That's an awesome banner. Keep up the good work.
The colour works really well with the current website colours.
I think it would be better for you if the slogan wasn't placed in a black area and if no animation occurred. It took me 5 seconds just to be able to read the slogan alone because of the darkness itself and the tentacles.
You can also see that the slogan begins bright and becomes darker. Try and keep the colour of the text consistent.
If you don't want to change it, try putting an outer glow on the text to make it more easily read.

Here's a photoshop tutorial to help you: http://t-academy.blogspot.com/2009/08/recreate-starcraft-2-logo.html

I don't know how to help you with the electricity around the II. You'll have to experiment with that.

Good luck.

That's the most unique concept of a banner I've seen for this website. *Two thumbs up*
I just don't like the colours you've used, it does injustice to the banner.

My entry for the contest. Just follow the link :-) > http://img.ihack.se/one/1401Untitled-3.jpg

Decided to go for a blue theme, which imo fits great with rest of the grey.

Hope you like it.

Pretty good. Just a suggestion, you might want to move the text so it doesn't block the image of the zealot. It'll look a lot better.

Greetings,

I know its a bit of a shot in the dark, but I have a HoN beta account that I no longer play, and a 100% unused Left 4 Dead 2 cdkey that I am willing to trade for a SC2 beta key.  Any takers?  I'll throw in a CoD4 key as well if you want.

HoN is going into open beta. You would've received an email about it so I don't think there's any point in offering it.

"To coincide  with this new patch we have also announced the beginning of our Open  Beta.  On Wednesday, March 31 @ 4:00 PM PST (-8 GST) we will begin  accepting beta registration which require no key."

Haha...Avatar's a cheap rip of Pocahontas. Te only thing James Cameron can call his own is the word "unobtanium".

For those who haven't seen the Avatar/Pocahontas storyline similarity:

I remember playing pokemon yellow on my computer like 10 years ago, aah the nostalgia. :D

Yeah I remember doing that on my Windows 98 computer. Still have that comp under the stairs collecting dust.  :D

Any chance of a PS3 emulator? I wanna play FFXIII.  :(

cant we just give the cd key to one person at a time then they can register it on a b.net account with other games then they give the extra cd key to the site again to give it to someone else with a b.net account with other games on it then repeat?

The problem with that is that people aren't that keen to give their key to a random person on the net. Personally, I'd keep the extra beta key and give it to my friend.

SC2 Tools / Re: Malu05's Starcraft 2 Tool (hack)

Wow not bad. What other nifty things will we see in version 2?

And I also agree with the_ace, hack just makes you lose interest in the game real fast. But I wouldn't mind using hacks (like maphack) in ranked ladder games cause I'm really into my wins/loss games by the end of the day.

I'm tired of going around websites hosting contests that require some sort of design skill, filled with submissions of people stealing the creative work of others, AND acting like they are the true owners of the work.

Quote4.) All submitted entries must be original   and your own.

"GREAT WORK"

:o How'd you find that?

Well I understand from you POV how you think it isn't his own original entry, seeing as he copied/borrowed the concept of closing steel doors. But I feel like its a concept where anyone can use.
Just take for example forum sigs, you can't just accuse another member that they've copied your work just because they used the same special FX as your sigs. That's what tutorials are for  :P .
On another note, there's a message on the bottom right of the site saying that its an "Advanced Tutorial". So I'm pretty sure he has the write to use the concept.

P.S. I'm not trying to demean you, I'm just trying to show  you a different POV.

That's one bad-ass paint job you've done man. You've really captured the darkness there.
Maybe you could change the slogan as "DarkBlizz the dark side of battle.net" which sounds  better with the marine image. And while I'm talking about the slogan, is it now officially "Making Battle.net Magic" or are we open to write whatever slogan we want?

Nice vid.
I liked the 1:23 segment you put of Kerrigan in the news headline. The music integrates well with the theme of the video "Kerrigan's revenge". The only bad thing about it is the CGI of starcraft 1 clips and starcraft 2 clips/gameplay, and its not your fault with that.
Good luck with the comp.  :)
