Nice work with your visual mod, looks fantastic!

Hi,

I saw a bug on the minimap, Blistering Sands seem to be bugged . I don't know if it's caused by the version of my maps or the launcher itself...

Zexon or anyone, I just need to know. Is there a way to have LAN matches?

I don't think any launcher has LAN functionality at the moment. Might have been a typo.

I experienced the same problem lately. The following link will lead you to a solution that fixed my Starcraft 2 Beta http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/not-enough-pylons/for-all-those-who-got-a-crashing-sc2-at-loading-screen-look-here!/msg10724/#msg10724

I hope this works for you.

Terran is very appealing to me. I'm starting to appreciate the Zerg as well btw, never 'waste' resources on queued units.

There are some kind spirits in the world. Amazing you are offering this.

I use both StarLauncher and Valkirie's Beta Launcher, StarLauncher for the team play and awesome no map repacking features, and Valkirie's launcher is pretty much standard for me now :P absolutely beautiful UI and map download and the ranking systems.

I agree with the above. If I want to do some teamplay I use the Starlauncher, for all the other games I play I use Valkirie's launcher.

THE SOLUTION:
Remember to enable "show hidden files, folders, or drives: HOWTO: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=74220

Windows 7/Visa: Go in to C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Blizzard Entertainment\

And simply DELETE the Battle.net folder, this should fix your problem as starcraft 2 now will make a new of these folders the next time you open starcraft 2 :)
Hope this helps you!!
PS: KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK SC2 CRACKER COMMUNITY  :-* :-* :-*

(edit: Added the path for xp users (thank you apriores) :)

Edit: Thanks for the suggestion. My game is working again, I will try and see if I can fix my replay functionality later this week.

Before I try this alternative I want to point something out. I finally have my replays working (due to the fact that I have gotten my hands on a working cache map). Inside this Cache folder are a lot of other folders, also containing the original version of the Blizzard maps.

So if I do delete my Battle.net folder I possibly won't be able to watch those replays anymore, unless I add the Original maps to both the Cache (that will be made automatically I assume) and the Starcraft 2 installation folder? I will see how it goes and update accordingly if this is indeed working.

Edit:  problem has been solved. Solution to my problem was deleting the Battle.net folder inside my C:\User\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\ . I suppose my replays aren't working anymore but that's a problem for another day. Thread may be closed.

Hello,
I have been playing Starcraft 2 for a couple of weeks now, mostly using information provided here. But this evening my Starcraft 2 suddenly stopped working. I am running on a 32bits version of Windows 7, here is what I did:1. Installed SC2 (downloaded v13891) and updated until the latest as of now;2. Used LazyLauncher first, switched over to Valkirie's launcher and I am also using a third launcher which enables teamplay and alliance control/shared resources;3. Decided to give it anoter try today to get my replays working and found the following article (http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/not-enough-pylons/complete-guide-installation-ai-maps-cache-replays%28including-your-own-vs-ai%29/) which was the only piece of information that led me to being able to watch replays from my own games and real Beta games;4. From the article mentioned earlier I installed a new Cache folder (containing maps in their proper folders and I don't know what else), I did not install the battlenet.gfx to bypass the login screen and watch replays but I used a bypasser mentioned somewhere else on this site (map name was called SWF containing the specific file);5. I installed the Artosis replay pack and I could successfully run replays from that file and my own replays as well;6. After I came back from dinner (while nothing should have been changed in the meantime) my game suddenly stopped working.7. I loaded Blistering Sands, but I realised too late that that specific map is bugged using the third launcher I mentioned in the start of this post. After the loading bar filled up my Starcraft 2 exits without any message and I will see my desktop and opened programs etc. I tried several other maps as well as Valkirie's launcher, but nothing seems to work.8. I reinstalled the whole game and only went through the steps mentioned in the article above, but my game keeps crashing to desktop. After this wall of text I only have one solution to my problem. Is there a possibility that the hidden "C:\USER\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertaintment" does not get deleted after uninstalling the game? If the answer to this question is yes, it might be worth a shot to manually delete it and let the Blizzard Cliënt recreate it again? I doubt it actually since I merged a fresh Cache map from the aforementioned article.Any help would be much appreciated, and excuse me for the wall of text.

After playing several games this afternoon I went for dinner and as soon as I came back I found out that something is broken now. I didn't change anything on my computer. I noticed this when I accidentally tried to load a 1v1 map (Blistering Sands, which was mentioned as a bugged map). After this I tried the other maps and even another cliënt to filter out the problem, but nothing seems to get it working again.

I doubt the problem will be in my cache folder. I actually have no idea where to start, guess I will start from scratch and see if I can get it to work again (using Win7 32bit).

I know that there are alot of guides here but I decided to add my own aswell.
The difference between my guide and the others are:

1. I dont mess with the original Base.SC2Data file. AI-scripts are in separate folders.
2. You can watch your own replays vs AI aswell as downloaded replays right of the bat.
3. I only use Blizzards own maps, no hacked AI-versions.
4. All files are hosted at my own site (except for the Beta-Installer).

The files in this guide...
...

Support Blizzard and buy the game when it's released! I know I will.

Thank you so much! I have been trying to get my replays working for several days now. Tried a lot of different launchers and map files but none of it seemed to work. Thanks to your guide and the files/links provided I finally have it running. I guess the problem was a wrong cache. Great work!

And off course I will buy the game when it's released  ;D . It's just too fun to let it slip past me for now.

Beta is going public for preorders and you will have to pay again

Is that actually confirmed? In my opinion it would be best to give Beta access to preorders, but then again there would possibly be loads of preorders. So I don't know if we can see this in the future.
