Title: AI vs AI?
Post by: Man7a on March 24, 2010, 04:16:48 AM
O:) Hi there, i was thinking, is there a possible way to have two ai versus one another while spectating it, but not AI of the same 'makers' but for example, Starcrack standard AI vs Strategy AI.

Just a thought. would make for some nice matches.

It works if you set all players to AI.
I did it once. Don't remember with which launcher, but it worked.

Oops, no, then I don't know if it's possible...

Currently it's not possible since only one AI patch can be in effect at the same time. It could only work if all the AI makers agreed on a "front end" that could choose between multiple AIs (which would be integrated into a single patch) based on things like player number/color and race.

Is there not a way maybe to use certain races of one another, for example, use the Terrran of Ghost AI and use Zerk of of strategy AI.

If one would open the Base.SC2Data with a MPQ editor en swap some of the files needed for each race? or does it not work like that? then at least you can get a semi outcome while having the best of all the AI to play against.

Just a thought
