« on: September 03, 2010, 08:53:45 AM »
If you'll look at the date the exe was made it was in june in the time of starcraft beta, hence the name.
It most probably doesn't work for this version.

for me on one Windows XP is not working.
I have installed EU-en version
I have made this crack work on other computers but not on this machine.
the keytro is not working.
the Licenses value from\S2 is deleted when I press play as guest and the game tell me that it cannot wotk without account.
any other ideea?

General Discussion / Re: For you guys not clear about Lan

We just want a minimalistic local private server to be able to play in a LAN.
This was done with Warcraft 3 when it was in beta stage and had no LAN or Single Player mode. This shall exist for Starcraft 2 as well.

5 will merge sc2 with all the other games once the release is stable. This, IMO, most likely means the channel system will remain intact. Blizzard has had huge success with it, and they don't intend to break it. SC2 will not be isolated like WoW.

I don't argue that it will merge. I stand only that the protocol and other internal stuff are too different and there is no point in using bnetd or pvpgn because anyway you'll have to do a total rebuild.
I said also that Starcraft2 have a similar communication protocol with WoW, not that all organizational stuff will be the same.
For the moment, we are looking at all options and trying to find the best and easy way to implement a 2.0 private server. Old servers are of no use.

6 2.0 has a totally different communication protocol and different things behind the interface. This result in absolutely no compatibility with the old
Like there are WoW private servers and are not compatible with bnetd or pvpgn, this way Starcraft 2 will have another type of - 2.0 (witch indeed, you guessed, is more similar to WoW than to old starcraft, warcraft3, diablo 2 etc).

Starcraft II Beta / Re: FAQ: How to dump packets
« on: February 25, 2010, 12:34:31 AM »
Password encription is useful too. If someone can provide us with an auth dump and password  used and change their password before sending the dump it would be great.
It could be great if there will be multiple auth dumps with diferent passwords.

2g4u, you could:

1. change the password to something else (password1)
2. dump the auth process
3. change the password back to your original friend account
4. send us the dump and the password1
5. posibbly repeat step 1 and 2 for more diferent passwords authentication dumps.

Will you?

There is no successful authentication packets, search for string: 42 48 21 02(SC2 Auth), answer to this packet is 40 28 00 e8 00 00 00 00(Bad password). I already implemented this type of packets in server, I also written the code for alert and bnetfile protocols.

Sorry. I really thought it was. As soon as I'll find one I'll post here.
I'm afraid we will need a few of those auth messages to recognize pattern.
