is the updated ai playable using patch 9+?
#32
... of course people play to have fun. and its not fun if you lose when you play. so when that time comes and you are about to lose, you'd at least give your opponent a hard time eliminating you. ahahaha. i know how you feel cause the same exoerience happened to me in one of my placement matches. he lost at 15min mark and the game was over in 23mins. that guy gave me a lot of time finding the 2 floating cc's in the map.. but hey, a win is still a win..

... were already at patch 10!! its not a major patch so it wasnt included in the forums.. just a fix on patch 9. it should be called patch 9.5!  ;D

... is this compatible with patch 10?
#35
... ei this fix is for loading screen crashes! not for in-game crash! you could check the battle.net forums for other related problems. you can browse the forums but cannot post unless you have an acct w/beta key. ow and check your pc if you have the latest updates, graphics card updates etc.

on your launcher click on the Advanced button and you will see the 2 plugins. and of you select one you can see if it is enabled or disabled. the ai though is pretty weak. as in super weak. so you wont enjoy playing but you can practice your build and get used to spawn larva as V button and burrow as R button.  ???

@reaper-the default ai is the Base.SC2Data file in Starcraft II Beta/Mods/Liberty.SC2Mods. it is 709kb and it is the file you usually replace if you want to play against ai. if you deleted/replaced it with another file, check the forums cause someone posted a link here(not sure where) and download it. or if you used SC2Launcher 2.2.1 i think it is the one titled No Mod.

@zurn5000- if you crash during the loading screen, try doing the steps i stated in my previous reply. the launcher works, but you should use version 14803 ow and the bypass is only used for watching replays. it doesnt have anything to do with the launcher so the problem is in the ai scripts

sc2 launcher still works. we can even play using patch 9 or 10 but we need to disable the NativeAPI and Team plug in and click free for all and use blizzards default ai(very easy) the log in bypass really dont work and the launcher isnt the problem why we cant play ai. the ai are not compatible to patch 9 and 10 so we really cant play except if we use the default ai

i think the problem is your pc doesnt support sc2. the game doesnt usually crash if you use the launcher. it does that when you played using your bnet acct then forcibly closing it using task manager. the game creates a registry entry which causes the crash. the crash occurs while in the loading screen. if this happens do this.

1.Run regedit
2.go into computer>HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software  >Blizzard Entertainment>Battle.net
3.Delete the dirtycacheindex registry

if you dont see this file DO NOT TAMPER ANY OTHER FILES IN THE REGISTRY!! after that go to (for windows 7 and vista) C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\ and delete the index.new file.

if the game still crashes, clear your cache folder.

this fix is ONLY for crashes while loading a replay, or loading an ai game but exits at 90% i think of loading. if the crash occurs in game, DO NOT ATTEMPT to follow this!! it might be a hardware problem (overheating) if you experience crash while playing( during clash etc). hope this helps

... uhm its not the launchers problem, its more of the ai's. well you see patch 9 and 10 messes up the ai scripts so we cant play ai using patch 9 and 10. if you want to play using the current ai use patch 8 instead. lets just wait for new ai's to be released that are compatible to patch 9 and 10

wow youre right!! disabling the 2 plug ins will remove the error message. then the problem is about reconfiguring the ai scripts and the plug ins.. wah i cant wait playing patch 9!! i played a while ago with people and sometimes the ai are stronger than players!! ahaha and you dont really experience lag on ai.

.. yeah zoxc can you edit your launcher for patch 9? it still works for patch 8 but if you open it using patch 9 a pop up window opens and it says

NativeAPI

03880000 - Access violation at address 007AA63F in module NativeAPI.dll read of address 03527000

then another pop up comes out

Timer Natives

System Error. Code 87.
The parameter is incorrect.

then the game loads but you and your ai enemy will not respawn. plz update this launcher. its the best i use and it doesnt even need installation or anything >.<

edit: ow and if anyone who made the file Battle.net.gfx used to open the homepage is reading this plz update the file, it doesnt work anymore
