Seriously, why even waste your time with these retarded contests and "scavenger hunts" when you can just pre-order the damn game and get a beta key?   ::)

General Discussion / Re: [WTS] Sc2 Beta Account

Yeah I have to agree with the other replies...maybe you'll get $10 for it, not much more.  All you have to do is pre-order the game online for $59, and you not only get a beta key, but you get the actual game when it comes out.

Actually, after watching it again, it seems like   maybe it WAS a game between two humans, only it was on the REAL Bnet.    They likely conned a beta key out of some poor unwitting people, and   with those accounts they're playing each other on bnet.  The friend icon   on the bottom right of the UI suggests it's likely on Bnet.

Either   way, there are many ways to prove it's a real emu...and I saw nothing   to prove it.  The biggest red flag remains to be the fact that he had to   move the cursor off screen after clicking "Launch Starcraft II".    Clicking that button on the supposed emu clearly did nothing.
If it's fake why would they bother doing this video, why don't just they   vanish? They already have the keys, and it's not like they're asking   for more.
But more important, who the f*** cares? When the time comes will see if   it's fake or not, until then I couldn't care less.

Umm, they HAVE vanished. lol Their site has been just a plain black screen for a long while now.  Also, have you heard from anyone on the supposed "code-gen" team lately?  No.  The cat is out of the bag...they're fake, and now they're running away with their tails between their legs like the idiots they are.

It seems it was all just a hoax.  Why do people spend their own valuable time to create elaborate hoaxes?  There are plenty of reasons, one of which is simply to get attention.  Ever heard of crop circles?  Some of them are HUGE.  Do you know how long it takes to make those?  The people go through all that trouble, and then try to pass it off as something that was done by UFOs.  It's all for attention... apparently some people never got hugged by their parents when they were young.  Pathetic.

And I hate it when people say "who cares".  Wtf?  We ALL care... I don't know about you, but I can't stand being lied to.  People who create stupid ass hoaxes like this just for attention deserve to be banished from the internet to forever wallow offline, by themselves, in their own stupidity.

what would be the point they are not asking for anything? why would they go through all this work and not ask for anything?

"All this work"?  Seriously?  All they have to do is pick up a fkn video camera and start recording.  They don't even need to edit the video for christ's sake...  :-\

I'm gonna have to +1 what Dan said... it's beginning to look as if this whole debacle has just been a scam to get Beta keys... plus if they went through all the trouble to get that shitty video out, they could very well have spent the same amount of energy on a video that actually proves the emu is real by doing exactly what I suggested.

Why try to defend them? Clearly, you are set in your ways. No amount of "proof" will ever convince you. Live in your own little delusional world.

I know what I know. And I know they are real. Period. I'm not hear to try and convince you of anything. If you want to live in ignorance, that's your perogative. Have a nice day.

Maybe we should rephrase what we're saying, and say that it certainly SEEMS like that video is fake...or at least, it's SEEMS like it's just a damn capture of two people playing on Bnet, not an emu.

I really hate when people say "No amount of proof will ever convince you."  It reminds me of religious debates, and it's just blatantly NOT true - there definitely IS a degree of proof that would convince everyone they're real.  Religious people say it all the time - well, in that case, proof enough for ANY atheist would be god coming down and having lunch with us.  Simple!  Ahh but I digress.... the same thing applies here though. It's very simple...

Just take a video camera, and record EVERYTHING, instead of capturing one little obscure section of a monitor, while the cursor moves off screen to click "other things".  Record one continuous shot (NO editing) of the entire process: the connection, how BOTH screens look from the view of the two people playing, etc, etc.  Is that really so difficult???

These guys are clearly not retarded, therefore they KNOW the above proof that I mentioned would have been more than sufficient, and everyone would have believed they're real, and the emu is real.  They didn't do that though, did they?  Well, until they do, there is no good reason to believe the emu even exists.

They're just playing on bnet guys...look at the FRIEND icon on the bottom right.

All they did was edit out the "vs" screen before the match.  This is a sad attempt at a fake, and this whole charade is just a plea for attention.   ::)

Are u calling the Code Gen Team's   Fake?..

His First Video Relase Shows The Other part of the program. Sending Packets. Ect. This Video as he promised in the 2nd video he would show gameplay....

