changelog:
<improved zerg's air defense.
<No need for Gamedata folder now.
22# Strategy AI 0.4(fix?) updated. It seems the author has updated his files without changing version number. I guess I need to make an update too,I have no idea what has been changed though. For patch.sc2archive version please check 21#. Dead links have been updated too. :)
21# Strategy AI 0.4 updated.

patch.sc2archive standard version: http://u.115.com/file/f8a64892fe (http://u.115.com/file/f8a64892fe)
Base.sc2data is not available any more. Copy the file to XX:StarCraft II BetaVersionsBase14803 to replace the original file.(backup first!) You'll need the original file to watch replays though.
20# Aiur AI 1.32(only protoss) updated. Fixed many problems. According to the author,it's 15% stronger.
19# Strategy AI 0.31 updated.
changelog:
<Three main strategies for AI now:Early rush, rush with blend of various units,high-tech revenge! :P
<Optimized harassment.
<Optimized the condition for AI to make expansion.
<AI is quiet now.
base.sc2data download here: http://u.115.com/file/t826e2528 (http://u.115.com/file/t826e2528)
18#I messed up the names of each folder. Sorry but it's been fixed.
17#Aiur AI 1.31(Protoss only) updated. The author suxue says now it is recommended to use with Strategy AI!
16#Strategy AI 0.3 updated. Made a lot of changes according to the author. ;) Base.sc2data here:http://u.115.com/file/t8dc0f5a89 (http://u.115.com/file/t8dc0f5a89)
p.s. If you prefer a quiet AI,add "//" in the beginning of the last line in the strategyAI.galaxy file, which is "TriggerDebugOutput(1, StringToText("<c val=""+ player_colors +"">"+s+"</c>"), true);". :) Note that there's only 0.21 available for non-cheating AI now. Looks like the author has discontinued the non-cheating AI.
15#Gamedata Instruction:If you use starcraft II launcher, you'd better put Gamedata together with your Triggerlibs. For example,my Ghost AI directory is /Starcraft II beta/Mods/Ghost AI 1.1f/Triggerlibs,then my directory for Gamedata is /starcraft II beta/Mods/Ghost AI 1.1f/Gamedata. There's a bug if you put gamedata under your game directory when you use starcraft II launcher.
To check if your Gamedata has been applied correctly, create a game with only AI protoss,if they can use Chrono boost as soon as energy reaches 25,you are good to go! The same applies to Strategy AI. :)
14#Ghost AI 1.1(fix) updated. Fixed a bug that may cause freeze in the game. Please put Gamedata folder under your game folder, like Starcraft II Beta/Gamedata,or your AI will be very stupid. :P
13#Aiur AI 1.29(protoss patch for Ghost) updated. Fixed some AI problems.
12#Strategy AI 0.22 updated. Base.sc2data version,here: http://u.115.com/file/t85597cd49 (http://u.115.com/file/t85597cd49)
Changelog:
<Added Ghost AI's Gamedata
<Optimized AI's timing for attack
<Now Protoss' sentry can use skills in a battle
<Enabled Terran's battlecruiser's Yamato Cannon upgrade.
<Modified AI's timing for making expansion.
<Removed AI's defense buildings to avoid a conflict with a function of attack. This conflict may be solved in the next version.
<Resource in cheating version is not x2 but x1.6 now.
Put Gamedata folder under your game's root folder. /Starcraft II beta/Gamedata (If you encounter problems with your launcher, delete this folder. The folder is to give AI the ability to attack your units with low hp first. Not tested.)
11#Aiur 1.28 updated. Fixed a lot of problems and made several improvement! :)
10#Aiur 1.25 updated. Improved mid and late game;fixed the problem that AI never rebuilds his expansion after getting destroyed.
9#Ghost AI 1.1 updated. Made some minor improvement since 1.0 was not aggressive enough.
8#Aiur 1.20(Protoss patch) If you like Ghost AI,I strongly recommend this patch. Don't try two protoss AIs in one game, the author says it'll cause severe bugs.
7#update:Strategy AI 0.21. There are 3 versions now:Easy:Resource x1,no maphack;/Standard:Resource x1,maphack/Hard:Resource x2,maphack. For Base.sc2data version,here's the link:
http://u.115.com/file/t8296de200 (http://u.115.com/file/t8296de200)
changelog:
●My thanks go to starcrack AI 7.0. This AI uses some of its techniques.
●New method for AI to determine whether to attack.
●Optimized units skills upgrade.
●Optimized resource usage.
●Added more strategies.
●Redundant codes removed.
●Added easy and hard version.
●Try out and see.
6#update:Ghost 1.0. All known bugs fixed. The author says no more update in the near future, and I also hope so...
