Thanks for downloading the ThunderBot. This is the
initial release of this bot. ThunderBot is primarily
useful for clans if they need to get the records
of all the members in their clans. Large clans try to
refrain from creating a page which lists clan records
because then the Webmaster has no life. Also,
entering numerous names using /stats gets to become a
huge hassle.

********************* INSTALLATION ********************

The file that you received is in a zipped format. You
must unzip it before you can utilize this program.
Unzip ALL of the files in a folder where you can later
find it (Example: C:\Bots\ThunderBot).

The Thunderbot folder should contain the following:

 - SCThunderBot.exe
 - BWThunderBot.exe
 - configuration.txt
 - scmembers.txt
 - bwmembers.txt
 - README.txt

If you are missing any of these files, please
re-download from the website address mentioned in the
beginning of this README file.

Open the configuration.txt file in an editor such as
notepad or wordpad (VI if you're using Unix). The
first line is your username. Replace USERNAME with
your login name on Battle.net Do the same for
PASSWORD. The third and last line says HOMECHANNEL.
At this point, the bot can only handle channels one
word long. If you are missing ANY of these lines, then
the bot will probably not work. Make sure that ALL of
these lines are completed correctly.

What about the server address? The server address is
defaulted to battle.net and is not changeable. I have
not supported the changing of servers at this time.
It maybe implemented in newer versions.

***************** EDITING MEMBERS FILE *****************
There are 2 member files:

 - bwmembers.txt
 - scmembers.txt

Edit the files. DO NOT REMOVE THE FIRST LINE. If you
replace the first line with a member's name, then it will
not be recorded by the program. Input a new member's
name on every NEW line. The MAXIMUM names that the Bot
will return stats for is 99. Do not exceed this number
or you will not receive stats for members beyond that.

****************** RUNNING THUNDERBOT ******************
You have available two executable programs:

 - BWThunderBot.exe
 - SCThunderBot.exe

The BWThunderBot.exe program will checks stats for ONLY
Brood War. Do not try to run the same program if you
wish to find stats for Starcraft. The way that I have
designed the program, I made the program wait a few
seconds before it starts to do anything. But you will
know it is working if you see an advertisement.

The program will then read your configuration file and
take over from there. If you change the name of the
configuration file, then it will return an error. The
bot will log onto Battle.net and join your home
channel. If you are not in your home channel, then the
bot will automatically return to your home channel.
After reaching your homechannel, the bot will start to
send the /stats command to the server. It will not not
seem like the bot is receiving any information at all,
but trust me, it is. After the /stats command is sent
for EVERY member in the bwmembers.txt file, the stats
willstart to be thrown on the screen. There is a one
second delay between each INFO return to prevent you
from getting flooded off. Everything will then be
written to a created file called BroodWar.log which
contains ALL of the stats. Just open it and behold, the
stats of every member that are in your bwmembers.txt
list. This process can take a while depending on how
many members are in your list.

Repeat the procedure above for scmembers.txt file and you
will receive the Starcraft stats for your members.

The stats file for Brood War will be located in
BroodWar.logand for Starcraft, the file will be
Starcraft.log

************* KNOWN LIMIATIONS ON THUNDERBOT **************

 - This bot connects to the server battle.net.
 	- If you have a bot connected to this server, please
choose a different server for that program.

 - No more than 99 names may be inputted in the members.txt
files (There is no specific reason why I chose 99)

 - Only channels one word long are possible

 - Member names that are Invalid will return an error. But,
this will not be posted in the log files

 - The records will not necessarily return in order. This
is a problem with Battle.net and not the Bot's
