Hey Vernam, I'm having a HUGE problem. maybe you can help me out? Every time i start SCII when the screen turns black while loading it, my computer crashes with the bsod-----  "irql_not_less_or_equal", which happens EVERY time. It doesn't matter if i run SCII with the launcher or the official .exe file. After looking it up it seems that there is "faulty hardware or software installed".i seriously doubt that the problem is hardware because my computer can run tf2, bc2, half life 2, among many other games. Actually SCII ran perfectly for lie a month, but after installing another launcher i got this problem. After vigorously uninstalling and reinstalling SCII, I had no success. Then looking the the registry, i found the launcher left some unwanted file, so i deleted them and presto! it worked! now after playing for a week i am getting the problem again. it happened as soon as i used this modded map "http://sc2.nibbits.com/maps/project/74284/twilight-fortress-money-map". Now i have the same problem. No matter where I reinstall it, i still have this problem. I fear that there are some files that are not being removed (not official blizzard files) during the uninstall that are causing SCII not to be able to be launched. PLZ HELP ME! I'm really frustrated and i actually lost a lot of sleep last night trying to fix it.  :ticked: :bangshead: Please and thank you in advance.

This is not the place to post SC2 issues unless caused by the launcher. If Starcraft II causes a BSOD, and it happens with or without the launcher, its an issue with your system. Just because some games run fine but SC2 doesn't, doesn't mean you aren't having hardware failure. Why don't you test a different video card in the machine. Uninstall, and delete everything SC2 related, every map file, all cache files in your local settings folder and documents folder. Take the BSOD literally. If SC2 crashes, it could be a corrupt video card driver. Hence why the crash log tells you its due to hardware failure.

Thank you for your allin1 tool. :)
I want to post 2 bugs about 4.7.0.
1st,You need to have at least two maps in your map folder.Otherwise it will say no map found.
I found 3.6.3 do not have this bug.

2nd,allin1 tool from 3.6.6 will exit with "SC2.exe stop working" message in the loading stage.
Both Team and FFA.
Windows 7 RTM 32bit with built in dotnet framework and sc2 beta installed updated to patch 5,cache put in the right folder, blizzard offical Lost Temple map.
I think I did everything right but error keeps.

However I meet no problem in 3.6.3.

PS:I replaced AI in 3.6.3 with 7.0 hard.
But I found AI is a bit stupid.
Can I use AI 7.0 with your tool 3.6.3?
Thanks.

AI is not stupid. 4.7.0 implements Turdburglers config galaxy file that actually determines the difficulty of the AI. The Launcher auto replaces the galaxy file. this is why your is probably so easy, because 3.6.3 doesn't even know what that file is.  Also which version of .net framework? 3.5?

Vernam, excellent launcher... but I REALLY don't like the AI selection in the newest version.  For Starcrack AI, the "hard" level gives it a resource bonus of 2, which DOUBLES its resource intake.

You really need to just let us designate a folder for all the AIs, and let us put all the Base files in there so we can select whichever AI we want easily, without having to click browse, then find it, then save every time.

IMO, this easy/med/hard crap is useless...it should depend on how the AI is coded, NOT on whether or not the AI cheats.  I don't consider a resource cheating AI to be "hard"... you could play against a pretty crappy player with a 2x resource bonus, and he'd have a good chance of winning.  I'd simply consider it an unfair advantage that will never happen when playing another person.

* I also got the sc2.exe stopped working error + launcher crash when trying to play teams on LT.  Everything is set up correctly, and I installed the launcher to the default location.  I'm using Win 7 32-bit.  Is this an isolated issue?

Use a different launcher then. Vernam will not be changing the Easy Medium Hard options. You can choose your AI, and Save and never have to browse for them again. Not sure why you think you have to keep picking them and saving everytime you open the launcher. If you dont like the options he provides then edit the AI yourself with the galaxy file in the SC2 directory. Turdburgler intended the AI to be modified this way anyway. And sorry. Hard doesn't just change the resource bonus. it also sets "int c_difficulty = 0;" Easy and Medium use values of 2 and 1 (respectively). This actually changes how the AI picks and chooses counter attacks and strategies. You obviously don't know how it works at all. The 3 AI's bundled with the Launcher are Turd's 3 versions of v7 AI.  Not just random AI that he threw in there.

3)in the near future when the starcrack AI 7.1 gets more Customizable options i will make a special tab-form where you will be able to FULLY customize your A.I!

Thnx for the wonderful team option but if we get to customize A.I. won't that make watching replays extremely hard? Or won't you need the exact same settings to watch the replay?

I think you have the best launcher atm, so good job!

The only thing I really don't like is the AI selection/customization.  Instead of having just 3 files (easy/med/hard), you should just make it a selectable list from a user defined folder, like the other launchers have.  That way you're not confined to select from just 3 AIs at a time, without constantly switching them.

Most importantly, I'd rather label the different AIs in the list myself, instead of "easy"/"medium"/"hard".

Thanks!

He did this for a reason. To keep it simple. If you want to change the AI yourself there is an option in the AI Selection drop down, or you can rename them manually and throw them in the AllIn1 Folder. He will not be changing the AI options.

I'm gonna be whipped by Vernam7...
Teams work, that's great, as I told you by pm ;)
But... (there's always a but :p), ressource sharing doesn't... It's fine with me, since I don't use the feature anyway, but, well... :P

Anyway, thanks again, man, great work ;)

Resources sharing DOES work. You don't have a pooled amount of resources. You can grab a team mates unit and build something with it, rather than using its minerals it will use yours. So its not really "sharing" lol.

Vernam, 4.6.2 resolved team issue completely for me.

Hmmm, i seem to have a problem when i want to watch a replay. The tool loads the screen but just when it's about to play it gives me a message that says "Replay Desync". What is that all about, and what can i do to fix it? I mention that i got the cache files from here http://www.sc2win.com/starcraft-2-downloads/starcraft-2-cache-files-update/ . Thx in advance for the help.

Please read the thread fully before asking questions. Replay Desync is caused by the incorrect AI File being selected. If you're trying to watch a Blizzard replay (the first replays released) then you need to select the Very Easy AI (Blizzard Default)

If it's your own replay, you need to use the difficulty you used when that replay was made.

Could be IE 8 causing issue. Looks like it caused issues with gadgets in Vista (pink border)

Hey  :)

Im trying to use this, but I cant seem to add maps to the launcher. I downloaded a map from sky0 and got the S2MA file, but when I try to add it can't detect it. Sorry if this is an easy problem, I actually never played a game of SC in my life yet, lol.  ::)

Also when I run the tool, it says "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object"? Not sure what that means.  :(  The message pops up, but doesnt stop the tool from opening.

Any help would be appreciated!

Very strange! I just tried adding maps from my unpacked Syk0 folder. Where is the folder located? Mine added no problem!  Try adding the maps manually into:C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Maps

Unless you have Vista or 7 then locate the same folder in your User\Documents folder

Try that

Pretty sure the syk0 maps, and any AI enable map for that matter, will always pick random.

*update after further testing*

Selecting your race simply does not work.

Sometimes its random, sometimes it sticks regardless of restarting the map.

It doesn't matter if I select each teams races/colors etc. It's still completely random.

But then when I set the teams to random, the computer player gets stuck on whatever
the initial random choice was etc....

So, in a nutshell, race selection is all screwed up. Manually selecting a race doesn't work and neither does the random option.

:(

WHich maps are you using? THey weren't edited with another launcher right? AI enabled maps? Have you tried original blizzard maps?
