Help / Re: Crash on Login Problem
July 31, 2011, 06:53:03 AM
Hello,

I think the steps no. 6 and 8 are necessary because you don't have TW version from the beginning of the installation. Also what kind of operating system are you using ? I think in step 4 is a wrong path.

For example at Windows XP : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Blizzard Entertainment\ <and there you can put your map cache files  ver. 1.3.2 >

General / An idea about starfriend
July 30, 2011, 01:33:08 PM
Hello again folks,

I've got some ideas about starfriend. Personally I think that the project of StarFriend is very close to BNet 2.0 emu. Is there any chance to get source code of StarFriend and make some upgrades ?

For example: db connection for SCII login accounts, ranks etc.. ?

And why ? Starfriend looks very interesting to me from perspective of developer and SC2 gamer/fan.
Is there some irc channel at darkblizz for devs ?

Thanks a lot.

General / StarFriend on converted enGB
July 30, 2011, 12:59:40 PM
Hi guys,

for first I want to thank you to all of you from this community. I'm big fan of your work.

I made a simple update from my perspective... This help belongs to all of you who having troubles with TW SC II client and StarFriend.

Quote
Tested with enGB SC II :)

1. Install StarCraft II (don't activate)
2. Patch on 1.3.2 version (NO TW conversion.. stay on your region client build) [for me sc2-1.3.2-engb]
3. Now copy scl_locale_converter into root folder of your patched SC II
4. Run scl_locale_converter and convert your version SC II into TW
5. Copy all data from StarFriend 0.44 into root folder of your converted SC II TW version.
6. Launch server
7. Launch SCII and login

Have a good time.
