well to launch blizzard maps, i would recommend that you use the all in one launcher since then you can chose your ai difficulty, if you want to launch custom made maps then you need to use lazylauncher.


some custom maps might not open but most will.
all in one needs some coding on the map itself to run it, most custom maps dont have this.

do you need some more images to complete all the cursor functions? because i know someone who had got some of the images you could use.

no, sentries are only godly when you mass zerglings and roaches.


there are other options, you have mutas to use as well as hydras.


SC2 is not a rock paper scissors situation, there are plentiful units to your disposal.

yea im having that exact same problem it might work using different versions but i think someone needs to make a new one. guess blizz got us there.

one thing i have found is, that you can not open files unless they are .sc2map files.
where as some launchers only recognize .s2ma files.


just go into your settings and allow manual changing of the files extention.
it works because all the maps i had where s2ma files and i changed them into sc2map files for the editor.


what launcher are you using to run SC2 with patch 9 or 10?

its not working for some reason? does it have to be in the same regestry as the SC2 one?
hopefully someone can figure out the ai system.


i do everything mentioned and whenever i press play it doesnt respond and crashes..
what can i do?

It will not run because the hacks that we have for bypassing the login no longer work.
try running the starcraft2.exe, you will got right to the login screen not main menu.


this happens for patch 9 and above.


if you have a hack that works on patch 9 and 10 then please do share and the reason why it wont work is probably because the gui system isnt made for the hack.

hey everyone, just thought i would let people know.


since you need all the original files to update to  patch 9&10 for the editor.


so i was wondering, are people working on trying to make a new hack?


lazylaunch 2.0 works to some degree, you can open the map but you cannot play all you can do is look at the awesome new effects that they brought in, like race specific mouse pointers and supply as well as a new menue look with the options like gameplay and a new one of hotkeys. there are also images of the planet from which you are loading the map from.


so if anyone wants to update to patch 9 or 10, then you need to run the install all over again if you have over written the original base.sc2data file.


could anyone tell me if this can easily be fixed by replacing the file again with the modded base.sc2data file?
