why didn´t release at megaupload? web is dead xd :D anyway, i think that blizzard are not idiots, i´m completly sure that they patched the game for devs can crack it, blizzard dont make things wihout reasons...and let that button sound (play as guest)... :-[ , but its my opinion.

Also on SPORE (a game developed by EA) there was a secret button. I think they just forgotten the sound in there.

Yes, it's with the new patch. If your game is hacked at all (like for replays), I'd recommend doing a clean install, install the patch, then wait for the hack to be released.

True. But localplayer as a battle.net name seems rather unlikely.
Anyway Teknogods does have a reputation. They cracked the Red Alert 3 Co-Op mission mode as well as successfully emulated several other servers, so they do qualify as reliable.
Hopefully the hack is released and may further lead to sever emulation in the future.

I may be way off on this one, but it may be something Blizzard has done on purpose to "stop" all this massive assault on the beta that may have long term consequences going into full release. It's as if they wanted this "test game" to be found so that it all calms down for a while...I think anyway some connection with the crack popping up right after the update (and claiming thanks for v14093) has gotta go beyond the obvious.

It's certainly possible. Create a "backdoor" to get the game at least up and running, so people without keys can tinker with the game, while giving their forums a breather for once. It's a good way to calm the masses during beta. It does seem rather ironic that the day the patch comes out there is now a hack for the game because of it.

This feels vaguely familiar. Before warcraft 3 release I know there was a leak and crack. I seem to remember it only allowed building and so on with no AI or networking. Anyone remember?

I think its quite likely this hack will lead to AI and LAN play. It depends on what kind of hack this is. If you are able to bypass battle.net and play on your own then you can do it against the computer and other people. Unless this is like an MMO where everything is server side then its likely we won't require a private server.

Are you sure about that? I can still remember when it was slated for a 07/08 release. The earliest release date I've heard is June and I doubt it will be that early. Blizzard like to finish a game then mess around with it for 2-3 years before they think its suitable for release.

Considering it's already in beta, the game is already this extremely polished (which is evident in all the videos, the forums, etc.) it's just a matter of balancing the game. In the latest Blizzcast, they've even said Beta is mostly just for balancing. Everything else is done. There is no way it wouldn't be released sometime this summer.
I've seen some release dates on Gamestop (EB Games Canada, since i live in canada) and Bestbuy website... Already putted my deposit on it :)

The beta is of course just for balancing issues, but I think the main reason for the delay has been the net battle.net. They've completely re-written it from the old one to make it better and I think that's produced a lot of bugs for them to iron out over the last few years.

Not only balancing adding features too, campaigns...
It's very easy to prototype a game with a good team, but making it a good game it takes years... Trust me .. i had my trials of launching games too

Right. Obviously bnet is main reason why it's take so long since this is basically SC1 put on the old WC3 engine with better graphics and some new units. Compared to any other blizzard sequel the level of innovation is miniscule. This is exciting and all and it's still blizzard, just not the good 'ol blizzard. Thanks for the new bnet that's basincally just about making your games harder to crack and gives them more ways to ask for money and virtually has nothing to do with making the game experience better. If I'm wrong, someone tell me what features in SC2 am I missing that makes it leaps and bounds over the previous? And since we know bnet is the reason for the several-year-delay, what about bnet will make the player experience so much better than the old bnet?

True that. I remember when the beta was about to be released, Gamespot was mentioning how the game is "Well on track for a mid-2010 release as planned"...and Battle.net the main reason for the delay.
I'm not sure pros have been helping out with the balancing for ages, coz this new beta version brought some radical changes, and I was personally very surprised to see abilities go in and out (Protoss took a pretty big hit imho, what the hell are they doing to the mothership?:O).
Anyway, I'm off topic with that one. To the point, there's a definite mid-'10 planned release. Hopefully, on track.
In Blizzcast 13, they said they were going to be disabling the coop vs. AI for the beta so that they could focus more on PvP. I hope they leave the code there, so that we can get a crack.

Yes, but in the new Blizzcast, Blizzard stated that they will be removing this feature in future builds (they didn't say when). If this feature is removed, it may not be possible to create a hack.

