Before you start it wold be preferable to have a clean and updated installation of Starcraft II.
Getting started
Needed files :
- Login bypass, maps, cache (use the new cache), replays : http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5376948 (http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5376948)
- New cache : http://www.sc2win.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=50 (http://www.sc2win.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=50)
- Lazy launcher V.2 : http://www.mediafire.com/?mon3ntwhit2 (http://www.mediafire.com/?mon3ntwhit2)
- AI Maps : http://www.multiupload.com/7YY40566LH (http://www.multiupload.com/7YY40566LH)
- AI Maps cache : http://www.mediafire.com/?3inmimlom4h (http://www.mediafire.com/?3inmimlom4h)
- AI 6.1 : http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/ai-scripts/starcrack-ai-official-thread/ (http://www.mediafire.com/?tmgh2zyjion)
- More maps (topic gets updated) : http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/ai-scripts/starcraft-2-beta-offline-ai-maps/msg4109/#msg4109 (http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/ai-scripts/starcraft-2-beta-offline-ai-maps/msg4109/#msg4109)
- Multiple Launcher GUIs installer for Lazylaunch 2.0 (If you are lazy) : http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/sc2-tools/multiple-launcher-guis-installer-for-lazylaunch-2-0/ (http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/sc2-tools/multiple-launcher-guis-installer-for-lazylaunch-2-0/)
Bypassing the login : First of all you will it need to bypass the login if you want to watch replays. To do so you need to put the "SWF" folder you got from the torrent here "C:\Program Files\StarCraft II Beta\Battle.net".
Example : http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/9066/imagexj.jpg (http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/9066/imagexj.jpg)
Now you sucessfuly bypassed the login.
Installing the maps + AI maps
First of all, let's put the "Maps" folder you downloaded from the torrent here "C:\Users\your_username\Documents\StarCraft II Beta".
You will it also put the AI maps there.
Cache
The "Cache" needed for replays goes here "C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net".
The "AppData" and "Local" folders are hidden. To make them visible you need to :
1. Open a random folder
2. Push "ALT"
3. Select the "Tools" tab.
4. Select the "Visualizations" tab.
5. Find "folders and hidden files" and check "show hiden folders and files"
Replays
From the torrent you surely downloaded also a "Replay" folder. We have to put that here "C:\Users\your_username\Documents\StarCraft II Beta". Now go watch some replays!
Installing the AI 6.1
Inside the zip, rar whatever you downloaded inside it there will it be a file named "Base.SC2Data". Understood what to do right? the file goes here :
"C:\Program Files\StarCraft II Beta\Mods\Liberty.SC2Mod".
Backup your original "Base.SC2Data" first.
Playing
If you want to play you will it need the Lazy launcher. Open your lazy launcher and now you will it have to navigate into your "Maps" folder "C:\Users\your_username\Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Maps". Now choose the map you want to play in and there you are. If you installed the AI and want to play VS him play into the AI maps, example "(4) - Metalopolis.s2ma" etc. The ones with the ( ) are with the AI.
Some Antivirus might releave it as a virus. Don't worry is safe. Just disable your AV in order to play.
Hope the guide is complete and clear. Have fun!
PS : Some things might be modified.

