This AI was coded by a Chinese modder, XPL. IMO, it's the most impressive AI by far. Even if you're good, you'll be challenged. He coded it to react/build appropriately for every single matchup (9 total), in addition to coding specific instructions for each race. It does NOT resource cheat, but it does have vision.
It shouldn't matter much though, the AI in SC1 always had full vis. Hell, with the amount of maphacking going on in SC1, at one point I think almost everyone had full vis. lol IMO, it's pretty sad for a person to use maphacks, but for an AI, it's the least you can do to give them some sort of a small handicap.

I second that this is one awesome AI. i atm i recommend it above all the others, not that my vote counts but at least it makes 2 of us so far.

OMG I just played my first game vs this AI, all I can say if amazing. It was Protoss vs Zerg in one crazy smooth and natural feeling battle. Closest I felt to actually playing vs real opponent.
I agree this one is far and above the other ones in natural attacks and teching.

Wow man this one is really good! It is very close to human survival reactions and exploration of map.
The starcrack versions don't see that the attacks are not working. this AI attacks alternatively when it realizes that previous attack didn't work.
This is the best StarCraft AI I've seen until now.

This AI was amazing when it attacked one side of my base and made me allocate defense there and did an invasion with reapers on the other side destroying every building on the way

See?! Yeah I saw this AI wasn't getting the attention it deserves on the other thread, so I had to try to share the wealth and make it known to more ppl. ;D
And what's even more amazing, this is only v0.2!!!! lol I have no idea how it's so much better than the 3rd/4th/5th+ revision of other AIs, but it is. There should be an update soon, not that it even needs one... I'll let you guys know. Yeah, this is by far the closest I've ever felt to playing against a human. I'm still very, very impressed.
Wow I've really gotta hand it to the "chinese modder" that created this AI. I almost felt like I was playing against a human. It understands harass really well. I would also like to thank Organized_Chaos for uploading this to DarkBlizz. Best AI I've played against yet.
cant wait to try it out, i was getting bored with the starcrack AIs so i quit playing for a while, hopefully this will be enough to get me back into the game :)

We consume a lot memory, the load time lasts too long
game performance for me (game with 1280x1024 resolution and all details to the maximum) with this AI me down to the 13 fps, when with Starcrack 6.1.1 and 7.0 is going to 60fps
aside from that are good, but to go that slow your computer does not enjoy

wow...barely survived beginning, ai saw i was fast expoing and rushed me for 2 mins with zealots, pulled off half my drones just to stay in the game. Teched up, massed and just as I was heading out of my base I got fucking rolled by the ai who built the exact counter to what I had lol.
Amazing thing was he played smart with his zealot rush, and knew when to stop building zealots altogether. He pulled back smartly too, not after losing half his units, but just after seeing what I was bringing to save my expo. I wonder if the ai knew I had gotten zerg speed and thats why he stopped the rush.
Anyways, great ai, tnx for posting!
P.S. this was hard, vision, but with regular minerals.

i use starcraft 2 beta launcher 0.25 ;
1-put the 3 ai folders in the AI folder of starcraft beta launcer (if i start the launcher i see the 3 ai that's ok)
2-Choose a map and start the game:
now there a 2 sub cases:
1-if i use the easy ai folder no matter what map i choose, at the end of loading screen i got the screen bugged like the link above.
2-if i use the ai folder: ..(Vision only) and i choose a non AI map, i can play regulary.
That's what i do if i did something wrong tell me plz. I havent any triggerlib folder cuz those files dont need that right?
EDIT: I just used the Original files posted above and i can use the ai without problems, those files require triggerlib? cuz i've beaten the ai so isi with original files :(

Hmm, it really all depends on the loader you're using. Which one are you using? Just get Valkirie's new loader.
I think most people are using loaders that require the full Base.SC2Data files, instead of just the TriggerLibs folder for the AIs... that's one of the reasons I started the new thread - I took the original TriggerLib folders and made them all into separate Base files for all the people that don't know how to use the MPQ editor.

Hmm, I dunno - I've only used the vision only version - I think it's just about perfect in terms of difficulty.
As I've said before, I think resource cheating AIs are pointlessly overpowered, and on the other end of the spectrum, the "easy" AIs are always TOO easy!
I'd just stick with the vision only! :thumbsup:
I must admit, this AI is extremely well done (not very well coded because it tis a messs xD) but the results are perfect.
The idea of coding the 9 different tipes of combat (TvT, TvZ, ...) is VERY good.
The next step of this AI, is to code a cooperation mode, so it wll help the other team members.
The rest, its just PERFECT.
I'm a noob playing SC2, and this AI always beat me :S
I was very surprised when I got reaper harassed. Like everyone else said, this AI feels a lot more like you are playing a human (although less skilled human). I noticed the AI doesn't take out destructible rocks and instead goes around them.
1st, I would like to thanks Organized Chaos and the Chinese team who made this AI.
2nd, I have to express my opinions about it. This AI is truly amazing, it is almost like you are playing with a human being. Couple of the most remarkable things about this AI are that they know how to harass (especially terran) and when to switch its units to counter the player. With Terran as my main race, I was able to beat it, and the AI will always brings me a exciting match. However as a novice Protoss player, the AI owns me every time.
This AI is the best AI so far for me. Strongly recommended if u are still playing with starcrack 6.1.1 (I felt v7.0 is even easier than 6.1.1).
Wow, I played 1 v 2 thinking I could beat them easily. First wave... Pretty easy (also both teams worked together). Then second wave... THORS?!?!? I just got destroyed. Great ai!
Quick question, in the money cheat, should I be seeing him get twice as many minerals in the replay?
Besides that, it's an ok AI if you want to play a long game and don't attack for a bit. It's only a pity that it's easily killed with a strong mid game push (stim M&M, ghost M&M, roach-hydra, 2nd colossus, 3 immortal etc.) It's very good to practice your harass management against on desert oasis if you play against terran.
Yeah this AI is pretty crazy man. I suck hard at SC and this AI perpetually rapes my face. I did, however, manage to beat zerg as protoss yesterday. WEEOO :) But yeah I love this AI!

I used to annihilate Starcrack v6/7 (and yeah, 7 is lot weaker than 6.1) but this AI is a real challenge!
Sorry that this post is more of the same. . . But this AI is simply the best of the best right now. :) I beat the Starcrack 7.0 every game and it didn't have a chance, but I have yet to beat this Strategy AI. (I play Toss) It's ability for harassment is amazing, especially as Terran. My only disappointment is that it maphacks and doesn't even pretend to scout. I think that this could be the next improvment.
Hmm..... I think I found a glitch in the programming. :-[ I was playing Twilight Fortress 2v2 with all Terrans. My ally built easily 3 dozen starports! ??? I don't know. . . . Still won. . . . just a little weird. Still a great AI.

hi i have lost reall like 25 games vs this AI with terra played vs toss and zerg . i am noob anyway...
Then i manged to win vs Zerga nd tosss witch kind of secure expansion mass bio infantry + some mediacs + vs toss emp)
Yesterday i watched some pro games tryed some thinks i saw there and Ai: had no chance
so far played 3 games with fast banshee haress and comp had no idea what to do against. maybe somthinks isent working because i guess when i has kind of maphack he should know what is coming.
Had really hard time before. gonnaa give it a few more trys.... but i think its good against human players also because if he counters at least u avoid thinks like roaches rush because he is force togo anti air anyways...