You don't need fresh install. If you used replay hack, just remove the authentication.aspx from SWF folder and it should work. You run the .exe file, pick a map and it automatically runs the game with this map. i don't know how you pick a race though, I hope it's not terran only, lol.

All I know right now is you need to patch your game. Make sure it's patched with that latest one blizzard just released.

1 - If you have patched the game to watch replays, you have to put back the original MPQ before updating if not, blizzard updater wont work.
2 - Update game client to current patch.
3 - After sucess updating, just use the new crack

HOW TO SET IT UP.
1. Unpack Lazy launch application
2. Open it.
3. Click on a map file you have downloaded through the little client that opens up, no map files are included with the application. Use the above link to get some.
4. Loading screen will pop up momentarily. Takes about 1 minute to load.
From what I heard it works with the new patch and original client. If it is not working you have either downloaded a broken file (unlikely), the SC2 client installed wrong (unlikely), you screwed with the SC2 client's files (unlikely), its conflicting with another crack installed (no reports yet), or your computer cant handle it (likely).

I got problem with this crack. I just reinstalled SC2 (I got install from FilePlanet), just updated it.
I run crack, pick map - load and then right after loading is done I got error and back to windows.
I could easily watch replays without any problems. So it's not that my laptop can't handle SC :) . I also got Win7 64-bit

Nah, it's actually working, virus or not. It'll be pretty funny for a while, seeing how you randomly get each race and game time is virtually endless...hopefully before we all get bored more development will be done.

i have to shut down my avast for me to test this luncher, but still im getting nowhere cuz after loading screen comes up it says Unable to run game and takes me to login screen

You need to choose this path : C:\Users\your_username\Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Maps\Cache

It was first in "C/programfiles/Starcraft2beta" but when it didn't work i reinstalled to "C/Starcraft2beta"
I noticed some of the maps aint working.

hi i cant wait to try out the sandbox crack. unfortunately i am at school right now, and after school i have work for 2 hours. THEN i have to go do a play at my school (which is dumb because i found out that today i have to just watch this guy who has done lights longer than me do the lights for tonight, and thats BECAUSE i am working), so i probably wont end up getting the crack up and running till about 11 tonight or tomorrow morning. i am looking around and it seems like some maps are not working. i am wondering if lost temple is working because that is my all time favorite starcraft map.

turn off ur anti virus... when i told my AV to ignore it, it gave me ur error, once i disabled it, i was good to go

For all you n00bs out there, there's no Virus, I suggest you all get a decent (legit, non-freeware) AV package. I'm using Kaspersky 2010 with latest updates without any errors/warnings.
PS: I'll be releasing a standalone updater for the US client tomorrow morning (GMT +2), so you don't have to connect to Blizzard's BitTorrent server(s) to update.

Albeit the first zip uploaded was corrupt, they quickly re-uploaded a second zip and was proven to work. This zip, the FIRST and ORIGINAL release was the link posted on this site, a link which you claim to be virus infected.
From the above timeline it's only reasonable to tell that this file is legit from Teknogods. Now if you don't trust Teknogods, go do some research about them and see what they have offered over years to the gaming community.
If you strongly believe the devs at Teknogods worked their ass off to make SC2 beta playable for you only to inject some virus up your ass, I can only assume you may be the same crowd that thought going up to the moon is a hoax.
Please flame me as see fit or ban my accounts if the mods deem this inappropriate. I have no quarrel and just want to say one thing, please respect the devs for their contribution, and use your logic.

I didn't know about DarkBlizz/TeknoGods until very recently while searching around for SC2 beta cracks. This is legit, and I made an account just to post here.
Granted there's no AI yet, it's better than nothing, and at least I can experiment with the game and get a feel for its mechanics, builds, UI, etc.

I got it to work I just turned off my AV then clicked it. I will tell you it IS LEGIT and you can play around with units and so on. Although tbh that isn't very fun after a little while. Good work on the crack and thanks a lot!

For me, SC is sign of really good story, not PvP. So, possibility to play skirmish, even with AI, isn't so great for me like for you. But finally, my curiosity overwhelmed me...

