I have to say, I approve of this change.  Stalkers always felt strangely ineffective early on, since their damage against light units like marines and zerglings was so low.

The stalker is meant to be weak against zerglings and other first tier units, this change makes them more effective against them. I'm confused on blizzards insight on this change, because it lowers their effectiveness in late game vs Armored Units/Buildings.

Patch 2 brought reactor build time from 40 to 25, and this one pushes it past 40 to 50. How odd

I like the stalker damage boost and the baneling damage boost. I wasn't really using them much. Also, the ghost price change is pretty sweet. Paying 100m and 200g always threw my resources off balance, though I'm no pro

Its a system where you log on to ur bnet account then connect with others, this way, blizz thinks pirated version will be stopped. Oh yeah, local connections are possible, it's just very diffrent

It's not a local connection. Even if you have 2 computers in the same room, you both have to connect to Bnet 2.0. This of course, does not have the low latency benefit of a direct, local connection. Its WIDE AREA NETWORK, not Local Area Network (WAN vs LAN). WAN uses your internet provider to make a connection, LAN does not.

With 7.0 I seem to be having an issue that when I launch it using the Beta Launcher its just an empty map and my units and the opponents units are M.I.A.

You didnt copy over the added file from the archive to the base directory.

Example: C:\Program Files(x86)\Starcraft II Beta

...huh? lmao . What do you mean archive and base directory. I unzipped the file to my folder of AI's, made it so that the Base.SC2Data file is in only one folder (like all the other Base.SC2Data files) and ran it. The difficultyAI.galaxy thing is in the same folder.

Right, and the difficultyAI.galaxy goes in the Starcraft II Beta directory, not the mods folder.

Archive - That thing you unzip that contains your files.
Base Directory - The games main folder

This is also very annoying DRM because people traveling, experiencing ISP issues, or a number of other issues are effectively blocked from playing a game they handed over cash for.

False. Look at the post above you. You authenticate once, and then the local account is activated, allowing you to play offline and not need battle.net for single player.

I tried posting in your feedback forum on Nibbits, but replies are locked and the forums are giving errors.

Anyway. Great to see 7.0 is out.

7.0 Standard:
They still will not rebuild a killed command center at their expansion. They did however, create a planetary fortress in the middle of their base...

Keep up the good work.

This has already been covered. Sigh.

All LAN play has been disabled, to reduce piracy. Downloading the game, cracking it, and playing it via LAN.

All multiplayer games of SC2 will have to authenticate and be ran through Battle.net. This is clearly WAN networking.

Blizzard has stated the release will not support LAN, and they have no plans to implement LAN to a later time.

The game will have an offline profile for people who aren't able to be online, but it must be authenticated to battle.net the first time.

The photo is most likely an alpha screenshot, when internal testing was going on before battle.net 2.0 was implemented.

Anyone able to give some clear differences (Pros/Cons) compared to 6.1.1?

If nobody posts, I'll do some testing and breakdown of my own this weekend.

LOL Should I attach a resume saying I can beat any race 6.1.1 cheating AI using Terran at any map any time anywhere using laptop?

I doubt anybody actually got one from posting on this thread lol.

While i doubt anyone from this forum got one, I am willing to wager that my chances of getting a key from this forum or a random person with a friend invite, are just as good as getting a key from OPT-IN at this point.... so take your pessimism elsewhere please.

If anyone wants a good 2v2 partner that was a strong veteran of SC1 and has been playing SC2 vs ai's for weeks, please PM me.

I'm from Canada, and usually available any nights and any weekend.

Thanks.

Wow. Looks like they are giving more money away for EBay. What a terrible way to delivery more invites.

I do realize this promotes more team play, but still think it's utter bullsh*t.

Yes. There was no flame. Just clarifying what your information really means.

Although, the more people/teams that share info/get past the login screens, the faster things will get done.

And yes, thanks for the negative rep....

Sounds like a good idea. 90% of games will be played in Faster (highest setting)
