General

       
  • Korea
  • Added support to display the game rating information on the   login screen.
Balance Changes

       
  • TERRAN

            
    • Thor

                 
      • Build time decreased from 75 seconds to 60 seconds.
    • Siege Tank

                 
      • Build time decreased from 50 seconds to 45 seconds.
    • Marauder

                 
      • Concussive Shells now require an upgrade.
    • Barracks Tech Lab

                 
      • Concussive Shells upgrade added.
      • Concussive Shells upgrade costs 100/100 and takes 80   seconds to complete.
  • PROTOSS

            
    • Void Ray

                 
      • Changed to only have 2 damage levels instead of 3. Still takes   the same amount of time to fully charge.
      • Base damage changed from 2 (+4 armored) to 5.
      • Powered-up damage changed from 8 (+16 armored) to 10 (+15   armored).
      • Armor value decreased from 1 to 0.
      • Cost increased from 200/150 to 250/150.
  • ZERG

            
    • Roach

                 
      • Burrowed move speed decreased from 2 to 1.4.
      • Armor value decreased from 2 to 1.
    • Hydralisk

                 
      • Life decreased from 90 to 80.

I don't play terran that much but I don't like the marauder nerf either. Unit's pretty gay now

Anyways, AFAIK it was a necessity, most players but the top platinum ones could get owned by a marauder rush.
People were complaining about it alot on teamliquid.

i agree, the maradar was wayyy too powerful in the beginning.  when playing the AI, i use maraders to micro

Yeah pretty much it's obviously overpowered when basically every terran build makes use of marauders, regardless of matchup. In fact in some TvP, you see good players going with all marauder. As HDStarcraft said, marauders basically beat all protoss ground. They're by far one of the most overpowered units in the game.

If you ask me, the marauder nerf is long overdue.

Anyone having an issue with the marauder upgrade not being in the tech lab? It is not there and the marauders do not have the slow (since they dont have that upgrade of course, but it is to show that I'm not using an old build of SC2) I'm not sure if it has to do with the launcher I'm using, or the update itself, but I just can't find the upgrade in the tech lab.

I'm playing most with terran and I agree with this nerf. Now it's equal with charge and speedling researches. I love the decreasing time for thors.

Looks like a decent + for terran players who like to go mech. Marauders took a hit but terran should be fine.

Roach armor decrease  ???