5#update:Ghost 0.91. Fixed bugs that AI may not build air defense or may not build high tech units.
4#update:Aiur AI 1.17
3#update:Ghost AI 9.0 now. BTW,the author said in 9.0 he used Starcrack AI 7.0's StarCrackTactical.galaxy file, which gives AI ability to repair or fly his buildings under attack. And some other improvement as well. :P
2#update:Aiur AI 1.16(Protoss patch for Ghost AI)
1#update:Someone(Suxue?) made a green patch to reinforce Ghost AI's Protoss. To use it, just replace the old TriggerLibs/Protoss.galaxy. BTW,the patch makes AI protoss completely clean (no maphack) yet stronger.
Since no one updated these two AIs,which are from a chinese forum,I have registered an account here just to share them.
I have just won the first time against ghost AI 0.7 last night, then the new version came out this morning. :D Also,Strategy AI 0.2 only came out yesterday. It looks impossible for me to win it at the moment. I'm noob on SC2 though... :P
I guess they may be semi non-cheating AIs,coz I have a feeling that they have a sort of maphack thing.
Thanks for bringing these over here man, I'm a big fan of the Chinese AIs :)
Thanks, dude...!
I really kinda like that Strategy AI and I guess I will like this updated one even more :)
Thanks again!
You are all welcome. :)
I'll keep the thread up to date.
How do you launch strategyAI thrhough betalauncher? I put triggerlibs folder on the AI folder but I get an error when launching it.
Guys i dont know how to use this AI.... please someone tell me how do it. I tried renaming it to Mods but i keep on getting errors. Please help me.
Yeah, I have the same problem with all AIs that do not include the .mod and have a triggerlibs folder. Could not find any post on any other thread as well for solution.
Take the original Base.SC2Data and replace TriggerLibs files with the ones in the archive. I already did that so here's GhostAI 0.8 in mod format.
Use this launcher, it seems to be the most stable to me.
http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/sc2-tools/starcraft-ii-launcher/ (http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/sc2-tools/starcraft-ii-launcher/)
I had to reinstall my beta because I somehow messed it up using different AIs and launchers, but it is very clean and easy now.
Heres an example of what the ghost directory looks like after SC2 Launcher is installed:
C:\Documents and Settings\Justin\Desktop\SC2 Launcher\Mods\ *this is where you move the ghost folder to* Ghost AI 0.8\TriggerLibs\files.galaxy
Thanks Foobie, but how do I replace the original Triggerlibs files? I can't find them to change the mod. I ask you in order to make strategy 0.2 work as well
I placed the strategy 0.2 folder in the same folder where I keep all my AI but I get an error when I try to use the Beta Launcher with it.
For a newb, would you mind showing how to convert its files into a Base.SC2Data file?
Well... i got it working by putting the original Mods folder + trigger folder in the starcraft 2 beta folder...
Make sure your Base.SC2Data file is original as some AIs need to replace this file with theirs. And then put the Triggerlibs folder under your game folder, like C:/program files/Starcraft II Beta/Triggerlibs/.
If you use starcraft II launcher like me,you may creat a folder and name it Ghost AI 0.8 and put its Triggerlibs folder in the Mods folder. It should be like /starcraft II Beta/Mods/Ghost AI 0.8/Triggerlibs.
Just make sure everything else is original.
Trup, figured out how to make a new mod... here is what to do:
1. Download MPQ editor from here
http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html (http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html)
2. make a new folder in the AI folder named ghost 0.8 for example and place the original sc2base mod there. Then open the file wih the mpq editor and copy the ghost triggerlibs folder and paste it inside the editor to replace the original ones. when you exit the mod is changed and i works
Played vs strategy 0.2 and lost after 15 minutes.. is it a cheating bot?
Thanks for bringing those AI over, really fun to play against.
strategy AI is a no resource cheating AI,but somewhat know the information of players.
The author clearly made a mistake and made both versions cheating. I made a post about it on my site. You could download the one I made or just change these lines in Ghost.galaxy from:
AIHarvestRate (player, 2);
AIHarvestBonus (player, 2);
to
AIHarvestRate (player, 1);
AIHarvestBonus (player, 1);

Edit: He fixed it awhile ago I guess. The one ur using was the 2nd up. So nm.

