It says Darkblizz, and I doubt that link you posted made it for Darkblizz, so thats all I need to know to say he did SOME editting. It is most definitely original and someone's work whether his or someone elses. Original doesn't need to mean every detail is handmade; templates/tutorials are helpful, but he made some shit on his own at least didn't he.
Was there criteria for how many hours you need to dedicate to making something for it to count?
The site probably doesn't give two shits about how he made it as long as he didnt just take someone elses submission and upload it.
Not to mention if they like the design, whos stopping them from using it?

And then get smacked by the long dick of anti-piracy laws.

Whoa, really? Mindcontrol a la SC2. Solid

Rumored to be toppin out at 10k people and I believe at last count is what at roughly 9k?
Its a rumor but, pretty valid. They officially said no open beta, and they really have all the people they need. They could still send some more out but don't count on another 20,000 people

Its not completely random but give nthe number of people in the pool to pick from, it is mostly random. They did/still pick some based off of spec's, make sure its playable on the max amount of builds.
Just look at the number of driver fails and shit people are getting, definitely going into it

I'd never buy an expansion if it only came with new missions, thats a waste of money and time
New units/abilities would get me to maybe buy it

In general you can modify your build order a bit. Build your first overlord sooner, so that it times out so you are never waiting on it.
Never build 2 overlords at the same time at the beginning, you have no need. If you only build one and pump out a gas, you'll get your gas up sooner and you don't need the extra ovie that early anyway, it can be placed a bit further down, still before you pump more lings.

"- From now, every larva gets roached for a while as fast as possible"
That tells me you don't have 2 hatcheries, a big no-no for zerg. If you don't expand, at least build it in your main. You should never have to be waiting on the larva to spawn, so always go for the 2nd hatch if not expo. But since this is vs AI, you should have no issues with that.

Little things seem useless but, theyll put you a good minute and half ahead of where you were before which in a 11 minute game is pretty substantial.

SC2 Tools / Re: LAN?

LOL@ the picture.

And what makes you think he's going to get banned? I've seen 100 posts identical to his, not banned?
On topic, I think theyre developping LAN, because the original idea of bnet emulation is just way too large; scope of the project is huge incomparison. Look around for the link to the codegen site, they seem to be the go-to guys in the field of LAN.

I know Blizz is known for pushing back release dates but, given the progress with the beta I think they're still on par to meet the July/August 2010 quote.

I think ravens are funny; yet to see someone use one in a game, people are trying to morph their BW builds into SC2 and ravens never really had much of a place there. Im sure their use will be more prominent soon enough

Keeping in mind that the majority of balance changes are geared towards Platinum players, and I only just got out of placement, into silver. So I havent seen some of the best of the best yet, but obs are dirt cheap and ridiculously useful. Robo builds are common, obs don't need Observatory like they did in BW so now its pretty much guaranteed you have access to it in all matchups.

That being said, they might just be testing it out to see a fault/strength of other units as well. See how it plays out vs other builds etc., I doubt they're just making changes hoping to land on the magic formula

That's how Broodwar worked. One or a couple new units per race, per expansion. As well as possibly just 1 new unit with modified abilities!

A big block of opinion.

In Broodwar terran were easily the hardest to micro effectively, since your main builds were hybrid or all out mech which meant a ridiculous amount of mine/siege/positiion micro. Now, bio builds = a+left click, a right click here and there. Mech builds are virtually nonexistant; when they do come into play, they take about as much micro as having 1 caster. Your only real micro comes with ghosts, but if getting a good EMP in by max 3 units is considered difficult then, i think youd have issues elsewhere too.
If your A-Clicking with protoss, then you're playing against AI and not online. For a toss to win against anyone better than garbage, you need to be using every units ability nearly all the time, warping more units in, climbing up/down cliffs effectively while managing the other units so they dont get merked. Storming/Guardian Shield/Force Field. Need I say more?

Zerg armies take less micro cause they have less casters, but its simple ( to me) to micro with. Surround, kill.
I say Zerg is the hardest cause its play style is infinitely different than toss and terran; As a new player, most people like to sample all the races so itd be easiest to learn terran/toss, who besides warpgates play identical in terms of macro. Chrono Boost is essentially a more micro intensive variation of reactor anyway.

Obs are nearly standard when you do need it though, but I agree its a bit much. Cloaked Banshee rushes should be pretty obvious if you're scouting enough though.
