Lol ok! I guess its gone, but just a 20 minutes ago I fired up Starcraft 2 beta and on the main menu screen on the left hand side, it said something like: "Breaking News: BAll servers will be going under maintenance ...."

Ya, they are probably trying to patch our crack lol.

Doubtful, Blizzard gains nothing but good things from the current crack; even if it upgrades to a vs. AI skirmish mode, they still gain potential customers and feedback.

The point at which they stop gaining is when they would try to block attempts, and in my opinion that point would be someone emulating a battle.net 2.0. That means less customers, whereas I feel comfortable saying less than 0.1% will be buying SC2 for offline skirmishes vs AI.
