wow.. im really having a hard time going against protoss on 1 on 1 using terrans, i got off 5 reapers, about 8 marauders and 15 marines, and also add up 3 - 5 hellions and he sends me a pack of zealots (about 8) 5 stalkers, 3 immortals.. then.. THE END :(

protoss are too easy? can't believe you guys are saying that but..

judging from my friend's battle last night..
he used protoss, he had 3 enemies, 1 protoss, 1 zerg (i guess or was it terran?) and 1 terran..

he survived the 1st minor wave that the Uprising Terran sent him.. after that he tried to harass his neighbor with his 2 colossus and 2 carriers (which ended up not destroying the base) his observer detected the marines are trying to remove the obstacle in the middle of the rich mineral field, within 30 mins in game he was able to build 4 carriers, 3 colossus and tested out ground units (stalkers, zealots, immortals) then..

terran units (thor, siege tanks, vikings and hellions + marauders) came busting his place out..

the problem with him is that he toyed with the game, but even thou it was like that, thor took out 2 of his carriers and 1 colossus :(

well i never saw them wasting time expanding, i never saw the other 2 expand -_- whenever i try to scan them off, i just see their base, and i scan again to look for their army and.. NOTHING  ???

i can't even beat the medium on 5.5 diff :(

that really was idiotic.. "SCII will have Lan play but must have Bnet authentication" FU.. wth is wrong with them.. they already took out some fun parts and sick stuffs in SCII and they took the BEST OF IT... *sigh* even if the full version was released.. this SCII wont be much of a glamor to us anymore.. it wont be the prized possession of all gaming society :(

-dude let's play SCII!

-ok! i'll go terran!

once they sat the other guy thought that there is actually a LAN..

-where the hell is the lan button? all i see is LOGIN TO B.Freakin net??

-crap you don't own a battle.net account?

-i can't even afford to buy milk at the store..

-awww gg :(

the good sides:
-i think they focused a lot of units in Terran since this is their first expansion the Wings of Liberty, it's their advantage :D but if you're really a strategist you'll get over it :D
-Campaigns would probably rock offline and singeplayers
-new heroes for all expansion
-new units and more more more maps :D

well i was playing 5.5 two times now.. and here's what i found out..

-if you went on playing 4x4 FFA one of the AIs will stand out and eliminate the Two (you'll be one of them if you survive his rush attacks)
-two of the FUTURE losing teams (the likely duplicated faction) doesn't much EXPAND or Make an army... so the AI that does not have a duplicate will probably win over them easier..
-the only outstanding AI sends out scouts and waves of attacks.. dunno why :(
-i think 5.5 made the color of my base GREEN and made them ALL RED :(

anyways this is what i found out.. i hope the future releases of the AIs gets better and balanced :D

is there a manual download for this patch? and i dont seem to get it, i ran SC2 and it went directly to the login screen :(

guys this is still beta, lots of units and map hasn't come out yet, thou im somewhat quite dissapointed as well, some visual effects are just like 2D, there's no new added feature in the GUI, they just added details of the upgrades (and a cheap one too  :'(

e.g.
Marine
-General all Purpose Unit

can attack ground and air units
weak against - zealots blah blah)

they should've added that :(

at the same time there were imbalance all over the units tier.. but all in all, i support them since they gave off the best they've got for us :D i hope the full release would be a lot better than just the beta :D

well i haven't tested this to the latest ai but..

did you know, that AI units doesn't attack Destructible Obstacles? (rocks that block the way) i fooled the zerglings after surviving the first attack, i had my CC uplifted and moved away (not really in plain site but they can spot me since my Base expansion is really narrow) i had my CC moved up to the upper expansion slot with 2 entrance (one to the rich mineral field and my original expansion slot) after the destruction of my buildings i had 2 of my scvs hidden in the bushes, then after that i landed my CC nearby the expansion slot.. built two SCVs, built barracks to destroy the rocks and rebuilt my army.. after an hour and a half in game the zergs and toss didn't seem to notice that and never disturbed me :D

thou they do know how to xpand :D

this is going to be another breakthrough, i hope you sort if out, it's not really fun going against FFA :D (it would be if you weren't targeted first..) at the same time the AIs only gets 1 duplicate race,

eg.

you - terran
P1 - Protoss/Zerg
P2 - protoss/Zerg
P3 - Zerg/Protoss

this already happened twice now (as well as the problem i had  :'( )

anyways that was AI V4 not sure about AI v5.5 :D

well thanks, while you're on working for 2.5 can i know how to place AI v5.5? :D i think v4 went brain dead after killing protoss, and i FOOLED it by letting my CC move to the upper base :D

it's not a graphics problem actually the game runs smoothly i don't like playing a game at low graphics, if that happens then i should just play SC  :'(
