Note: This thread is for discussing the NON-CHEATING AI of our current version 4.0

Please give us some feedback to the AI:
Is it too hard?
Easy to beat?
What are the weaknesses, what do you want to be changed?
Currently we try to implement more builds to have more variations in the game :)

well i try to play at Insane Mod , and it was realy easy i finish them in  like 7-8 min :(

First game with new AI:

Blistering Sands 1v1
me = terrain
ai = zerg

I turtled up and the AI sent about 15 Hydras and 20 Zerglings. 
I was a little behind (being bad) and only had 2 siege tanks out, they were ranged down by the hydras.

Good AI so far, going to do another test to see how well they expand / deal with turtles.

(this AI was harder and smarter than v3)

i had 1 match so far vs protos
it was impressive, he build quite fast zealots and stalkers and expanded,  at midgame he attacked with immortals, darktemplers and archons so it was very challenging

the difficulty is good in my mind

First of all THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR WORK !


And now some bitter words.

I played few games on Lost Temple 1/1/1/1 and noticed that :

- all my protoss oponents build 2x warp shrines what is nonsens !
- the expansion still have no protecting units. Only 1 or 2 canons
- AI make only 1 expansion
- AI make only one army and if this army get crushed he won't build another
- zerg dies instantly after 5 minutes :/ (killed by AI)
- I never played against Terran xD (after 3 or 4 games)
-as I lifted off command center and moved on the island AI wasn't able to charm me

It is a way toooooooooooo easy of the insane level, when I had pop of 120 of Roaches and Hydra, I rushed the insane AI, and AI had like 7 - 9 units, it is just too easy. I appreciate all your had work to make this happen. I'm just disappointed about the fact the AI is stupid.

The only thing thats bad, is that Protoss seems to lag real far behind in terms of unit the Terran and Zerg vs the cheating computer "triggerlibs" mod that Im using.

This AI isn't so stupid as the first one

I have played against protoss. At first he made few zealots, then he had made a lot of archons and sent few waves of them but they always retreated, and didn't kill any of my tanks. He expanded 3 times, what is good, but he doesn't defend his bases with canons he just sent few archons and attacked my tanks with probes. He built few stargates but I haven't seen any flying object. I killed him without problems, but seems to be harder than ever before.

I played a match versus the Terrans "TvsT". They expanded only one time, after i destroyed their command center seems like they already gave up. In the beggining they started to make their army. After i decimated the AI units as GuRU sayed they will not make another army, just small groups composed by 3-5 units.

EDIT : Oh d'oh! i was talking about the 3.0 my bad xD

you've done something wrong, we have no insane level.

Hey guys.

That's the best AI I've seen so far it's realistic and without cheating.And for the guys who are talking bout it's too easy....you know we are talking bout the NEW AI. And it's not that easy as the first.

AI v4 notes:

I played Protoss 1v1 against AI v4 Terran on Desert Oasis(2).  I was at the bottom location.  I built a wall of photon cannons on the upper ridge of my main base.   After awhile the computer had about 6 Vikings that he'd fly in, and as soon as he'd reach my photon cannons, he would accidentally allow one or two to be killed, and then fly off without doing anything.  Then he'd come back 5-10 seconds later and do the same thing - retreat.  He'd send more Vikings in but he'd still never get anywhere.  He'd do this OVER and OVER and not get anywhere.  The AI would make no other advances on me besides his Viking advance, which kept failing.  His stalling allowed me to mass an unnecessarily sized army to defeat him, as he seemed to have complete tunnel vision over the Vikings - not appearing to be doing much of anything else at all. 

I got in his base and he barely had an army.

I hope this information will be useful in some way..

BTW I'm 100% positive I was using v4 AI... the game started with the "v4 GET READY TO BE DESTROYED" or whatever message it was
