Title: d3 mooext tutorial please !
Post by: Dracshadow on October 02, 2011, 05:39:46 AM
Hey guys

The forum keeps getting spammed with questions as to which d3 loader to use or they need help with setting up etc ....

regarding mooext........
It seems to be the easiest one to use out of the lot but i keep getting error 3003 when trying to login with valid username and pass . i havent changed anything, just ran the emu and then the game.

there are just so many tutorials and compiling going on! i dont know where to start!

can we please have a tutorial regarding the mooext emu ?
Should i update the mooext first and then try again ?
the local button and everything is faded, can only connect to remote! what should i do ?

im at work now and cant test  :'(

1) Download MooExt_Stable_v9 at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6E2M4PWX (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6E2M4PWX)

2) Run MooExt.exe

3) In the D3 Launcher tab setup the D3 game path: by clicking on "..." (to your diabloe III.exe)

4) Click on Mooege updates tab and click manual check or F5

5) Once update is done click play (local)

6) It will automatically run diablo 3 and you are in the game.

7) make up any account and enjoy

Anyone who is getting stuck at retrieving hero list should change remote host to 127.0.0.1 and run the server, then play remote.  It fixed it for me.

I am still stuck at hero list as well.  I did try changing remote to a local address of 127.0.0.1 and that didnt work either.  Been playing around with it all day and cant get past the retrieving hero list.

Use monk's attacks (every character has those attacks available).
To spawn monsters use the Flash Wave spell, the other (Fists of thunder) is what you use to kill them.

noob question, probably an easy answer.

I had d3 and mooext emu updated but i couldn't pass login screen the login button is faded out, so now im reinstalling d3 and a fresh copy of mooext just incase some files were messed up but i doubt that, does anyone know what the issue is ? thx

might be as simple as changing the server numbers around cause the default don't work for me...log in still faded

probably an easy answer.
Did you fill the gaps? For example:

Account:      a@a
Password:     a

If it works with this, you can extreme facepalm already.

yes i filled the gaps with random acct names and the password with a password, it should work almost with any info entered. it's probably an IP address is off because im not exactly sure which ip i should change, since default wont let me login, on top of that im not exactly sure which ones i should change.

it will still be a facepalm moment for me atleast no matter what the issue is.

If you use Mooext set the IPs to the default values and that's all, remote server IP doesn't matter when running local server.
If you compile the C# sources then set a shortcut and redirect to <localhost:1345>. Don't redirect to anything like <127.0.0.1:1345> because setting the ip to "localhost" already sends and receives from the emulator.

I left everything as default and disabled my firewalls still the login screen was faded out, I reinstalled and updated then tried again, no go. i'll spend some more time with it later tonight but thx for replying.

does it matter where i dowload the client from at all ? updated/repaied .net 4 also i'll post 2mrw on results.

Not really, just make sure that the paths are right and there shouldn't be any problems, and firewall has nothing to do really, if it's bocking the program then add it as exception and it's over, but shouldn't be the case.

Anyway, are you using MooExt?

yes im using mooext, and with that all I would have to do is have the d3 client and mooext, of course updated and I just use the default paths in win 7 pretty simple stuff since the mooext launcher came out, kind of odd i can't even pass login though also.

Im assuming assuming that it won't let me log in at all because it doesn't detect local host server or any server for that matter.

I repaired/updated to the latest .net framework and im going to update and or change firewalls but even when firewall is disabled I had no luck.

i've tried the suggestions in mooext help as far as changing ip's of hosts n what not, and no go.

If you get the 3003 error for some reason, then get SQLite, latest version ofc, and try again.

Good luck on your oddysee xd.

I am having the same exact issue.. Log in tab is grayed out and cannot click even with the Account and Pass info entered.. Any help as to why this would be happening is appreciated.. MooExt is being used in this case..

When I launch the server on MooExt I get the line...

[Error] [MPQPatchChain]: Can not find base-mpq file: CoreData.mpq for patch chain: Data.

Why am I getting this line? Also whenever I make my character in the character selection screen and start the game I get stuck at the loading screen. I don't know if it's because of this error line in the server or something else, but I need help. I follow the directions entirely and it's turning out the same.