Awesome! Going to test it right now.
EDIT : I tought we wold be able to play, i don't understand how to use it.
I think you may have added in a few steps,
This came Directly from the Torrent -
THIS WAS CREATED IN WINDOWS 7. I DON'T KNOW IF SOME OF THE LOCATIONS ARE DIFFRENT IN OTHER
OPERATING SYETEMS, BUT USE THIS TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY.
I'm going to go through where to put each of these folders thay you've downloaded. By now
I assume you've at least installed the Beta.
How to Bypass the Battle.net Login:
Open Windows Explorer and go to the following location:
C:\Program Files\StarCraft II Beta\Battle.net
Once you're there, paste the folder that you downloaded called SWF into the folder you
went to in Windows Explorer. Once you paste the folder, you're done Bypassing the
Battle.net login!
The Cache (used to watch replays):
Open Windows Explorer and go to the following location:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME_HERE\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net
You should now see a folder called Cache and a file called index.
Take the Cache file you downloaded and paste it into the Battle.net folder that you
just went to in Windows Explorer. If it asks you to replace certain things, go ahead and do
so.When it finishes copying, you're done with the Cache!
The Replays (the actual replays you're going to watch):
After putting the Cache where it needed to go, you're going to want to watch some replays,
right? First, go to this location in Windows Explorer:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME_HERE\Documents\StarCraft II Beta
When you look here you should see two folders called GameLogs, Maps, and a text file called
Variables. Paste the folder called Replays that you downloaded into this folder that you
navigated to and you're done with the Replays!
Now you're all done! Go load up SC2, watch some replays, and mess with your graphics
settings so everything runs smoothly when we're finally able to play some skirmishes.
- But on the other hand I followed these directions to the dot, but on Xp and mine doesn't work.
I receive the error "**temp** one or more of these files which are needed to play this game are not available locally. They must be downloaded first."
I'm about to read the hell out of this in hopes that it is my holy grail, http://botdev.org/doku.php?id=tutorials (http://botdev.org/doku.php?id=tutorials)
I have the same problem. I can see the old replays but the new ones .(the one using a map that i dont have) I CANT :((
"I receive the error "**temp** one or more of these files which are needed to play this game are not available locally. They must be downloaded first"
This error is due to the fact that the map files you're using do not contain all the maps available in the beta. So while some replays work, any that were played on a map you don't have will give you the error. If you get this error for every replay it means that you haven't copied the files into your cache folder correctly.
WEWT WEWT!!! PROBLEM RESOLVED!!!
I had accidently Moved the Cache file to
c:\documents and settings\Twe3k\Application data\Blizzard entertainment\battle.net
It needed to go to
c:\documents and settings\Twe3k\Local settings\Application data\Blizzard entertainment\battle.net
Now everything works great for me.
I can't get this work... It says I am missing files...
I guess I have something wrong with my "maps" folder...
Looking like this --> http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/7277/78101128.png (http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/7277/78101128.png)
It's not the maps, it's the cache that you're missing.
I have that cache file in C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME_HERE\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net
You mean something else?
Hum strange
Your Maps folder seems to be good, show us your Cache folder
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/5421/38570003.png (http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/5421/38570003.png)
Oh, i see : Your Cache folder don't go here, it is the Cache folder it self, you must put all the folders in the Cache folder, into the Cache folder.
Sorry for my bad english i'm not english :s I hope you understand what i mean :)
Err... Sorry didn't really get it ^^. Can you try explain it some other way?
Sorry ^^'
Hope you understand with it : http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/5319/explaine.png (http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/5319/explaine.png)
Woah thanks a lot!!!!! Works :DD.

Your cache is incomplete, that's why. Use the one you get from this torrent or you might still get some errors with the replays.
PS : Sorry for the double posting.
I have WinXP:
When the loadingscreen for the replay come, the progress bar works and then SC2 shut down.
I found out that i don't have a "Map"-folder near GameLogs, Replays and Variable.txt, but i don't know if this is the problem.
Klick on Replay >> Progress Bar works a few seconds >> SC2 closed. :( :( :(

Download this http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz/cpuz_153_setup.exe (http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz/cpuz_153_setup.exe) and run it.
Once you do It'll give you every detail of your processor. Check if it says SSE2 (I'm not sure but it should be near SSE 3DNow and MMX) Keep in mind that SSE it's not the same as SSE2!
(If you don't have it, then that's the problem and you won't be able to play SC in any way or form. It happened to me as well, and three guys too) ;~;
I set everything up, transfered catche, maps, swf etc. in the right places, I open up starcraft and I can't see any replays in there (got lots of them). Anyone know's what might be wrong?
P.s. I'm using Windows 7
Edit: Ok I solved it ^^. I've had my replays folder in the wrong place. Watching replay now, thank you guys, you're awsome <3

Thx, you are right, i have a AMD XP 2800+ and only SSE. So i can't upgrade a CPU (SSE2) on a A-Sockel Mainboard? I need a new Mainboard and CPU?
Can someone post the cache and maps in a direct link?
Torrents dont work well for me.
And by the way:
Heres a direct download for the sc2 engb client.

I think so, for instance Athlon 64s (They have SSE2) use socket-754

wow, really? thank you very much for all your work... im pretty sure there are so many people that wanna play the beta before to buy the origina copy when it will be available.
just a question : is there any thread/forum about this "private" server developing?
thank you again!

Try search around a bit, this isn't the only section. But i think there aren't.
Not sure where you're getting that 2weak thinks they are close to a private server... according to the thread on TPB and the dev chat here (http://00.dy.fi/sc2c.php?p=1) (fffan_99, that link is for you) they are still working on making the AI playable and that the private servers are still a ways off.
I was wondering, the maps files that are included in the download (Kulas Ravine, Steppes of War..etc) are they playable maps, or are they just needed for the replays? Because I used MPQ extractor to extract the maps files, and I think I'm getting somewhere with that :o

Windows 7 is weird with this. Mine did the same thing, and it wasn't hidden folders. The easiest way to find the appdata folder in all Windows operating systems is to go to either start-> run, or search... and type in %appdata%
This should bring you to your appdata/roaming folder, and then you can backtrack one to access appdata/local.
I hope this helps.

