SC2 Tools / Re: Cracked SC2.exe and MapEditor
July 09, 2010, 09:44:48 AM
i never had to do changes in the  - modules - triggers for the ai difficulty , only used the  - File - Preferences - Test Document  and in   - Map - Player Properties  i set the  control and AI to computer . Maybe because i used a original map or so? For team up the computer i had to go into the triggers because the team placement in   - Map - Player Properties  didn't work for me.

--  A little tutorial  8)   --

    - First of all,

SC2Editor.exe goes into the Support folder and the SC2.exe goes into   Versions\Base15976. Don't forget to make a backup of both files so you   can play once the servers are up.

When you start the SC2Editor   and the nag screen occurs which asks you to login, press no then you can   use it without any problems.

    - now go to your folder were the maps are,

Now take a map you prefer( i used a original blizzard map) and make a   copy of it, then rename 1 of them to .SC2Map.

    - Example : Steppes of war.s2ma  to  Steppes of war.SC2Map

    - Now go to your StarCraft II Beta folder located in,

C: - users - user name - My Documents - StarCraft II Beta - Map  (   Vista/Win 7 ) and place the renamed map file in this folder.

      --  Editor  --

Go back to the Editor itself and click on the open button located on   upper toolbar. Now you get a tab called open document, in here you click   on local files, click refresh, and you should see your renamed map in   the list, now you can open the file

After loading the map you go to   - File - Preferences - Test Document   -  and here you can change the ai difficulty and game speed.

Now go to  - Map - Player Properties -  here you can change things like   race/ start location / players.

After set user and computer settings you go to   - File - Test Document   -  or hit the SC icon on upper toolbar.

Now the game is loading and going past the login.............. get ready   for some Comp Stomp  :fight:

Hm, i can't get the game running. Is this only 4 the editor?
Client always says: BNet is down 4 maintenance. No Chance to bypass this.

bg

You can bypass this with the editor , good luck and GG ;)

The only thing i cannot figure out a.t.m. is how to set teams, maybe someone here knows the trick??

@ the_ace - I have also the EU(GB) client and it works fine.

Hi, it writes me "unable to open map", could you upload a map with which was game played?

Hello from Czech Republic (for those who dont know where it is, its in the middle of europe, not next to China) (o:

Do exactly what Maximus posted and you can watch the replays. No need to download anything just put the replay cache in the right folder in you Starcraft 2 beta folder.

QuoteSorry, i have problems with viewing replays, it writes me "unable to open map"

Did you play vs Protoss? which units you have used, how long did you play?

Make sure you have this: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CYDXPBEI

You have to enable the viewing of Hidden files, and copy the folder cache as follow:

If Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache

If Vista/Windows7
C:\Users\Your_Username\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache

Any replay goes to: Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Replays\Multiplayer
                                                                             \Recent

Try that and tell me.

Greets

Edit:

feedback of Protoss AI.  Z vs P

- They wait to long 8) for an attack on my base, so i had enough time to build a proper
attack force.(let them attack more frequently and earlier in the game)

- They were following to easily back to my main base only to get smashed by my units
and defense.(let them return to base to gather more troops and then counter attack)

Other info :

- My total play time was 25 minz(after 18 minz i had destroyed the main base). My units
were mostly hydras with some zerglings and corruptors with overlords ofcourse ;) .

- It's a good AI though, when i was attacking it's main base it was building void rays
indicating it was now going for air.

- It has a good variation of units which is a good thing.

- It's a good AI for a non-cheating one.

suggestion : Maybe also a cheating version next time  ;D

Looking forward to your next release,

Greetzz

many thx to the dev team for all the hard work ;D .

Some feedback, watching a terran AI(cheating) replay.

- terran has so many minerals/gas and is not using it at all to build units/buildings.

- it makes just 2 factories and is using 1 of them, the other he never uses to build units.

- it never builds bunkers for proper defense.

- all the units including flying will always come at/through your main entrance. Why not
split up land/air units and let air units attack a different point of your base. Or send 2
groups, 1st land to main entrance few seconds later flying attacks different point of your
  base.

The attacks of AI units will count for the non cheating version and for all races(played against them).

hope it helps for future improvements.

THX !  ;D for all the hard work in making this AI better and better up to this new 6.1.
There is more variation in what the AI does and therefor better and more fun.

Q : Is it possible to make the cheating AI a little more difficult (more cheating  :) ), because other cheats i played were much more of a challenge.

Keep up the good work!

THX !  ;D for all the hard work in making this tool.

THX ! for this nice little tool  ;D . I did try a 1(me)vs2(AI) and it worked fine. And with the new Starcrack 6.1(no cheat) it was a good challenge  :-\ .

PS: For those who wants to download this nice little tool, make a new folder in the Starcraft 2 beta folder with copies of the maps you have, and use this folder only for this tool to load the maps. That way if you wanna use another launcher the files wil not be change.

And to all GL HF  ;)
