There is the Razor1911 crack that lets you play both campaign and skirmish.

You are telling me, that in the year 2010, you cannot plan your LAN party somewhere with Internet access? Unless you live in a 3rd world country, I find this extremely hard to believe...
We organized lan parties at our university, and sometimes we were in one of the classrooms which doesn't have signal for the WiFi they're givin' us :) ) (a few of them have trouble)
Guess i exagerated with the 80% though. :P But still, I still want LAN play.

Non-cheating AI petition? :))

Yeah... Most of the time, we organize small LAN Parties. And 80% of the time we do not have an internet connection. That really means we will have no choice about using a LAN crack.

I think the current AI is quite ok, indeed (except for the archon/carrier in toss @ 5.1, havent tested 5.5 yet (tried, but game  crashed, should re-download probably?)
The main thing if to increase diversity, as you said you'd do. I don't know about War3 AI, but I edited some SC1 AI in my youth, hehe. And there were so many random jumps to other scripts, so many possibilities. That's what made SC1 AI interesting (though weak, most of them).
You're giving up a lot of your time for this, good luck!
p.s. c code? thought they had another ai scripting language created, as in SC1. Nice for versatility.

General Discussion / Re: Abilities of Mothership
March 02, 2010, 06:27:35 AM
Just now, the mothership isn't THAT strong, its abilities don't justify why you can only have one of them. When thinking about a MOTHERSHIP, you won't think of comparing it to an arbiter.
And as its damage got nerfed too... I don't think it's much stronger than a battlecruiser. (haven't tried though)

I'd say the gameplay looks great, but from the first moment I saw the graphics I hated them. I really really dislike those cartoonish graphics, they don't fit into the dark SF atmosphere SC1 used to create at all.