Do you know what the changelog is for 8.0 to 8.5?
Changes:
• Strengthened AI Harassment
• Strengthened Terran & Protoss late game AI
• Minor bug fixes
from what I understand

Man,there are two versions in the ghost AI 0.85 pack. A cheating version(resource x2) and a semi-non-cheating version(computer knows what you are doing).

Not what I was saying. The original he uped had 2x resource gain in both ver. But you added the 2nd one he upped. So it doesnt matter.
How do I tell which is the resource hacker?
edit: nevermind! dumb question :P i was assuming .85 was going to have chinese characters in the zips like .8 did, but i was wrong. if that was you, OP, who renamed the packs, thank you :P
Hey, that strategy AI is pretty damn good!! I checked, and it doesn't cheat as far as resources. I'm pretty sure it "map hacks", but hey, it's just an AI so I'll give it that handicap. ;)
So it's given me the best challenge!
The Ghost AI is only good when they terran imho.
The Strat AI is awesome, too bad they don't "Scout" even if they can see map, would have added a nice feel to the game.
But other than that, awesome AI, Starcrack 7 has to do good to beat this. getting so excited, playing AI has never been so much Fun lol!
Manta
Terran Ghost Ai is just sick. I've neever seen better use of banshees, they just find a weak spot without defense and harass. Also if you send one sentry for example they kill it, if you send 4-5, the banshees retreat and go to another defenseless spot of your base. Gonna try 0.9 now and starcrack7 and will post reviews later.
Great work guys! Even I have a beta key, I enkoy playing with bots and trying new strategies to improve my game.
Well,I think Ghost 0.9 is worse than 0.85. :(
Much better than starcrack 7 IMO. Haven't tried the cheating7 but 0.9>std7 by far. As the above poster can't see much difference than 0.85 though. Fact is that ghost is still the king of bots!
Really strange. Some say Ghost 0.9 is much better than 0.85 while some say it's much worse. Maybe I haven't played enough coz Ghoust AI updates so frequently, but I find 0.9 is easier for me than 0.85.
For those of you that don't wanna mess with MPQ editor and moving files over, etc...I've uploaded the Base.SC2Data file for strategy AI v0.2.
Enjoy!

Does these Ghost AI 0.91 and Strategy AI 0.2 have a site or place where one can check their progress and maybe give some feedback?
Would be appreciated
Edit: lol i just watched Ghost AI with the Aiur Protos "update" take on one another TvP, can almost not believe its bots playing, Protos won. yay for me.
Double Edit: and protos lost best of 3 :"<

The code is a mess, i really can't understand it. But I must say that it works really good.
Just some things missing:
- No Clear Obs Wave, so, no rocks are destroyed.
- Sometimes more than 1 Comand center is build.
But the rest is just amazing!

They are from a chinese forum:http://3dmgame.chnren.com/bbs/StarCraft/
And unregistered users can't download attachment files.
I just found the thread on that site - I guess 0.2 is still the latest version. XPL is the author... just wish I knew how to contact him to give him kudos!
I just checked out the galaxy files for the strategy AI, namely StrategyAI.galaxy, and it looks like the reason this AI is so damn good is because XPL painstakingly coded the AI to react/build specifically for EVERY matchup (ZvZ, ZvT, ZvP, etc...) There are 9 in total.
This guy deserves a lot of credit!

What's GFW? Should I upload it to a different file host? I really want more ppl to try out this AI - it's very impressive!
And just curious, are you Chinese? How exactly are you conversing with XPL? :)
I think maybe I'll start another thread so it's less confusing - more ppl may try it out then!

