Hey guys, new here.
Thought i would help out with the development!
You guys need a UI for patch/fix for SC2? I'm tired of doing
manual copying around. So i made an app with a nice UI to do the job.

Do you have a download link?
By the way your buttons are photoshoped, please provide an online virus scan when posting the download link.
Yes i know my buttons are redone in photoshop. It's an alpha test
and i'm not really done with them yet. But hey it beats a normal button, right?
Right now i just need to finish my copy routine from embedded resources
and i have a working test app which i can upload to you guys.
Installer is also more or less done.
I'll keep this thread updated along the way.
cheers,
SC2 Switcher Dev.
Good job man! If the buttons can function, then we can make this process alot easier! Gimme download Link!
here is a test app :
http://www.mediafire.com/file/y3hmjkmq222/SC2_Switcher.rar (http://www.mediafire.com/file/y3hmjkmq222/SC2_Switcher.rar)
this test app doesn't actually do anything, it doesn't crack SC2 (yet),
just for testing purposes.
Hey guys, I'm also new here. I've got some experience with this sort of stuff and would be happy to help out. I'll see what needs doing and try and help out!
it's not draggable, make it draggable would be nice

I agree, also can you link the starcraft 2 exe to the button? Example = You push the "start starcraft 2 booton" (yay grammar) and you can umh...start it
Ofcourse, that's all part of my plan. And an MPQ import/export function.
Would be nice to give the users an option to extract the soundtracks etc ...
with a simple press of a button.
Plan is to make this the perfect launchpad for Starcraft 2.
Would you guys wan't an interactive experience in fullscreen mode?
i'm thinking of re-doing alot more menus and make a cooler interface,
with SC2 music integrated with a OGG player running in background (via fmod?),
button sounds etc... kinda like the ultimate launcher of all times fitted for the SC2 trilogy!
Full MPQ imports/exports
MediaBay : Screenshot modes taken during gameplay.
MapBay : Manage your maps
ReplayBay : Manage your replays.
etc...
or is this taking it to far ? :D
Well, if you want to work on it, then that would be nice.
Tried to open the .gfx files and they won't open. Even used a hex editor to change the file header to cws, cfx, gfx, and swf, but they don't open. The battle.net.gfx file is the main file that opens up the menu and everything, and you can only open it using scaleform gfx, but it won't open...Guess you can't do nothing.
Hey SC2_Switcher,
I don't know what features you have in mind. From a program mind of things. You should have a subfolder wherever your app is going to be. In it all the files that will be imported would be inside, as well as a custimizeable XML stating the file information for all the files to be patched/changed/imported, as well as where they should go. It when asked to patch should backup the files listed in that XML from the Untouched Starcraft 2 Location and place them into another Subfolder called Backup or something. As well as a Log stating the success or what not. These would be used if something goes wrong and need to revert. After backup is done it would then import and overwrite the needed files stated in the XML or INI file. This would make your program very easy to update as well as for devs to use it as a patching tool. They could just modify the included XML file and place the files into the Subfolder. Just some thoughts. If you want you could allow multiple patches, and allow the user to select the patch they want to install. I don't really know my thoughts on this last Idea. But just a thought. For example if someone wanted to be able to play the game that could be one patch. If they wanted better AI that could be another. Holler your thoughts.
Thanks
Todd
i asked kyler to remove the ripped ui. hopefully he will.

If im not mistaken, the members here look in your app for its functionality, not its looks.
If i may make a suggestion...Dont focus much on the interface, focus on the things this app actually does.
Btw, for some reason, some replays made in the legit sc2b game aren't viewable in the cracked version.
As you all heard, there was recently a sc2b competition organised by the ESL. Like the average Joe, i downloaded the replays and when i run them, they load and upon startup of the game i get an ingame error saying "Replay desync" and below it the "Leave Game" button. Could you guys do anything about it?

I say, focus on both, just release it quick!!
hahaha.. funny guys your pushing the dev around hehe.. will i say focus on the multiplayer.. hahaha
It´s so so difficult implementing the selection for a race in the launchers?
Race selection will be implemented :)
But be patient, it will take a few more days until everything is in place.
Cool! one question more....the AI levels...difficult...is from blizzard or is made from devs? I mean, that AI make an exp, attack on first 3 min of game...sorry my english.Hope you understand all xd
I've included the standard base from Blizzard, 4 difficulty AI's from me and
the future ones included in the next version of StarCrack AI v5.x/6.x
All resource files are embedded into the .exe for easy portability mode.

Yeah where is the download link at, coming soon or what? :'(
Can't wait for it (Race selection. ahhhhhh) :-)
Wow that looks amazing. Can't wait for race selection.
Eagerly awaiting selection screen, would be the first step towards LAN play i think :D
Did you quit on this or something switcha?
I'm just loosing interest in the SC2 Beta that's all.
It's boring me to death. But i'll do my best to keep it up.
i can see why, they didnt add all the goodies we had in the original starcraft/broodwar, so it is very easy to loose interest
