It's two completely different playstyles.

Exactly, a human has what a comp wont for a long time, reasoning skills. We can make on the fly strategies and decisions while comps can only look through a list of "if's" and "else's". Not only that but it could work backwards also, someones weak strats against a comp could be very effective against humans.

He means how can he run the beta on a comp he hasn't installed it on, just copied and pasted the directory.

800x600 would be nice but its a common trend these days for newer games to not allow such low rez. I'm not sure why this is as for some of these games lower resolution means WAY more fps, but even WoW can't be run at 640x480, 800x600 as low as it will go, looks like for SC2 is 1024x768.

Sounds like the guys talking about overheating are more than likely correct. Download Cpu-z, gpu-z and Piriform Speccy to monitor your cpu and gpu temp.

Maybe I'm a little out of the loop though on the specs because I think I have a decent comp but I need to put almost all settings on low to get 30-40 fps.

My specs are:

AMD Athlon 2.6ghz x4 propus (Over clocked to 2.8ghz)
2Gb x2 800mzh DDR2 (Over clocked to 4-4-4-10)
BFG GeForce 210 512 DDR2 (Over clocked to 594 mhz core and 405 mzh mem)

Looks like your computer is having trouble running the game, try lowing some of the graphics settings.
