I also encountered that scenario. SC2 seems not to update but actually it's updating and downloading files into `C:\Starcraft II Beta\Updates` folder. There is an option to get the patches manually by downloading patches and extract its content into C:\Starcraft II Beta\Updates. Get patches form here: http://blizzard-gaming.blogspot.com/2010/05/sc2-patch-download.html

Did you do it this way?

1. install sc2
2. run sc2 and let it download the latest patch
3. Install 3rd party launchers like lazytown or starcrack allin1
4. Download maps
5. Run 3rd party launchers like lazytown or starcrack allin1

Which one is more suitable and recommendable to use, LazyTown Lancher v2 or Starcrack Allin1?

Or maybe there are other launchers out there that are most trusted and tested.
