Don't bother. LAN is not going to happen. Even I've come to realize that, and this is coming from the guy who was their forum moderator. The site went down on Sunday and even the email address where I've kept in contact with them is no longer in existence. Even I knew something was fishy when the project leader emailed me asking me to tell people the project was going to cost money, even though before, the former project leader (who was apparently scrapped), insisted they would never charge for something. I told him I would do no such thing, unless I got the product in my hands and tested it personally. Well, soon after that he shut everything down.

So Code-Gen is fake. You heard it even from my mouth. ;)

I think it's safe to say that Blizzard has won, at least for awhile. There will not be any LAN project, nor bnet emu, nothing. Let's just all move on.

This just proves that you are a fucking retard.
I wonder how many people got scamed and how much money they made because of you acting like their PR.

Btw there are other people working on the protocol, fucking newb.

Anyone who donated money to a project without first testing it is the moron, not me. Until literally this last day when they sprung back up out of nowhere (I hadn't talked with them in a month), they have publicly told people to NOT donate. This last time, they asked for donations for literally one day. That's it. So trust me, they didn't make crap off of this.

Seriously, you need to grow up a little. You don't know what went on behind the scenes. You know nothing that I know. Not to mention the fact that this last Administrator that reopened the forums, had absolutely horrid English. Hell, he even asked me to donate money... a guy who has been their supporting them the whole time. It wasn't the same person I talked with before. The guy I talked with before had perfect English, was polite and refused donations. He didn't even put up advertisements on the site to make money, and refused people when they offered to transfer the site to a larger server with more bandwith.

Bottom line is that last weekend, it was a different person than whom I've talked with in the past.

So how about YOU stop being the newb in this, and realize you don't know the whole story. Hell, that was only a 1/10th of the story I just told you. So shut the hell up.

Seriously dude learn to not post spoilers in your title. I was going to watch those today to see how it ended. Now you just ruined the results for me.

Nah not really, only be down for a week or two between phases.
In between downtime we use a launcher to play, really no problem.

I wont see any downtime at all :)

Why are people continuing to say this? Seriously, learn to read. They said that the first phase is ending May 31st. The game launches July 27th. All they said was the second phase would start up a couple weeks before the game launches to make sure all their changes work correctly. That means most likely the 2nd Phase of Beta starting around the 4th of July or so. Which means MINIMUM 4-5 weeks between phases.

I just went to the gamestop nearby and they just stopped giving out beta keys last night. Even tho I put down 10$ for the game I can't get into the beta. :( fml - Just fyi to anyone else thinking about going.

I heard the terran is doing pretty well with MMM. Have you guys been watching the replays?

Why in the world did you wait so long to get the gamestop preorder beta access?

Also, MMM gets slaughtered now because it's so easily expected from a Terran. That or just a straight marauder push. Just mass banelings if you are Zerg and watch the carnage lol. And I play Protoss, and if I do a healthy mix of zealot, stalker, sentry, I have yet to lose against a bio ball. They are just too predictable. Throw in 1-2 colossi and it's GG.

 Hi.  I'm not familiar with the events that occur after the beta closes.  Will Blizzard send out an update that disables playing the game, or maybe like an uninstall file, or do they just shut down their servers and think that is enough to prevent people from playing the beta?

You are right, when the beta period ends, the demand for offline crack and AI will soar!

Cheers!

They will just shutdown bnet. There is no way they can force people to uninstall the product, even though that is technically what you are required to do. So yes, lots of people will be playing hacked AI in that period of time.

Sorry, but it's most likely true. :(
For whoever just got the beta, hurry and play it, and for whoever planning on buying a beta key or what not, don't do it.

I can already see a big boost in crack version just to play with AI

Its actually the first phase of beta that is ending on may 31st

After couple of weeks blizzard will be launching the final bet version before the actual launch date with major changes to battlenet(probably with sorted regions )

You are mixing that up. Nowhere did they say after a couple weeks they will be launching phase two. They said at SOME POINT they will launch phase 2 for a couple weeks before launch. Launch is July 27th. That means, at best, Phase 2 will be like an "Open Beta" starting mid July, which is a month and a half away from when Phase 1 Beta ends.

So basically Beta is pretty much over. No point in getting excited for Phase 2, because by then it's practically time to just get the game anyways.

He's not that good, really. He always plays standard and gets easilly thrown off by irregular builds. I'd love to see a match Idra vs TLO, that would be fun as hell.

**********SPOILER ALERT********

Well unfortunately that won't happen, as he'll be going up against WhiteRa. However, at least whitera loves to proxy, so maybe he'll proxy the heck out of Idra. ;)
