That's peculiar, mine works fine. I have the same settings as T1nd3r. I think i forgot to put my original Base.SC2Data before patching still it works fine for me. Best course of action would be to reinstall it.

Uhm guys, here's a guide to watch your replays against A.I.

http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/not-enough-pylons/how-to-view-your-own-replays-(with-full-instructions-on-how-to-install-the-game)/

I followed the instructions and it worked like a charm.  :)
Oh yeah, I'll be trying out your A.I. once it's done downloading. My downloads are getting slower by the minute.  >:(   Probably need to replace my service provider.

Edit: Sorry posted this in the wrong topic, the consequence of having too many tabs.  :D

Come on guys, be thankful that we get everything here for free. Just be patient, you can't expect them work any faster, they still have their lives to live, they simply can't invest all their time in this project they're doing out of their own good will. So, just relax and be patient. They're doing fantastic work and to think they're doing this for free.

I have to say, the A.I. keeps improving but you can't expect too much from a machine. If you ever go into coding, you'll realize that programming a computer to be human-like is difficult, you'll need tons and tons of lines of code. You'll have to tell them what to do for each possibility they'll encounter and it's not easy to do that out of all the countless strategies a person can manage to think of. I'm sure the developers are doing the best they can with the limited resources they have. I read a while ago that blizzard haven't release a proper code for the A.I. and that they have to implement their own, or something like that. So just be patient and be content with what's available.  :)

Try deleting your Battle.net folder in AppData > Local > Blizzard Entertainment. Restart the beta and it will create a new Battle.net folder there. Make sure you back up your Cache though.

I'll try this, if it ever happens again. But perhaps, as soon as i get some cash, i might be buying a backup power supply.  :)

Resorted to reinstalling the game.

For me, it happens every time a blackout occurs while i'm running Starcraft 2. Other than that the game works perfectly fine if i just manage to exit the game before a blackout occurs.

General Discussion / Re: Dealing With Carriers
March 10, 2010, 10:57:47 AM
There is a neat feature in Starcraft 2 which i just found out recently. The hotkey is F12, there it shows the tech tree and also the units for each race, furthermore, when viewing a specific unit, you can see their corresponding strengths and weaknesses, which unit are they strong against, and which unit they are weak against.

Anyway, it says their that carriers are weak against void rays if you're talking about protoss but i still have to test it out myself.

Edit: Posted late, Gamewiz basically stated it right.  :)

Anybody experiencing this? Currently in my area, we are experiencing daily blackouts. The blackout would often occur while I am watching replays of a game. When the electricity eventually comes back, I would start Starcraft 2 normally; it would then be stuck about 4/5 of the way through loading, it will not load and crashes to my desktop without any error message of sorts.  ???  This would always happen after a blackout and I start Starcraft 2.

Previously, I would reinstall Starcraft 2, wait for it to update to the latest version, put in the maps, the launcher, the a.i. and all. Of course after all that it would work flawlessly. But right now I am growing tired of going through that process after each and every blackout, it takes a really long time to update and right now i can't really stand to wait as i'm really eager to play and try something out. Does anybody have an idea on how i could get it running without having to go through all the trouble of reinstalling it?

I had to type this again.  >:(  Something went wrong when i pressed reply.

But anyway, great job on the launcher. I really love it for the reason that it allows you to choose your folders for your maps and ai. The other launchers coded it so that you had to have your maps in the main folder. I want to keep mine in the cache folder so i would be able to view replays afterwards. And now with the recent update, it simply has become perfect for me.  :)

I just remembered SC1 and perhaps the final improvement would be to add the option to go melee or free for all.

Another would probably be the possibility of going 2vs2 with the ai as your ally but if i remember correctly, even in SC1 it wasn't possible to do it, you needed to have a human companion to go 2vs2.

Anyway, great job, keep up the good work. :)

So i just played 2 games with the current 6.1 version and got pawned on both occasions. ???  Now perhaps now i really need to improve because i could easily defeat the previous versions 1v1.  :)  Great job!
One problem though, it happened in both my games, the scouting probe/scv got stuck doing a weird dance in my base until i attacked it. My guess is that when i built my gateway it blocked the path they clicked on so since it couldn't get their it seemed like a weird dance, attacking them would activate their "defense code" which would tell them to run away. Other than that it worked fine. Great Job, have yet to try this on maps with backdoor possibilities so i can't comment on that yet. Keep up the good work. Thanks for bringing SC2 to the masses.  :)

Thank You! Will test it out after after i finish downloading the beta launcher. Keep up the good work! I'll test it against 1 first, i've been playing against 3 ai using your v6 and have only won once. I'm having a hard time beating 3 ai's; i could manage to defeat 2 but the 3rd would then continually annihilate me  :( . *sigh* Still I'm having fun playing with your ai, keep up the good job.  :)

Waiting, for the color and race selector. With those added this would be a great GUI, being able to choose which folder to search for your maps and ai was what drew me to use this GUI. Keep up the good work.  :)

Yes! Finally registered, so first of all, i would like to thank you for continuing to create great a.i.'s. Each version is an improvement. Just finished playing a game against 3 a.i.'s and got smashed by their carrier build. My first defeat and my first time playing against 3 a.i. Playing against 1 a.i. was getting too easy so tried 3 and got pawned! Love your a.i. and continue making more versions. Thanks!