Man,new version of Strategy AI's coming, including base.sc2data version. You can choose to:
1.Manage to register in the chinese forum and contact buyiyi (username of the Strategy AI author) or
2.Wait a few days for the new release here.
So I tried that Strategy AI.... holy crap it took me by surprise!
Now, I didn't lose to the AI, but damn it was much more challenging. I played 3 games:
1st game: Terran (me) vs Terran on Blistering Sands
2nd game: Terran vs Protoss on Kulas Ravine
3rd game: Terran vs Zerg on Steppes of War
I started off the 1st game like I usually do, pump out some M&M while I tech to mech against Terran. Let's just say the terran AI harassed me so much with reapers and banshees it really took me off guard. That, coupled with timing the harassments with attacks on my natural, and it was just a huge pain. Late game they have a very nice mix of units, even pumping out Thors, and successfully took out my natural. By the skin of my teeth I was able to fend them off from my main. However, I discovered a fatal flaw in this AI... they don't rebuild their expansions. Ever. I quickly hit their natural and 3rd expo. After that I just starved them out of resources, making me get the win.
After that, I was easily able to exploit this AI. Protoss was easy with ghost EMP (and I never gave them the chance to spec to high templar...), however they did spec DTs which was annoying as hell lol.
Zerg... since I knew I could easily starve them for resources... was pretty easy.
If they rebuilt their expansions this would be the best AI by far. Their harassment is excellent (which really determines a game, imo) and they diversify their units. Perfect example: Against the zerg I scouted they had roaches, so I went marauders... After one engagement, the second engagement they came at me with mutas... took me by surprise again lol.
If this AI rebuilt it's expansions... it would've easily pwned me a couple times.
Guys, ghost 1.0 is simply amazing. I believe even better than strategy 0.2
I lost TvZ and it was very close. The AI did everything right. Harrassed me with mutas, built updated speedlings with +2 attack, built roaches and even corruptors+broodlords. When I went to the attack I managed to take out his expansion using M&M+siege tanks and even went to the main base but I didn't send reinforcements and they took me out. After 2-3 minutes I attacked again and the expo was already rebuilt and in full production. Finally he massed zerged me with corruptors and broodlords as backup and I lost. First time I lose to an AI playing with Terrans.
Going to try the Ghost AI 1, but im just not sure if i still need to update the Aiur AI 1.17 in the new Ghost AI 1, or is their Protos now better then Aiur? if any one can tell i would be much obliged.
Manta
I can't wait for them to release a version with all libs replaced by a Base.SC2Data file so I could easily implement it with Vernam7's launcher and try it out. If it is more stable in the next version, definitely this would be the greatest AI! I did expect exactly those funny moments with Starcrack's AI - good mixture of units, better harassment, more worker killing strategies involving flying units etc... But I am deeply thankful to Starcrack's team so far for bringing joy to us all playing versus a computer.

Aiur is still strongly recommended! I can beat Ghost AI's protoss but got completely owned by it after applying Aiur's patch. The amazing part is that the new protoss doesn't even have full map vision. It is so much smarter and stronger than Ghost's default one!
The one thing I need to know about these two AIs: How do I make them EASIER? ^^ Is there no configuration or a line in the galaxy-files where I can give them 0.5x minerals or something?
Thx.

Very difficult AIs, but they still don't exactly play like humans yet. I've played ZvT(AIs being T) against both AIs (haven't played the updated ones yet), and I must say, they don't wall-in, nor do they have enough early-game units to contend with upgraded zerglings. This is really the only way I win, because they seemingly always go the same build, at least for early game, and when I arrive with my lings, they have 1-2 marauders and 3-4 marines, and I can take them out and quickly macro up more lings to hit the SCV line. If the computers went for the traditional wall-in, I have no doubt they would be twice as hard. My point in this explanation is to ask this question, does anybody know of an AI that plays more like humans, that is, does wall-ins and other such strategies popular in the current meta-game?
Where does the author of Strategy AI post his releases?
Chriamon, atm i doubt there is, Maybe practice against the strengths of the AI, instead of timing attacks to its weaknesses. ( i love that line )
Maybe tomorrow they will bring a imbar AI that that can't be beaten ;)
my 2cents
Manta
lol, havent had time to play any of the ais yet. but ai 7.0 was wayyyyy to easy... too predictable, they always mass tier1 units for the first wave, and after that, idk whats next since they are already beaten.
Finally, strategy AI does not have maphack, it was impossible to harass it :)

there is so much AI that seems to be coming out. im just testing all to see which is better. if you still want i can let you know about a easier AI than Strategy or ghost but better than Starcrack?
jason_born, Thx for updating the AI's. was waiting for the new Aiur! <3

