Those are the ones im using, they seem pretty decent, anyone got more to add ?

man..... I updated to the 196.21 drivers on my wifes pc and it worked fine. Does the freezing only happen in SC2 or does it happen in other games 2 ?

What im starting to think is that either 1.) the grpahics card is dieing, 2.) Your pc or graphics card is overheating. But these are both answered by the first question. If ur pc is not freezing in other games for a few seconds then it must be 1.) a beta issue 2.) some corruption on ur starctaft install. Reinstall starcraft 3,) ram or driver issue

Last suggestion if none of the above works is to try and run the game with 2gigs ram (i.e. take out a ram module and then try the game, if it freezes swap to the other ram module still running 2 gigs) if it still freezes and u followed the above steps. then make 100% sure u have done all ur pc updates and starcraft patches and give us more feedback.

in order to watch the replays, or you guys playing vs the AI's. U must load the replay in the with the same difficulty setting that was used to create that replay.

For example if player A makes a game on "medium" 6.1 non cheating edition. Then player b must select medium before watching the replay to make if not desync.

Im not familiar with Starcraft II - Beta Launcher version 0.21 by Valkirie as I use the SC2ALLin1. If you cannot select a dificulty with Starcraft II - Beta Launcher version 0.21 then you can always just use lazylauncher and open the replay. Just make sure that you replace the x:\games\StarCraft II Beta\Mods\Liberty.SC2Mod\Base.SC2Data file with the AI that the replay was recorded with.

hey man, i read another post like this but seems the author is not responding. Im guessing you either dont have the verdana font installed or urs is corrupt.

Try get to another pc with the same OS as u and copy the windows font folder from that pc to yours. I know in windows 7 you can get to the font folder via control panel -> fonts. Otherwise im sure u will find it in c:\windows\fonts or something similar.

Seems to me like you dont have the correct or updated cache installed. Try this out let me know if u come right:

go to the above link and find the heading Stacraft 2 Cache files download.

Download the 0315 cache files and follow the instructions on the page and you should come right.

hmm.. seems like the font might actually be missing, go to ur control panel  -> fonts and make sure that the verdana font is there. depending on your OS type maybe try copying the fonts folder from another pc to yours ?

The same thing was happening on my wifes pc until I upgraded her Nbidia graphic drivers then now its much better. What Nvidia drivers you running ? maybe I can give u more advice then

Im really on the fence with this one. there are two sides to this argument from my perspective, given the fact that i live in a country where the internet is slow and overpriced. Not to say that the country(South Africa) is not getting there or moving forward.

On the one side of the coin I see no reason for blizz to implement lan as i have a 512k permanent internet connection. As a 29 yr old man with passion for gaming and development I can afford the price per month.

That being said, i remember when i was in matric(grade 12). One of my friends suggested i get starcraft as it was an awesome game. I remember going to his house later that afternoon with my copy of the game and my PC. We stayed up all night gaming on LAN, ended up bunking school the next day to recover.

My point is poeple in less developed countries, younger kids (like my nephews) and kids who's parents cannot affrod broadband will loose out with no LAN capability. Its also good to note that this is the perfect age to capture them with awesome game  titles which blizz has always released.

Thanks Richatu, I have really always enjoyed starcraft. Its going to be awesome to share that fun and excitment with my son while he grows up, seeing that ill be playing the game for the next 100000000000 years.

I was playing a game vs the AI today, built a pylon near my vesepene geyser. My opponent a drone came through to scout me and got stuck between the pylon and my geyser. I could not build an assimilater till i killed the drone.

anyone else checked this out ?