I think the main thing to draw from this, is that while it IS fun to practice build orders and what not, we're a huge step closer to playing offline vs AI. Doubtful there's campaign in the beta but if I'm not mistaken, you can play vs AI online.
I know nothing about this junk but, if we can start a game and build, the only thing left would be to stick an AI of any level into the game. From a noob's point of view that seems like an easier task to accomplish than making a sandbox crack.

You should be able to just go into the game menu and restart the game. It's random race selection, so just restart until you get the race you want.

Ill give those with problems still a complete description of how I got it to work and the issues I solved.
I use Vista which is known to have permission issues, so I have a fresh install of SC2 Beta in a folder on my desktop. I have the modded Authentication.gfx if thats what it was, the file used to watch replays. Then I dl'd this crack and it told me it was unable to find the file (ie. I needed to patch up).
Loaded SC2, it started the auto-patching process then told me it was unable to find the original file used on install, the one you replaced to watch the replays. Replacing the original file allowed SC2 to correctly patch up. Runny lazy worked this time around, just needed to give it permission. Loading the files with names like uih435joi345kokk5mn is generally not the easiest way, no idea why people still keep doing it. Makes it a lot easier if you load a map with a name like Steppes of War, then you at least know if its a map file or not.
I realize some issues are completely different but, I don't see how so I just posted my process ;)

There's absolutely no risk with this it works fine! While it is a little boring without any AI to play against its still good to get the hang of the units and learn the shortcuts before you get to play for real! Its surprising how much has changed from sc1 and will take a little getting used to! (At least for me anyway)

Coming from someone who was better than the majority of sc players, this game is defff gonna take getting used to!
Haha I kept doing B+P to make pylons and it wouldnt work. Took me awhile to figure out they changed it to e (wtf?). Hotkeys are really the only difference to me though, new abilitys are negligible really just gotta make a few small changes to how you build things.
Oh and built-in multihack is for sure a lifesaver, I'm a fan.

Actually I was having a problem when I tried to update the normal way. Got some kind of tracking error... Anyways here is a download link for anyone who can't install the update the normal way.

To install the update this way just make sure you unzip the folder called Updates to your Starcraft 2 directory. Then run SC.exe and make sure you are connected to the internet. It will then apply the patch as if you have downloaded the files through their server.

Yes, patch 2 has been released. Although I didn't update yet in fear of the crack not working.

hmmm... I found some weird stuff..
when I open http://www.starcraft2.com/launcher/patch-notes.htm (http://www.starcraft2.com/launcher/patch-notes.htm) about 30 minutes ago it shows me the patch is 0.3.0.14133 and the patch notes is completely different from patch 0.3.014093
so I assume blizzard has made new patch already???
but now the site's back to 140 again
and if I go to C:\Program Files\StarCraft II Beta\Versions
there is a folder base14133
anyway, I still can run the lazylaunch crack :D
Yes, patch 2 has been released. Although I didn't update yet in fear of the crack not working.
If anyone has updated to patch 2 yet can you confirm the crack still works after updating? Logic tells me the crack should still work because it has nothing to do with b.net, but I want to play things safe here :)
The crack looks for the Base14093 folder, and when I replaced the files in that folder with the new patch 2 files (from Base14133), it works with patch 2 data. Like Barracks going from 65 to 60 time to build.

Like I said.. there is folder 14133 in my starcraft 2 folder. so it means i've already install patch 2
and I still can run the crack.. so dont worry..

It's all right. Too much paranoia :-) I downloaded a crack from Teknogods Reaver and it was fake, so I was suspicious (Never heard of Teknogods).
Now I have scanned my whole computer, no signs about Win32:JunkPoly behaviour and have read something about VMProtect. Crack is allright, great job.

It is becouse you like most use the crack to be able to view replays. even i had teh problem. easy to solve by uninstalling and reinstall.

I can only change to green but i always played as blue.To change your colour to green ingame the menu down where is the minimap at the right part there are buttons one of them changes your colour to green.

Looks like good old lazylaunch.exe leaves a backdoor. Tell me why it autoruns some script on my machine and tries to gain access to COM Surrogate? Then later, tries to access SVCHOST?
