Unable to register nickserv in mIRC

I'm unable to chat on the #sc2c channel because I need to identify to a registered nick to speak in that channel. I've tried to get them to send me the password, but it never sends.

What can I do?

I've had the same problem. Registered and asked for a confirmation number to register my nick, but it never came. Oh well...