There is something strange in Ghost AI 1.1. I'm playing zerg vs protoss. I'm making zergling rush. when his nexus is destroyed SC 2 is starting freeze for 5-10 sec. and unfreeze periodicaly! I think it is a little bug in AI code, maybe. Is there anyone else who got this issue?
Can I ask if somebody that has access to the Chinese web site and can download strategy AI as Base.sc2data file to upload it here? I would be very grateful!
The thing is that I want just to test it with AllIn1 Tool without replacing files, just to pick it from there. Thanks in advance!
Here's the Base.sc2data mod versions of both ghost 1.1f+Aiur 1.28 and Strategy 0.22, if you're using Valkirie (http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/../../../profile/?u=1567)'s beta launcher just unzip these to the AI folder.
Getting the freezing problems too, they almost always happen in four player games with a zerg player or if a terran player lifts off their command center. Not sure what's going on there.
These AIs are amazing though, very good build orders, macro and countering
If they learned to wall off like chriamon said they'd put up a very good fight, right now that and the fact that they always seem to 12 pool makes them lose easily to early rushes. That's just nitpicking though, good job whoever made this.
edit - Updated the zip
The AI's are pretty easy to deal with at every game state, if you pay attention to your macro. I play protoss, so i can only speak for it.
- They don't care about your units positions e.g. if the shooters are on a Cliff and snipes them while they try to go through your meat shields. I don't know how hard this is to program, but it looks for me that the retreat algorithm could use some tweaks.
- They don't know how to adapt to mass HT's with Stalker and Zealot support, same applies to early Void Ray's.
- I don't understand their expand decisions, since i got the feeling that they start to expand early if i expand early, but they don't expand if i build a huge force.
AI's strategy goes deep and it's fun to pleh against this one !
Nice work
I've got to say best AI around. Actually beat me when I got lazy unlike StarCrack
In Strategy AI 0.22 when you use GameData dir you will get a bug when press 'reasart' button.
you will see zerg and cannot control it.
Strategy AI is just incredibly good at the moment. It should be the official AI of SC2 unless Blizzard develops something better.
i have problems with unziping the strategy ai 0.22. it says that the archive is corrupt/damaged. could anyone upload this file somewhere? i believe that its because of is this web site. cant wait for resource bonus nerf of hard version strategy ai 0.22. thx a lot
Can anyone clarify how to use those AIs?
As far as I can see there are 3 different TriggerLibs: Strategy 0.22, Ghost 1.1 and Aiur 0.28 so in order to get them working I suppose Strategy 0.22 should be used with its GameData's variant (unfortunately only DLed from the Chinese site with like 1KB/s).
Then which TriggerLibs to use Ghost 1.1 or Aiur 0.28 and where to put the folder? It says that Aiur is a patch for Ghost's protoss so should Aiur's Protoss.galaxy be replaced in Ghost's TriggerLibs folder and overwrite?
What is the difference between all those? Why are they in one thread but not in different ones, do they have anything in common? Why in the latest Strategy AI 0.22 it says in the changelog: "Added Ghost AI's Gamedata"? Does this mean that the Ghost is included in it?
Strategy AI 0.22 Review
Macromanagement (9/10)
Resources only average on the thousands. Could be better if it was at the 500's.
Micromanagement (9/10)
Almost perfect. Picks off weak units, know when to retreat and micros dying units away from battle. If only it is to be taught some micro tricks.
Harrassment (7/10)
Very decent. Once again, teaching it a variety of harassing techniques would be beneficial (burrowed Infestors, Vikings at minerals, Colossus-Prism)
Map Control (10/10)
LOL it has full vis of map...

