Would be pretty cool as long as someone doesent have like 1 gig of ram trying to play it lagging us down
On a confirmed max max size of 256x256?
The existing 14 player map is already total chaos...
I don't think Kulas Ravine is anywhere near 256, I think it's 128.
You guys remember how bloody huge the 256 maps were in SC 1?

I'm the type of guy that would enjoy a 1024x1024 map with 16 players, and a 1000 food limit ;p

I don't think a player's system specs would lag you down, only his connection.
4v4 is enough for me. 5v5 would already stretching it. Games would be purposeless if it was 8v8, it would be too random with that many players.
do not forget, that player limit applies to custom maps too. 16 player skirmish would be a mess, but for certain game types (think TDs, RPGs, ...) more players could be very beneficial

Exactly. Maybe a 8v8 useless but i love to see huge wars, And that amount of total carnage would warm my heart.
Actually its not about upgrading your comp but the lame coders should learn coding games to use multiple cpus. Got a 4core intel cpu in my gaming box and the only game what used it out so far was GTA4...

your drivers/setting etc should auto turn them on when needed. all my cores are in use while playing sc2
400 zerglings each, 'nuff said .. (i don't think that much chaos at one time has ever happened in gaming before-- congrats blizzard on another milestone LOL)
