As far as I know, you cannot save a game.  If you finish a game, you can go into the launcher and replay it but you have to set the AI to the same it was for the game that was played.

And yes, you can open the SC2 original executable and it will go on and DL updates for you without having to log into a BN account.

I have found this to be a bug which has been fixed by updating to the latest beta launcher .25.

Im using the latest SC2 Beta launcher v.25 by Valkari.  Within it, you can set the AI you wish to use ( i use the latest 7 standard) and you can choose either an AI map or a regular.  If you do choose an AI map, there is also a difficulty level that can be set for the map.  So I wonder, does the game use the AI that is set in the map; the AI set by the version I chose (7 std.); or both?