Can anyone clarify how to use those AIs?
Then which TriggerLibs to use Ghost 1.1 or Aiur 0.28 and where to put the folder? It says that Aiur is a patch for Ghost's protoss so should Aiur's Protoss.galaxy be replaced in Ghost's TriggerLibs folder and overwrite?
well, i was using SC2Launcher2.3.1 where u can easily pick one ai u want to play with but since strategy ai 0.22 is in a Base.SC2Data version i m back in starcrack launcher rev 40. to play strategy ai 0.22 u have to replace base.sc2data in liberty.sc2mod folder (starcraft II beta\mods\liberty.sc2mod\base.sc2data). have the original one in backup
yes, aiur ai is a patch for ghost ai so just replace ghost's protoss.galaxy with latest aiur's
ok i found alternative dl for strategy ai 0.22: http://u.115.com/file/t85597cd49 (http://u.115.com/file/t85597cd49) (click on one of those two blue links in that light orange box)
Thanks, this one rocks 8)
Wow, gotta say. This AI is actually a formidable opponent. Completely wiped the floor with me and I'm used to completely rocking the 7.0 Ai.
Uploaded newer mod versions here (http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/ai-scripts/ghost-ai-and-strategy-ai-updated/msg14021/#msg14021), I'll keep updating that post whenever new versions come out since these AIs are so awesome 8)
Strategy 0.21 included a non cheating version which was not so easy. Is the easy version on 0.22 the "no map vision" one or is it a semicheat crippled?
Strategy and Ghost AI is realy good. Usuale im playing against Ghost Ai. And i disappointed what terran always builds only Marine+Marauders+Medivacs and some reapers and ghost. Where is hellions, vikings, banshes, siege tanks?? And i realy want to see the Raven !)))

Strategy 0.22 should be used with its GameData's variant (unfortunately only DLed from the Chinese site with like 1KB/s).
i live in china for now.. :P i got like 200kb/sec :jig:
Which launcher do you use for these 2 AIs ?
Valkyrie won't accept Ghost AI because there's no Base.SC2data
I am having an issue with Ghost 1.1 AI, I open it and I see an empty map, no bases anywhere.
Protoss are vulnerable to air units on Strategy AI 0.22
My replay:

I beat protoss whit only Warp rays, (and im so bad at this game...)
Terran in Strategy AI is easy when playing with protoss. I beat it everytime with stalker spamming. Nevertheless I think this is one of the best AIs. It knows how to pressure and from time to time he really gets on my nerves. :) I have played Starcrack before Strategy AI and it was pretty good. But now after learning how to win vs Strategy AI, Starcrack seams like childplay to me. :D
Honestly what an amazing AI the Strategy version is. This AI knows exactly when to expand, how to harass, how to counter, etc. I wouldn't consider myself a noob at RTS so I'm able to beat the hard (semicheating) ai easily every time. But when I play the cheating AI with 1.6x mineral, ive been able to beat protoss and zerg but never terran. can anyone post a replay of themselves beating the 1.6xmineral cheating terran as a zerg player? I do well and am able to fend off the first marine rush and then after i fend off the second rush with maurauders, marines, and hellions, i rush his expo with the remaining roaches/zerglings/banelings and just get slaughtered by MMM/hellion combination that the ai can just pump out right away with his mineral advantage. I get expo much faster than the ai and try to harass workers with zergling but if the game goes meta its pretty much over.

hi there; first time poster
i've searched the forum but couldn't find how to make cheating strategy ai to have 1.5x resource (or any other multiplier other than 2x) since 2x is near impossible for me. I use replaced Base.SC2Data with lazylaunch2. Thanks in advance.
Has anyone been able to win PvT (you being Protoss)? I think it's an almost impossible match-up because they almost immediately use ghosts with EMP and sniper shot before you have a chance to tech up to stronger units. And IMO, stalkers are SO damn weak, even mixed in with a good amount of zealots, my army gets decimated early game. wtf?
I usually manage to hold off the first few attacks, but for some reason, no matter how much I expand, I still seem to lose a lot of the time PvT. Most games I lose with AT LEAST 3 bases and 10-12 gateways pumping units. :-\

You must not be playing PvT :-\ the semi-cheating with only vision and NO resource cheat is hard as hell...

really? i can beat all races with protoss... i tech up to colossus really quickly while pumping out immortals, stalkers and zealots. by the time that they attack with the first wave of marines, i just micro my stalkers until a colussus or i have about 5 photon cannons and some units to fend of the marine rush. once i get 1 colussus, i attack and always manage to kill terran.