Hey, I'm on XP as well. Actually the reason you won't find it is because on XP it's
C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net

Updated
Hi.... i have tried everything to wacth the replays...... i can bipass the login...... and see the replays but i always get the TEMP error.
I have downloaded at least 5 cache files from differents server, but i cant make it work........
I have win XP in portuguese, because i am from brasil......... and dont have the C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net
i made it, but i still get the error, i put the cache in 8 different places...... but none of them work..... if someone has a XP in a different language, please tell me if the folder are in your language.... or in english...anything will help
Thanks in advance......will be very nice too at least see the replays.....
...\USER_NAME\... = your username
Try to manually locate Cache target location with corresponding portuguese words and, before that, you'll need to change settings for hidden and system folders:
1. In My Computer choose Tools -> Folder Options
2. Select View tab
3. On Hidden files and folders chose Show hidden files and folders
4. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
5. OK
i made a rar package with all that i collected
hope it works:
http://www.mediafire.com/?4mqg2tyymcx (http://www.mediafire.com/?4mqg2tyymcx)
Just made this account to tell you guys that this doesnt work anymore.
for some reason earlier, i was watching replays, after picking the next replay, i got the dreaded Temp Error.
now, all of the replays wont work anymore.
even if i do these steps which worked flawlessly at first

Go here and dl this map:
http://www.nibbits.com/sc2/maps/ (http://www.nibbits.com/sc2/maps/)
now go to ur sc2 beta cache folder - for me its:
C:UsersMaciejAppDataLocalBlizzard EntertainmentBattle.netCache
now check out ur map name. for this one its:
96669b00b9a1f85f1a228c8a04752aeca9af28706a47c3f4b7e9aa45c1ab58c6 (1).s2ma
ur consider are 4 first signs: 9666
In mentioned before Cache folder create folder and name it with 1st two: 96
Inside this one create another and name it next two: 66
Copy map file inside this folder. Repley will be working just fine now.
but now it doesnt work .. all of it ..
What's changed? the beta is the same
idk .. for some reason, i cant watch the replays that i already watched earlier .. will try to reinstall and redo the process again ..
I noticed at my college it would hang trying to launch while i was connected to the internet. Pretty much all traffic that is not http is blocked here. So does it try to contact blizzard at launch?
aimaimaim: what kind of error your getting? TEMP->cache file missing...
mithhunter55: have you copied the authrization bypass to the battle.net folder
you can dl it from my signature...
yes .. that same error ..
ive done the YimYimYimi one and others including yours .. not working .. dont know why but will reinstall later and redo the process ..

Hi
aimaimaim, I don´t know if i understood you, but the problem is that you reinstalled SC2 and you can watch replays for now?...ok, many people had the same problem....first of all, if you created the path for the cache files, delete it, that path MUST be created by Battle net process in logging...so go to the login screen and log into bnet...it will say you that you cannot log ing, ok, now the path is created...go there and copy paste the cache folder, i´ve do the same process a lot of times and it works...try...if not, sorry dude. Hope it works for you
i just finished uninstalling 2 hours ago and it worked flawlessly again
all it needed was a quick reinstall thanks for the files!
@Steeled209
dont know about logging in before using the necessary for the bypass+map+replay .. thanks for replying though :D
Hehehe, perfect! reinstalling FTW! :D
For anyone wanting simple, clear directions on to watch replays in-game, i compiled a list in an easy to read format here: http://www.fishmemory.net/list.php?lid=2897 (http://www.fishmemory.net/list.php?lid=2897)
fractalbit: very good but now we use the battle.net.gfx file in the battle.net folder instead of the swf/authentication...you can get it from my sig.
but overall very straight to the point.
the wiki has it too in tutorials: http://botdev.org/doku.php?id=tutorials (http://botdev.org/doku.php?id=tutorials)

aimaimaim: what kind of error your getting? TEMP->cache file missing...
mithhunter55: have you copied the authrization bypass to the battle.net folder
you can dl it from my signature...
I have downloaded and placed every thing linked in the wiki. I could have been cuased by other factors aswell considering it is a laptop that was running on battery. I just thought it was odd, launchs fine at home.
guys sc2 is now patching .. ive read earlier that its down and now its executing a patch :'(
what to do? should i go with the patch? hmmm
EDIT: nah its just false alarm .. you will still be able to watch the previous replays even if you patch .. and you still dont need beta key to be on the interface :D
Lol the crack that this site makes makes the entire Starcraft 2 offline - That's why you cam bypass login screen :P So nothing to worry about even if they do patch it!! :D