If you go to there site when its up. you can see how far down the Tech Tree they are. They dont have all units/ Upgrades.  and they prob dont have chat working.

Between the First and 2nd video they relased. i would say that these people are not fake. if they were. they would not still be working on it and when there site went down the first time they would of not come back if all they wanted were keys...

Are you serious man? lol.  A retarded monkey could spot this as a fake.

Why didn't the players chat with each other?!!?
Why did he have to click something off screen after clicking "launch" on the supposed emulator?
Why not shoot a video with a hand held camera showing two computers beside each other, with two humans playing each other?

If this is what you consider proof, you would probably believe ANYTHING.

Guys, seriously???  I would laugh at a fkn chimp for believing this BS.

Edit:  After watching the vid again, it seems they simply started a game on the REAL Bnet... the friend icon on the bottom right seems to support that theory.  Also, they didn't exit the game at the end because then we would have seen they were logged into Bnet on the following screen... the fact that he clicked "Launch startcraft II", and it did absolutely nothing until his cursor went off the screen and clicked the REAL SC2 icon (as others have mentioned) remains to be a big red flag.

If they really wanted to prove it's an emu, they should have shot some video of two ppl sitting next to each other on 2 different PCs, and show the connection processes, etc with one continuous unedited shot.

Good job code-gen.  Epic fail.

First of all, congrats Vernam.. you now have the best launcher that's working 99%.  Especially now that the speed setting is working!  Great job.

I say "working 99%" because replays still don't work when launched from within your launcher.  I can view my replays if I play a game, quit to the main SC2 menu, then select the replay.  But if I try to start one directly from your tool, I get the infamous "unable to launch game" error.  I have done everything mentioned, in order  (deleted cache, updated to patch 8, ran original SC2.exe, downloaded updated cache, copied and skipped overwrite), yet it still doesn't work.

But I'm quite happy because everything on the launcher works perfectly except for that, and I can still watch my reps when launched from within the game... it's not even really a big deal because I rarely launch reps before playing anyway!  ;)

hi there; first time poster

i've searched the forum but couldn't find how to make cheating strategy ai to have 1.5x resource (or any other multiplier other than 2x) since 2x is near impossible for me. I use replaced Base.SC2Data with lazylaunch2. Thanks in advance.

You must not be playing PvT  :-\   the semi-cheating with only vision and NO resource cheat is hard as hell...

Has anyone been able to win PvT (you being Protoss)?  I think it's an almost impossible match-up because they almost immediately use ghosts with EMP and sniper shot before you have a chance to tech up to stronger units.  And IMO, stalkers are SO damn weak, even mixed in with a good amount of zealots, my army gets decimated early game.  wtf?

I usually manage to hold off the first few attacks, but for some reason, no matter how much I expand, I still seem to lose a lot of the time PvT.  Most games I lose with AT LEAST 3 bases and 10-12 gateways pumping units.   :-\

I'm confused here. What's the latest version?

There's v430, rev53, and v4.4. Can we get some type of organization with the versions?

The download site claims v430 is the latest.

This problem too.

Plus, it's not running the latest version. I've patched to version 0.8.0.14593, but the launcher doesn't run it at that. The factory still costs   200/100.

+1

Launcher v44 isn't running the latest version of SC2... the factory is 200 instead of 150.

The easiest way to tell is to start a game using Terran, and immediately click the build menu manually to build a factory.  You obv won't have enough minerals/gas to build it, but if you hover over the factory in the build GUI, it'll tell you how much it costs.

Update pls?!  ;D   I don't use all the other launchers because they're riddled with issues - this is the only one I've been using but I'd like to use it with the latest build!  Thanks...

USMC - have you abandoned this project?

hello,
ich have donwload sc2 and do everything like in this link: http://www.blizzardbeta.com/how-to-play-starcraft-2-beta-without-a-key/

but now i have the problem that the computer i can destroy to easy...what i can do?
i cant change any difficult...

mfg

Go download the semi-non-cheating version of Strategy AI v0.22 (it's in the AI scripts section of this forum).  I guarantee you'll have a problem beating that AI, especially against Terran.  It doesn't even "cheat", per se, it just has full map vision.

If it doesn't say Strategy AI v0.22 etc etc when you start a game, then you're not putting the Base file in the right place...