??? Damn i thought it was 2x. In that case i have to keep trying to beat it. Thanks for the info.
This is a really good AI. Its expansive and reactive to each attack. You can be easily overwhelmed if you allow it to expand unchecked.
Only easy way i found to kill it is using the infamous "zerg rush". You always get it building without defenses. :D

Kurt, have you played any other matchup and have you been able to beat them with what matchups adn how? I find it very tasking. But its true as zerg i can win relatively easy. Also there should be a stickied thread for strategy ai updates etc.

It is very tasking for sure. I can defeat it without problems in normal and fast speeds. Main problem in fastest is its overwhelming production speed. My favorite map is 2 vs 2 Twilight Fortress where i can see how it builds while im playing. A fastest speed match like this usually ends up with our bases invaded by a Protoss Mothership, a bunch of Terran Thors or Zerg Ultralisks. :D

Oh okay, so it isnt just me that gets owned. I should try fast or faster. I was getting owned by exactly that. Motherships etc. I beat the zerg once and teh terran once. But was luck and just timing. PVP was tougha s fuck. no matter what i did i would get owned by mothership armies...
Question about strategy 0.22:
When I launch the easy version, which is by the way much smarter than starcrack7.0, I get a message that version 0.21 is loaded. On the cheating versions I get 0.22 loaded. Anyone else noticed that?

In your .zip file the "non-cheating" version is actually still version 0.21, do you have verison 0.3 for it?
Thanks.
We dont have a non-cheating version of Strategy AI 0.3 Base.SC2Data but we have a TriggerLibs folder. How can we install it? :-[
Here are sc2data versions of the new Ghost AI, enjoy.

Sorry, man. I didn't notice that the non-cheating version was 0.21. But for now,0.21 is the only available version for non-cheating strategy AI. It seems the author discontinued the non-cheating version.
Haha, why does the strategy AI 0.3 say random stuff like 'You lost.' 'You cannot handle my imba build order'. Then when you defeat it, it will begin to say things like 'I believe I can still win.' and 'What is your name, I think you can join a competition.' and 'Your computer must be so bad that it cannot run me properly'. It was sort of amusing at first, but then its over confidence was a bit annoying.
I hope the non cheating versions will continue to be updated, because cheating AIs make it difficult to test rushes and other strategies that would work vs real players.
Non-cheating AI petition? :))
Ghost AI is sick. Its unbeatable (the cheating one). Well, at least it is unbeatable for me. Im kinda new to StarCraft world tho.
I'm a little bit confused here. The .zip file of Strategy AI 0.3 contains 2 files - one cheating AI and one semi-none-cheating AI, both of which have the same size (846 KB). The semi-none-cheating one does the Trash-Talking ingame, which is a new feature of Strategy AI as far as I know, and it claims to be Strategy AI 0.3 at the beginning of each game.
So what makes u believe it's actually 0.21 instead of 0.30?
It seems to be a bit weaker than 0.22 though. At least Protos was expanding way to fast without building a decent army to defend it's expansions, making ist quite easy to defeat it. But it rebuilds it's destroyed expansions which is quite nice.
In latest Strategy 0.31 it is OK with AI versions now.
Alright thanks for the non-cheating version in 0.31! :)
Thx for sharing these with us everytime there is an update :) Much appreciated!
Does anybody know what are the numbers that Strategy AI 0.31 shows on screen? 1-2-3-4 and etc.
Is this game timer in minutes?
It might be good idea to include timer in AI code and show it during the game.
I noticed the zerg AI included in ghost is rather weak compared to the terran and the protoss patched Auir AI, so i figured I'd mess around with the zerg AI. It was fun making a "semi-cheating" AI, and I really exploited that to the fullest. I made the Zerg AI (Which I creatively called "DoZerg") build units based on what units its opponent builds, really exploiting the "maphack" portion of the AI. It wins pretty much all of the time vs the Auir and Ghost AI (except when the AI fails at micro, sending ling swarms to fight on ramps and such). If anyone wants to try it, I've attatched it. Just extract contents to ghost mod directory and overwrite. I found it entertaining to watch the Ghost terran I've had so much trouble with myself be beaten so soundly (OK, maybe a little exageratting :P )
Can we use DoXerg with Strategy AI?
Probably not in its current form, but I'm messing with it more, I'm going to make it much more complete and compatable with other AIs as well.
I'll probably make a thread once I have a complete version, that version is sloppy, but is mainly a "proof of concept" so to speak.
thanks. Yes I saw how he killed Ghost terran - just like me - mass mass lings & some roaches. Looks good. But there is a big job you have to do. I killed him with bunker rush from one barracks.
And it was more easy than with Strategy AI. Overlords were flying to bunker and dying. He made a qween instead of zerglings.
I dream about AI with full map vision who will be able to fix such all-in rushes.

