UPDATE: You can now watch all the newest replays --> http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5404675/StarCraft_2_(_II_)_Beta_Advanced_Loader_NEW(fix_replay_desync)

One of the RAR inside the torrent is called drivecache-01-03-10.RAR, just copy the content inside the Cache (Replace everything it asks you to replace) And bam there you go, you can watch all the newest replays. Cache is in C:/users/Username/appdata/local/blizzard entertainments/battle.net/cache for the noobs.

Replays work with newest patch...If you do have replay problems. Please make sure:

1) You have battle.net.gfx in your (Starcraft II beta installation folder)\battle.net folder.
This enable the "Play as guest" button, it solves some afterpatch problems.

Link from http://botdev.org/doku.php?id=tutorials

2) You did not mod ur AI (To try medium or hard AIs)
(Starcraft II beta installation folder)\mods\Liberty.SC2mod\Base.SC2Data
If you didn't make any backup when trying to install moded AIs, you won't be able to watch replays anymore.

If you DID replace the Base.SC2Data, reinstall the game... Or "The original backup can be found at :   http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/index.php?topic=582.0" (From MiCrOMaN1)

These are the 2 solutions I found that can solve replays problem, if you find any more solution, post them here or tell them to me so I can update this thread.

I can watch older replays no problem but the newer replays it says I dont have the map, is there a fix for this?

thaned, you probably need to update your map cache, if you get "Temp" error, this is the case, though you didn't mention the error.

Try updating the map cache: http://botdev.org/doku.php?id=tutorials
Under Missing map from cache Tab.

EDIT: Updating map cache from botdev won't work, I'll try to figure a way to make them work, though I'm not a dev, so I don't know if I'll find any way to play them.

Thanks!

Ya, same problems here with newer replays since the patch, don't know the problem exactly but I'm sure it's what everyone says, the Cache folder has something amiss. Just have to wait for a fix!

BlueBalloon

I have found a way to play ALL replays. There has been an updated cache uploaded on piratebay.

I have found a problem.
I just grabbed the UPDATED cache folder from that torrent and performed a test.

I followed the normal instructions:

Reinstall the game,
Let it update to patch 2,
Placed SWF folder in \StarCraft II Beta\Battle.net ,
Updated the new Cache in C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net with the new UPDATED cache folder from the .rar,
Grabbed some new replays and placed them in C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\My Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Replays

When I try to start a replay the loading screen appears for a few seconds then it kicks me to windows. That is under WINDOWS XP.

When I try this on my WINDOWS 7 machine, it works fine. I can see the latest replays etc, no sweat.

Observations:
The two operating systems have different folder structures when it comes to "My Documents" folders etc.

The only discrepancy that I found when following the tutorial is in the last step:
It asks me to go to C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME_HERE\Documents\StarCraft II Beta. In WINDOWS XP this is C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USERNAME\My Documents\StarCraft II Beta.
When there, the tutorial states that I should see the following: "two folders called GameLogs, Maps, and a text file called Variables". I don't see the Maps folder described here in WINDOWS XP.

Bottom line is that this works for my WINDOWS 7 machine but not my WINDOWS XP machine. Both can play the game vs AI fine. WINDOWS XP machine could never play replays. Even during the first release of the beta.

Could just be my machine -- figured I'd put my two cents in

Tanknology, for your XP system, first of all I'd like to know if you only placed your replays in
C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\My Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Replays

If so, place them in C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\My Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Replays\Recent

As for the SWF folder, this sometimes cause problems. So I suggest you delete it, and use the sc2loader in the torrent I linked before. The tutorials are included in the readme file. (Install a fresh copy of Sc2Beta, patch it, then just extract the content in driveloader-1.0 inside your installation folder, that should do the trick for AI games AND replays). Of course copy the cache too.

Hey I'm not having any trouble playing replays, but I was wondering if it's possilble to download more. Hopefully some with the pros.

Thanks.

Also having this problem. It loads to 40%, jumps back to 25%, and CTD. Also, when I restart a match, I cannot control the units anymore. Sometimes at 9/11 supply for terran, the adjutant asks for more supply depots/overlords/pylons.

Edit: fixed.

Removing the GameData folder which contains a modded xml fixed the problem. The appropriate Base.sc2data must be there. The replay you're watching with a certain AI, must have the appropriate modded Base.sc2data for that AI, for instance.
