Why does it have to be on the left, I think this look really good, there is no rule that said the banner name must sit left centre or right, its about making a kick ass banner

It's a matter of taste.

My decision about the stuff you said are:

Everyone who enters the Website knows where he is, cause of the entered URL. SO there is no need for a "left" writing

The Banshee creats the place because it should make the illusion that it is flying out of the image right into the head of the viewer.
I know that the illusion is not working like i wanted, but maybe i will change it in a another version.
