The AI's are pretty easy to deal with at every game state, if you pay attention to your macro. I play protoss, so i can only speak for it.

  • They don't care about your units positions e.g. if the shooters are on a Cliff and snipes them while they try to go through your meat shields. I don't know how hard this is to program, but it looks for me that the retreat algorithm could use some tweaks.
  • They don't know how to adapt to mass HT's with Stalker and Zealot support, same applies to early Void Ray's.
  • I don't understand their expand decisions, since i got the feeling that they start to expand early if i expand early, but they don't expand if i build a huge force.

Trash Can / Re: Battle.net 2.0 EMU - Preview

The Beta could be over within 1-2months, so their work would nullify itself... I don't even know how much time this kind of work takes but they should keep it mind that they are working against the time (against other teams and the game release, I highly doubt that the Beta will last 6+ Months. Not because i wish the game being released as soon as possible, but it's realistic that the beta with the current status will last max 2-3 more months)

They play on the fastest possible speed... but anyway pressing twice "+" is still not equal to start with max game speed and it has nothing to do with laziness.

SC2 Tools / Re: StarCraft II Launcher
March 25, 2010, 08:26:02 AM
I like this Launcher at most. It uses triggerlibs and the designer made it pretty user friendly, so we (stupid ones) don't have to replace a lot of weird stuff, which we barely understand.

I don't know but i have the feeling that this AI is weaker as the 6.1. Maybe i'm simple too used to the structure of this AI, or it could be that the programmer thought about some improvements which are not working as intended.

Kinda don't understand it. People are providing you(people who simple loves to complain about everything [not to misunderstand with constructive criticism]) with stuff that makes your life better( providing you with joy). They don't get paid for it, of course they are acknowledged for their work and guess they are proud of it themselves (otherwise who would do this in his free time?), but in the end you have no rights to claim for something.

SC2 Tools / Re: Not all MapHacks need to be visual
March 20, 2010, 05:10:56 AM
I kinda doubt that this kind of Hacks will be very successful in SC 2, if it would give vision on the  mini-map, then we could talk about it, because in this one it would be pretty hard to find out, if he is hacking or just lucky. But in this one it is far more obvious as in the "original" map hacks.
Ofc there will be people who will use them and so what? Non-Game is hack free, but this stuff makes it's easier for you to blame people and claiming that they are hacking without any proof, just because you are pissed off that they will beat you.
It's up to blizzard to make the Ladder hack proof, however it could be done or is done and as people stated in the professional scene, this won't matter at all.

AI Scripts / Re: AI Difficulty Patch
March 20, 2010, 05:01:04 AM
There is no need for the old AI's because Blizzard stated itself that in the beta they included only "easy" one, so all official AI's are equal at the current state.

I win against Protoss as being the aggressor without wall-in, but i don't manage to win against Terran without wall in.

At least it looks for me that the Protoss Ai is the weakest one.
