Yes this is indeed Chinese. Had a bit of trouble understanding it (Japanese speaker) since 北九州市 is a place in Japan (kitakyushu shi) but found Jiuzhou on google (九州). Weirdly enough this is the island of kyushu in Japanese!Without StubbornRock's post I would have been very confused since it would have otherwise looked it was from Japan but written in Chinese.
Yea, regarding there are lots of similarity in our texts, I did some research to check on this city. It turns out you are right in the first place kewickviper-san, 北九州市 should be a city in 九州岛,日本(Japan).

There is a city in 云南,中国(China)called 九州市. In that case the word "北" would only mean north part of this city (which would be very unlikely to be put on the "SCV").

However, there is a city in Japan called 北九州市. So I think it is more likely to be a city in Japan.

P.S. OMG! I rewrote the same thing 3 times just becuz the stupid reply system keep timing out!

Grats, I guess I don't need to translate since people above did. Sign, people need to work hard on their writing next time.

QuoteDid the sentry open shields? Otherwise the combination lost 50% of its   effectiveness.

Yes that's the problem sentry didn't use shields just shooting at marines. If he used shields i think AIUR would survive that attack, and later probably win.  Micro management should be improved in next version.
It is not Aiur AI's problem, Starcrack didn't have sentry shield write into it

Just tested it, like you said, starcrack 7.02 terran vs Auir, Toss won extremely quickly, went 2 fast collossi and won with first major push, starcrack had only marines. I left starcrack settings untouched, so starcrack likely didn't have vision, but still, your claims are likely false, and/or you incorrectly implemented auir AI.

(Note: I am talking about the alpha 2 build btw)

EDIT: Tried starcrack terran vs alpha 3 build, and it seems your claims are true. alpha 3 build appears to do the same build, and lose to mass marines w/ shield timing push.
EDIT2: changed map, starcrack STILL does mass marines w/ shield, wins vs carrier build.

Granted, this is an alpha build, and it isn't even really finished, but its nice to see an AI that does different BOs.

Note: when playing against this AI, most builds are simple to defeat, just defend until first push, and then counter push, and knowing that carrier cheese is a possibility, I never lack the AA to combat it. I haven't seen Auir expand, does it currently lack expansion logic?
Yea, the AI that don't expand will lose to player who counter attack after its 1st wave. But an AI that expand will lose to agressive player that attack right when it was expanding and take advantage of its weak army.
This needs to be balanced out.

Starcrack 7.02 (terran)  wins this ai easily.
Have u tried this AI at all? Yes, starcrack is well known, but from my experience it is not as good as strategy and greentea. Plz keep in mind that this AI have 11 opening, if u are playing with a AI that is doing carrier rush then u are just lucky. This AI's ground force build is far more advance than any other AI i had played so far.

Very well done. I suprisingly lost to the mixed army build(zealot, centries, stalker, immortal). It did not blindly expand like other AI, insteadly it built a large army that fend of my timing push, and crushed my army. The carrier rush isn't effective but it did freaked me out quiet a bit.

Not enough Pylons / Re: How to get back to base?
April 11, 2010, 02:55:58 PM
No, there is no teleport...even more there is no hero no items, otherwise Blizzard won't make SC2(wats the point of having two game with same tactic). It will be too easy to defend ur base if u can just tele back....and that will be boring. SC is not another copy of warcraft, they are very different.

P.S. Try to not get under attack when ur army is out, that is what scout and watch tower are for.
In the most sudden situation u will have to eye for eye, trade base with ur enemy, and remember to sneaky out a worker to rebuilt.

Good to hear, as for the drivers part I am not going to be worried about....my parents said they won't let me drive because young adult tends get themselves killed(bs I don't drink at all, but anyway I have to respect their decision since they are kind enough to let me live on my own)....

General Discussion / Re: Are Nukes OP?
April 11, 2010, 11:39:01 AM
There is a 20 sec call down time, normally people won't call it on ur army but ur bases. If u have detection, it would be fairly easy to find the ghost since he can't move.
Everytime u hear the alert, just move ur army from its original spot.

Nuke is somewhat like DT, they are powerful when enemy have no detection but not OP.

One good thing about nuke is it punishes funky defense build. I saw a replay where the potoss player is just building canons in front of Terran's door. Since the ghost is standing on cliff, and the Protoss only have few unit to break in instead of 7-8 canon. Terran call down thenuke on the hopless canons, boom 1200 mineral wasted....

AI Discussion / Best AI!
April 10, 2010, 09:59:38 PM
Hi guys, I never saw any poll about the best AI so I decide to make one. In this ways we can help people to improve their skill more efficiently and reward the hardest working AI developers with popularity...at least I guess it won't become a burden for them..

Concussive shell in tech lab disappeared when use SC2Launcher launched the game with this AI. Please help  :'( .
Same problem here, although I don't know if it is because of the launcher....
Well I don't really need the research anyway...normally the game would end after stim pack is done

People are compassionated in the thing they are doing, especially to well defended b.net, hackers love to challenge them. this is something u can't stop. Overall the thread starter does made one point. Hack helps improve anti-hack.
In the end, why do u need cat when there is no mouse around.

P.S. Although I never ever encourage hacking, but I guess I don't have the right to stop others from hacking. As for the fairness of the game-that is something we have to leave to B.net. It is their duty to keep the game fair. If they don't care, then sc2 will just become one of many game that is overthrown by hacks