Yea I noticed something buggy, my AI doesn't function vs users for some reason, it only works when it is vsing another AI, I'll have to look at it and see where the bug is.
EDIT: fixed it, and I updated the AI, much stronger now, I'll probably make my own thread soon.
Ok he is stronger now. My bunker rush was succesful only on second try. He tried to kill bunker and barracks. Good.
How can I turn off timer count in 0.31?
Strategy AI 0.4 by XPL. Due to much confusion, here are simplified instructions:
Method A: XPL's 0.4 patch.SC2Archive file, copy into C:\Program Files\StarCraft II Beta\Versions\Base14803.
Strategy AI 0.4 semi-non-cheating (http://rapidshare.com/files/377360772/Strategy_AI_0.4_semi-non-cheating_.rar)
Strategy AI 0.4 1.6x cheating (http://rapidshare.com/files/377360771/Strategy_AI_0.4_1.6cheating_.rar)
-If you watch replays, make a backup file
-Delete any TriggerLibs folder in the Mods directory
-Any base.SC2Data will do, as it is overwritten anyways
Method B: My 0.4 base.SC2Data file, use these and only these.
Strategy AI 0.4 (http://rapidshare.com/files/377370896/Strategy_AI_4.0.rar)
-Recommended method if you like to switch between AIs.
-Some functionality, such as in-game timer, will be lost.
Original Chinese thread (http://sc2bbs.uuu9.com/read.php?tid=2302581)
Okay, so if I understand this correctly:
We must use the patch file version in order to watch replays, and cannot do so with just the base.sc2data?
Edit: Attached is the Base.sc2data, just rename it from Base.sc2data.zip to base.sc2data
I have to say, the protoss plays good. This is the semi-cheating one.
Here's updated base.SC2Data files (Strategy AI 4.0 by XPL). This should be the only file you need.
http://rapidshare.com/files/377370896/Strategy_AI_4.0.rar (http://rapidshare.com/files/377370896/Strategy_AI_4.0.rar)
I included TriggerLibs and GameData, but not the other folders in patch.SC2Archive. Perhaps someone with more experience could tell us what those other files are for.
Has anyone got the .4 strategy AI working properly as in does it actually display "Strategy AI .4" upon launching a new game? I've tried several different combinations of adding/removing the triggerlibs/gamedata folders but it seems the only text displayed shows Strategy AI .31. The instructions are a little bit incoherent could someone who has gotten this to work quickly repost instructions on how to get this version working?
- using SC2allin1 launcher
link doesn't work :(

I don't know how
SC2allin1 loads AIs, but I'm using Valkerie's launcher and this works for me:
1 - Make a backup first and move the patch.SC2Archive file to C:\Games\StarCraft II Beta\Versions\Base14803
2 - Copy the triggerlibs and gamedata folder from the archive file to a new Base.SC2Data file and use that to load the AI, or use the one Kernel64 made.
I'm not even sure you need to do the first step, I launched the game with the wrong patch version and the AI seemed to micro okay.

3. Is Standard version the non-cheat version?

finally got this new version of strategy ai to work. fucking had to reinstall like 6 times cus the patch and gamedata advice just ended up screwing shit up.
not to mention i had to system restore three times.
anyway, i just played against protoss on blistering sands and i must say its pretty hard. expansions and upgrades and what not. late game dominated me. very nice work by the programmer who scripted it.
Yes, probably the best semicheat AI right now... I am not sure if strategy 0.4 Protoss is better than Aiur alpha7 though, I will put them head to head with the GT arena!
yeah, keep us posted on how that goes.
Is there a way to turn off the time counter?
I've installed it by copying the Base.sc2data and the counter is just distracting while gameplay
Thank you for your hard work!
Sorry for being late. Strategy AI 0.41 updated now.
is the updated ai playable using patch 9+?
