To kblood: The referee is almost the same to the spectator but you can type messages in game.

What I'm wondering now is that for those playing Co-op game on Battle.net with beta keys, would allied AIs will attack enemy together or send army to each other's base like this one? The answer will result in two cases:

1. The launcher fully achieved team arrangement as Blizzard does, but current AI scripts lack the part for allied actions and will only attempt to attack every other players.

2. The AI scripts (even the Blizzard's VERY easy one) are already complete, but the launcher has not changed the team arrangement thoroughly. It only makes allied units not attackable and able to see each other, but the AI engine still recognize the allied player as hostile.

BTW, I found that the Muta's bounce damage hurts allied units; seems different from starcraft 1.

Lol calm down SCFan68. I know you're not doing anything wrong. I just feel a little little bothered when I saw your warnings three times within an hour (including the Chinese one which is not your fault).  ;) ::) ;D

And people need to be aware that this launcher permanently changes your source map files. Unlike other launchers which modify them for play by making a temporary map file to launch from, and then leaving the original untouched.  With this launcher, when you have played a game and quit, the map file in question is unquestionably changed/modified still after the fact.

This seems like poor form, IMO.

SCFan68 you're spammng this warning everywhere? I even find them on Chinese forum lol: http://3dmgame.chnren.com/bbs/showtopic-1156742.html

Anyway what you said is true but it should be an easy fix for the author. But why can't we backup the original maps ourselve? It doesn't bother me at all.

So only way to use different AI besides Blizzard EXTREMELY EASY STUPID AI is to modify the maps?

Doesn't seem like the perfect launcher to me.

I'd rather have a directory which I can drop the new AI into, or an option to select a different AI.

Seems a bit drawn out and unnecessary.

Only redeemable feature of this Launcher is the file size and ram footprint.

The launcher has nothing to do with AI script. If you want a better AI, simply install Starcrack AI 6.1 by replacing Base.sc2data. The author said that he won't include the trivial AI mod and map management as everyone can just copy and paste files to achieve them.

The launcher is independent of Lazylauncher, and is the ONLY crack currently that make you play team game with AIs instead of the stupid Free For All. You just need this 66KB launcher to enjoy almost everything for single player, like in starcraft 1. That's why I like it so much.

This doesn't work with update 4. And it wont let you select which version to use.  :'(

I have update 4 and it's working with no problem. BTW, why do you need to switch version for playing? For watching replay you don't need this launcher, just run Starcraft II.exe and it'll automatically adapt game version to replay's version. (well u need the Battle.net\SWF\Authentication.gfx, which is well known since the second day Starcraft 2 beta out)

Put your founds non this tread about team setting so i can upload later on wiki......
http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/ai-development/map-disassembling/msg7019/#msg7019

I hope the author can share his findings about team settings. It should be a simple and elegant method. He only took half day to find out how to enable team settings according to his post on the Chinese forum.

BTW, I also found the allied AI will send their army to each other's base instead of attacking the enemy together. I think this can be fixed by improving AI script.

VERIFIED:  This launcher modifies the source map file permanently.

I tested this by using an unmodified, no ai added map to start.  I used this launcher to load it up with some AI's and so forth.  Then I quit the game.  The datestamp on the map had changed, and when I loaded the map directly with Lazy Launcher, there were AI's present, where normally an empty map such as this would do the "Victory!" thing immediately.

I'm very happy to see that someone got teaming up working.. but you can't change the source maps.  Other launchers do it by taking the source map, making the changes required, and then saving a temporary map file which is used to launch. They leave the original files untouched.

You're right. It's not a big problem at all as you can simply backup the original map and copy it back afterward. I think the author can easily make the launcher do this automatically to prevent further complains on this. But there's NO other crack at this time that can make you play with Allied computer/against Allied computers, which is the function we waited for weeks!

YOU'RE THE GOD! You just spend 2 days and single-handedly achieved starcraft 2 beta single player mode + AI enabled mode + race selection enabled + observer enabled + team selection enabled with a 65KB program, which the whole Myst+Lazytown+Starcrack teams take such a long time with so many GUIs/Plugins/Packs to achieve (and only part of them). GENIUS!

P.S. Make sure you guys use the original maps Blizzard provides. No AI maps/Lazylauncher needed. This launcher will take care of setting AIs and everything else. You can use it together with any AI mod (script) just as usual.

I was just about to post this Chinese tiny launcher here. This is an amazing work!

This launcher is actually independent of Lazylauncher! You DON'T need lazylauncher AT ALL!

I have no idea how the author realize the single player and race selection (with observer & reference function enabled) with a tiny 65KB program. The author probably developed his crack in a TOTALLY DIFFERENT way from the Lazytown team. It's not sandbox based at all.

The current version is still buggy and only works stable for 2-player map on my machine. For most 4-player map, it'll give error or can't place the AIs in the game. Maybe the program is not compatible with all maps but this is anyway a breakthrough in my opinion.

This one is pretty easy compared to the chinese cheating mod of Starcrack AI 5.5. (See http://darkblizz.org/Forum2/ai-scripts/improved-starcrack-ai-5-5-cheating-version!/) The author claimed to improve it soon.

I spend a couple hours sorting out the stats for all fighting units and damaging spells and made a spreadsheet (attached). I include the attack cooldown, splash radius and movement speed which are hidden to public. I also calculate the DPS (damage per second) for all units so you can clearly know and compare their fighting power.

The data are based on following xml files extracted from Base.SC2Data in the lastest patch:
AbilData.xml
EffectData.xml
UnitData.xml
UpgradeData.xml
WeaponData.xml

Correct me if you find any errors.

This improved script is made by a Chinese player buyiyi at http://3dmgame.chnren.com/bbs/showtopic-1149048.html (same forum for the enhanced Protoss & Zerg AI author).

The comments show that the improvements are quite decent. The AI now uses resource more wisely and completely, and knows how to defend better.

Update: Midgame AI strategy completely rewritten and AI detection capability greatly enhanced. Many other tweaks too. This is the last improved version of  StarCrack AI before the epic 6.0 comes.

P.S. Install StarCrack AI 5.5 Cheating version first and then extract the attached file to the Starcraft II beta folder. It'll show StarCrack AI V5.5++ THE LAST.

I notice that the starcrack AI 3.0 is good enough for practicing purpose. But the AI fight against each other which makes beating them too easy. If the hacked AI map can make 3 AI allied to each other (MELEE mode), it'll much more challenging and interesting. And I dont think there will be any inherent difficulty for realizing MELEE mode since we've already achieved FFA mode.
