Not enough Pylons / Re: Starcraft 2 crashes...

If it's anything like what I had, you could just delete the Battle.net folder in AppData > Local > Blizzard Entertainment folder. Booting up SC2 will create a new one. If you have anything custom in your Cache folder inside the Battle.net folder, you'll want to back that up.

If that doesn't solve the problem, I'd do a reinstall.

What video card do you have?

Whenever there is an "access" or "machine locked" problem, it's usually due to not having user credentials. Are you on an admin account?

Ok I found something. Using LazyLauncher will not allow me to watch my own replays, I don't know why. But I tried the Revision 35 launcher:

http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/sc2-tools/starcrack-launcher-with-color-and-race-selection/

and it works flawlessly for launching games AND replays. Plus, no RANDOM mode anymore. And Color selection! Anyone having trouble with replays, try it out. The only thing is the replays from your previous games that you used lazylaunch still won't work. You can only view the reps from maps launched by the rev 35 launcher.

Reinstall and update if you don't want to mess with anything. Easiest method. Did you mess with any MPQ's at all? There must be something in the Mods folder that is corrupt.

May I ask why you want/need to roll back? Is there something wrong with the new patches? I would like to know myself.

General Discussion / Re: LAN
March 08, 2010, 03:33:50 AM
Piracy is just an excuse to stop people from playing LAN. You will need a key to get ONLINE, pirating SC2 will never work, and it's never worked on games with content that is necessary to be ONLINE to access. For offline stuff, people don't even need to pirate the game to get offline content. It's just a money sucking implementation. Or rather, it's not an implementation at all; it's taking away from the originality of StarCraft.

The only reason LAN has been rejected is because it does affect the money making business, everyone who doesn't care about the ladder will just LAN and pass their copies to all their friends to LAN with them. Then, no one else will have to buy a copy. If you look at Koreans and SCBW, most of them don't even play on battle.net, especially the GOSU's, they all just LAN together to train and occasionally get on b.net to pwn scrubs. Blizzard would lose a lot if the same thing happened to SC2.

Okay, so if you have to authenticate, you have to be ONLINE first. That totally defeats the purpose of being able to play OFFLINE. I don't care about the SP campaign and saving, I just want to be able to play AI when I don't have internet connection at the moment.

Even if the GUEST account is available, will you be able to go in it without initially being ONLINE at all? It seems every time I start the SC2 BETA without a hacked launcher, if I'm not online it just gets stuck at the splash screen that appears in the center of the desktop saying SCII Beta. I hope retail doesn't require an ONLINE connection to just launch the game into the login screen. That would be fail.

Well you can't update without connecting. Unless you could find manual patches for download. Or you could just copy over an updated SC2 directory from your PC that does have connection. Even if you do that though, I don't know if when patching SC2, your registry is modified or not. It may or may not work.

I agree with you fade.fall, but I don't think blizzard really cares what you say in this thread.

If you're not even in the map, then there's something wrong with your Mods folder. Just Reinstall and patch up, it only takes a bit depending on your comp specs.

Download the AI, extract it, and find the file that says base.SC2Dat in it and just replace it into your Mods > Liberty.SC2Mod folder. Make sure you back up the original though just in case you might need it so you don't have to reinstall and repatch. Then use the launcher.

You can just cut the original one out, paste it somewhere else, and put the new one in. Voila.

You did something wrong. You WILL have to overwrite the original base.SC2Dat file. Make sure you save a back up copy of the original base.SC2Dat so you can watch replays from actual SC2 Beta players.

Check in your StarCraft II Beta directory, in Mods, then Liberty.SC2Mod. Don't tell me you have nothing in there.

AI Scripts / Re: Problem with AI Scripts

You need to download LazyLauncher 2.0 and use that to run a map file, which you also have to download.

Lazy Launcher 2.0

Find the maps yourself.  :D

Did you copy over the base.sc2dat file from the AI folder into your "Starcraft II Beta > Mods > Liberty.SC2Mod" folder?