guys these replays when i play them .. the game crash to desktop .. whats your take on this?
2nd Edit:
you just need to download na replace the maps on the cache with the new ones on http://www.nibbits.com/sc2/ (http://www.nibbits.com/sc2/)
@ elisherer
- i used your cache and changed some stuff because some of the maps doesnt work, after a quick load, it crashes the game, with the loading not complete. but some of the replays that were played on other specific maps like Blistering Sands and Meatropolis, they were working. the ones that crashes were Lost Temple, Kulas Ravine etc. .. thank you again for your help :D
erm after i patched my sc2 i cant watch replays anymore.. they said this rep cant be watch by this version would u like to log out and re enter with previous version..
Eli i got your chace and replays, put them in right place - but I still get the beta to crash when i try to watch old reply on Kulas Ravine... worked fine for metropolis map but Kulas doesnt seem to work... hmm???
I'm also having problems with replays after the patch.
Certain replays seem to crash after loading. Other replays I can watch, and still some other replays I can watch for about 8-10 minutes before crashing to desktop. I have tried replacing all my maps from nibbits and still some replays crash.

the replay has a corresponding map .. now try to download the map and follow the instruction these instruction
http://botdev.org/doku.php?id=tutorials#missing_maps_from_cache (http://botdev.org/doku.php?id=tutorials#missing_maps_from_cache)
.. it may not be that temp error but it will still fix it .. if you already have that map in the cache, remove it first and paste the same map you've downloaded .. it would work,
P.S. there are still new maps that needs to be downloaded directly from blizzard because the new patch i think wont play replays and give us temp error with the old maps in the old cache ..
Guide updated! now is better.
*Bump*
You should update the guide with that link http://www.sc2win.com/starcraft-2-downloads/starcraft-2-cache-files-update/ (http://www.sc2win.com/starcraft-2-downloads/starcraft-2-cache-files-update/) 'cause the cache files included in the first torrent are outdated.
(or maybe upload it somewhere else)

well I did all the steps, all works greate, when I go with Lazylauncher to watch replays i get error : Unable to open map. how to solve this?
as in installed everything played against AI, took LTv2.0 to watch replays, went to the recent folder of replays and - it loads and then I get that error. Further more so - the menu button was then gone and I could not exit Sc2 by normal means (esc or f10), had to tab out and right click close it.

1. If you talk about replays with AI you need to do something in plus, a thing that I don't know (is something about making some folders in the cache, i will it search for that thread).
2. You can also push ALT+F4, works better.

Seems like it, cause when I tried just normal replay (the ones that come with the chace, map and replay torrent) it loaded, but I got an error sayins Replay Desync with option to Leave the game
It had the SCv5.1 line of :prepare to get terrible terrible damage bla bla thingy also there.... so....
I made the cache for these maps, you might be able to views replays on them now.

*Edit I think you have to launch the maps from that folder, but I'm not positive.

Solution here:
http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/not-enough-pylons/how-to-view-your-own-replays-(with-full-instructions-on-how-to-install-the-game)/45/ (http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/not-enough-pylons/how-to-view-your-own-replays-(with-full-instructions-on-how-to-install-the-game)/45/)
Put your maps into the caches download folder, and it seems to be much easier to work with. Also it is really annoying having /00/12/ kind of folders. The Downloads one makes more sense. I am doing some more tests with it atm, but I also made some special maps, so we can see each others replays, just like we might do with your mappack there. Except we wont need special AI cache. Maybe even no cache at all, but at least I am sure that the official cache would be enough.
Some maps I made: (Okay I edited them, the real makes was Blizzard, and the ones making them useful for us have credits there)...:
http://dionysus.dk/SC2/Maps%20with%20Starcrack%20V6%20AI/ (http://dionysus.dk/SC2/Maps%20with%20Starcrack%20V6%20AI/)
They have Starcrack AI v6 normal built into them. The upside is changing AI wont be a problem to come when trying to watch old replays. The downside is each AI will need its own map pack, which is about 18 mb each. So we might end up needing to make subfolders in the cache/download folder at some point to make things easier. Or just have lots and lots of AI maps there :)
Karma for you good sir.
By-Passing Battle.net does work with the latest patch? I haven't been able to do it by following the steps described here.
I followed all of the instructions here as closely as I could with a windows xp, but every time I use the lazylauncher 2.0 the map loads, but it's just me and no enemies. It causes me to win as soon as I load the map. Did I do something wrong? I tried downloading the gui but I always get an error that says the application generated an exception that could not be handled. I get that for a lot of different applications, though. I believe my .net framework isn't being recognized by my computer since I reinstalled it several times, but that's another problem. Is there something I can do to bring in the ai to the game?
