AI Scripts / Re: AI Difficulty Patch
February 27, 2010, 07:34:15 PM
I just played on Hard, no lines of code here.

As a side note, the AI's were very active, they built small armies of 6-9 units everytime they would attack. After 3 games, I find the Terran AI is coded better because they are always the one to kill other AI's, I've yet to see an AI kill a Terran AI.

By no means are they difficult, 2 Banshees killed the best AI of 1 game. But at the same time, 12 marines died to another AI. So they are lively enough to test some basics strategies, or to hold minor resistance but if you were looking to brush up your skills, no luck for you :-\

Not enough Pylons / Re: Tutorial : How to play against ai
February 27, 2010, 04:10:01 AM
True enough, just copying the file here will save everyone else some time, if it isn't done tomorrow then I'll post what I can get!

Haha ironically enough, so did I. You can generally tell by the posts and lack of "do this to see the download link"'s lol

Didnt test it out but, props if you got it, wont be very hard id imagine to get a fully functioning player now

Edit: You could probably do some major editing and create a zombie-base to siege, which could definitely keep me entertained till a fully functioning crack comes out, will see what I can come up with when I get on tomorrow!

As you mentioned with the possibilities, that is what the designers hinted at about the Editor having limitless possibilties, nice to know it wasnt all talk for once

If its real, there's a good chance it'll pop up here or some other trusted site.

Lmao at Pablols, that is way more epic than my nuking 200/200 Vikings.

@bignamethefer
if you dont have files in Starcraft II Beta > Maps, then head over to nibbits.com and download some sc2 maps

Not enough Pylons / Re: Help Please, can't patch :(

Itd seem you downloaded the client from a bad source
icuuc42.dll is a file in the /Support section of SC2 Beta folder, double check to see what you have in that folder maybe.

Starcraft II Beta > Support

I havent tested but im leaning towards 99.9% fake.
A) No link for this would stay hidden, if its a torrent or a filehosted site, people would re-up it to share with the rest of the world, as seen with a SANDBOX mode, nevermind fully functioning opponents or real.
B) It requires you to complete an offer, this is the big one. Its more than likely simply him wanting to cash in on desperate gamers
C) I'm gonna bet he got a beta key then planned this all out, or just voiced over someone else's video

Even if only one of the above is true, you'd want to steer clear of it ;)

Lol ok! I guess its gone, but just a 20 minutes ago I fired up Starcraft 2 beta and on the main menu screen on the left hand side, it said something like: "Breaking News: BAll servers will be going under maintenance ...."

Ya, they are probably trying to patch our crack lol.

Doubtful, Blizzard gains nothing but good things from the current crack; even if it upgrades to a vs. AI skirmish mode, they still gain potential customers and feedback.

The point at which they stop gaining is when they would try to block attempts, and in my opinion that point would be someone emulating a battle.net 2.0. That means less customers, whereas I feel comfortable saying less than 0.1% will be buying SC2 for offline skirmishes vs AI.

Its more than likely just someone with a beta key or, even more, just someone who used another user's beta video with his own sound written over.

Aside from that, his link requires you to complete offers; hes just trying to make  a quick %buck off you!

There's absolutely no risk with this it works fine! While it is a little boring without any AI to play against its still good to get the hang of the units and learn the shortcuts before you get to play for real! Its surprising how much has changed from sc1 and will take a little getting used to! (At least for me anyway)

Coming from someone who was better than the majority of sc players, this game is defff gonna take getting used to!

Haha I kept doing B+P to make pylons and it wouldnt work. Took me awhile to figure out they changed it to e (wtf?). Hotkeys are really the only difference to me though, new abilitys are negligible really just gotta make a few small changes to how you build things.

Oh and built-in multihack is for sure a lifesaver, I'm a fan.
