SC2 Tools / SC2 Single Player Crack
July 26, 2010, 07:36:10 PM
Props to Sheppard for quick crack: SC2.exe Crack: http://ul.to/k9s7hh

QuoteHow to play campaign maps without owning a Battle.Net Account

Requirements:

MPQ Editor: http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html
SC2Crack http://ul.to/k9s7hh

1. Extract SC2Folder\Campaigns\Liberty.SC2Campaign\Base.SC2Maps to a folder of your choice
2. Open up the Mapeditor that comes with SC2 and create a new map and save it as template.SC2map - then close the Editor
foreach Map 3.

3.1. Create a folder with the according map name e.g. TRaynor01
3.2. Copy and paste the template.SC2Map file in there
3.3. Open the template.SC2Map with the MPQ Editor
3.4. Go to the folder where you extracted the files of Base.SC2Maps - in my case: D:\Games\StarCraft II\Maps\Campaign\TRaynor01.SC2Map\
3.5. Drag and drop the files from the folder in the MPQ Editor
3.6. Close MPQ Editor - rename the template.SC2Map to the map name - in this case TRaynor01.SC2Map

To launch the maps - use the SC2 Mapeditor, as drag 'n dropping them over SC2.exe will cause them to bug.

Enjoy playing campaign, altho this is quite a hacky way, you can do it.

2) In that topic tell me your Clan's Name, how many members you have
3) Tell us what usernames you want to add to the moderator list
3) Tell us anything else about the clan you wish

Later on we'll be providing hosting for clan sites with SC2 templates.

General Discussion / RealID System - Good Or Bad?
July 08, 2010, 11:22:19 AM

Well for those that don't know, its basically using your real name/identity on blizzards new games like WoW and SC2 (http://us.battle.net/realid/).  And it has created some heated debate on why the fuck they are pushing this so much.
So as a act of faith, a blizzard employee himself went out and gave his Real ID out as a effort to say, see it's all ok.   But that Obviously backfired lol: Poor Micah-
Quote from: WowRiot.comRecently, we introduced our new Real ID feature http://eu.battle.net/realid/, a new way to stay connected with your friends on the new Battle.net. Today, we wanted to give you a heads up about our plans for Real ID on our official forums, discuss the design philosophy behind the changes we're making, and give you a first look at some of the new features we're adding to the forums to help improve the quality of conversations and make the forums an even more enjoyable place for players to visit.

The first and most significant change is that in the near future, anyone posting or replying to a post on official Blizzard forums will be doing so using their Real ID -- that is, their real-life first and last name -- with the option to also display the name of their primary in-game character alongside it. These changes will go into effect on all StarCraft II forums with the launch of the new community site prior to the July 27 release of the game, with the World of Warcraft site and forums following suit near the launch of Cataclysm. Certain classic forums, including the classic Battle.net forums, will remain unchanged.

So Blizzard are now making it so instead of showing your character on those forums, it'll instead show your real name with the option of attaching your char name too it (no option of not showing your real name).

Now I think it's fairly safe to say that this is perhaps the dumbest idea that anyone has ever had ever.

To alleviate people's concerns, Blizzard employee Bashiok decided to say his real name on the forums, his real name is Micah Whipple

I think we can all see what a great idea this is going to be.

As you can see from the above link, all his info was posted across the web, facebook, emails, phone numbers, pictures, addresses.

Of course others see no problem with this as depicted in this cartoon.

http://www.cad-comic.com/comics/c0a129271278475206.jpg

Obviously that cartoonist doesn't know much about the internet world and how much users can be affected if they were targeted.  And who's to say some1 won't just exploit this RealID system as a means of further criminal activity that can all spawn from the RealID system.

To me the risks outweigh the benefits, and if Blizzard continues this stupid marketing scheme of social gamer network it will pose more problems in the future.  Blizzard is acting like BP here in where BP was putting costs ahead of safety.  As shown by the Micah example of how out of hand this RealID thing can get, hopefully Blizzard realizes it and makes changes.
Most likely they'll just add into their ToS or User Agreement that they are not liable for what happens becuase of the RealID, blah blah blah.

Who knows....thoughts?

SC2 Tools / Cracked SC2.exe and MapEditor
July 07, 2010, 06:45:36 PM

Props to Sheppard

Quote from: SheppardI cracked SC2.exe/SC2Editor.exe so you can test the new beta already without live servers.

SC2Editor.exe goes into the Support folder and the SC2.exe goes into Versions\Base15976. Don't forget to make a backup of both files so you can play once the servers are up.

When you start the SC2Editor and the nag screen occurs which asks you to login, press no then you can use it without any problems.

Suggestions / Tips for using RoDv2
July 02, 2010, 01:04:53 PM
Post any useful tip you have for namebotting in general here.

Here's a tip for xfer of charnames so you don't lose them to someone else.credits to moona

Load whatever BNCS account you want the name to go to in RoDv2 and load that charname by itself in a list and start it
Then load D2 up and login to the BNCS which has that character name in it, and then delete it.
RoDv2 should then pick it up right after it got deleted and now you have the character on the name you want.

The Workshop / Some other additions
June 14, 2010, 02:40:14 PM
Decided to re-add the shoutbox/chat in forum and removed the shoutbox on front page.  Easier / Faster moderation and chatting this way.

Also you can now add more stuff to your profile.

Also if posting really large images use the hs (highslide) button - so it can shrink the image and when clicked upon re open in regular size.
