It'd be nice if there was variety early game too, so instead of always rushing, it would turtle and tech.  This would be a lot more surprising and challenging since the only way I can win is by massing tier 1.

The game is default to Normal.  There are five speeds total: Slower, Slow, Normal, Fast, Faster.
Ladder games will be played at Faster, so you need to hit the + key twice.

Actually, most people use RS and MU because they get rewards points every time someone downloads a file.  People make their livings uploading stuff to these sites.

If you are having issues then use LazyLauncher. 
It's not the end of the world if you can't pick your race. 

So I finally beat the AI on faster speed.  It was PvT, I just ignored gas and did a fast expo.  Trained around 10 Zealots that pwned the M&M army, then I went in the base and killed off any remaining Marines, destroyed some SCVs and a few buildings, then I left for the heck of it (still had 5 Zealots in his base, he had nothing).  After I amassed an army of Phoenixes, Archons, and Colossi, I went in, and the AI army was almost completely recovered (even saw a Battlecruiser). 
Bottom line: I'm amazed at how persistent the AI is, and how well it can recover from a lost battle.

Once again, congratulations on this AI, and I'm looking forward to future versions.   

So I sent an Observer to stalk the Terran AI's army, and it just randomly used Scanner Sweep on it and killed it.   

Definitely a problem.  I suggest using LazyLaunch instead of those GUI launchers.

So up until today I never noticed this, and then I changed it to Faster and it was crazy; I got my ass handed to me by the AI repeatedly.  Just letting you guys know if you don't already.  I see many people complaining that the AI is too easy, and this might be the reason.

On a side note, every time I change the speed the next game I play changes it back to normal.  Is there a way to fix this?  (It saves all my sound and graphics settings so I don't know why it's not saving the speed setting)

So yeah, I was wondering why I was winning so much, then I realized that I never changed the game speed from Normal to Faster.  Lost every game after that. 

Terran vs. Protoss isn't even funny.  You can harass with 3-4 Reapers all game, and the AI will be stuck with Zealots and Stalkers (though I did see 1 High Templar), while you mass Battlecruisers.

For some reason, it won't build a Photon Cannon at its main base's mineral field (but it does at expos).  Also, Stalkers won't blink, so my Reapers can just jump a cliff and be safe. 

Edit:  Although I believe that my constant harassing stopped him from researching Blink.  Maybe put essential upgrades as a higher priority than just building more units?
