Yes, I was saying I hate cheaters, and I do!  You don't even realize what you're saying.  A zoom mod is NOTHING like a map hack.  Ever hear of fog of war?!?  Even if I zoomed ALL the way out (which I definitely would NEVER do because you wouldn't even be able to see individual units) all I would see is a black map, and only areas that my units are actually located in.

Maphack lets you see the entire map with NO fog of war.  Seriously, it's a night and day difference - no comparison.

Not only that, if you would have bothered to even read my post, I said 15% zoom out, and change the angle a little - if you passed 5th grade math, you'd know that's a very marginal zoom, and would give me absolutely no edge in the game over my opponent, ESPECIALLY when there's still fog of war. 

Can someone please let me know if anyone has figured out a way to use ANY zoom mod on bnet?  I don't think it should be called a hack at all, because zooming out 20% is not cheating at all.  It should be called a mod.

The default zoom is driving me fkn crazy - the furthest zoom setting (default @ game start) is WAY too close!! Before I got into the beta, my offline zoom hack was working perfectly - I even customized all the values myself in the CameraData file within the Base file in the core folders.  I set about a 15% further zoom out, and changed the angle to more of an overhead view (70 deg), and it was PERFECT!!!

It's not working at all on Bnet however  :bangshead: Before the game finishes loading (pre-game loading screen), it keeps disconnecting me and crashes to the desktop with a desync error.  Maybe it won't desync if the zoom hack is applied AFTER the game starts?

I REALLY hate map hackers, and cheaters in general.  I see this group of people as a bunch of sad gamers that wish they were better players, so they have to try to give themselves a huge handicap just to win. 

The funny part is, a lot of the times they STILL lose, even with the maphack on! lol  I guess if you suck, you suck - no hack in the world can substitute for shitty game skills. 

So, I'll continue to actually SCOUT, and play the game as it was meant to be played... and I'll continue to steamroll you sad maphackers.  I mean seriously, how utterly shitty will you feel playing against me with a maphack and still losing?

Did you pre order at GameStop??  Maybe they're not printing out two anymore, but I went and pre-ordered pretty early, so I got two.  AFAIK GameStop is the only store printing out two keys.

Also, I don't know about other stores, but I only had to leave a $5 deposit.  The other $55 is charged only when the game ships.  So technically, even though the beta costs $5, it's really free because that $5 is going towards the purchase of the game.

How exactly do you start a ranked 2v2 with a friend?  Do you just invite, and then click look for game??

I don't know about you guys, but bnet is not letting me add friends unless they're online.  Is that the case for everyone??  I've tried to add two different ppl from the forums so far, and it keeps telling me "Character doesn't exist".  wtf?

btw, I'm plat 2v2... #2 in my division actually.

Well something is def wrong because I've checked the spelling of your ID 5 times, and I'm typing it all correctly into the right side, including the identifier... I keep getting an error msg, with the title: "Character does not exist", with "unable to find friend" in the message box.  wtf??

Malu, do you know if anyone has tried this on Bnet???  I tried modifying the actual CameraData file in the Base files, and while it worked perfectly offline before I got into the beta, I was unable to start ANY games on Bnet!  Every single time I would get a desync error, which makes sense - they're basically saying that the player I was set up to play doesn't have the same Base files as I do since I modified mine, hence the desync.   

I'm also thinking if I do manage to get into a game with the hack running, and then I start to change the camera angle/zoom, it might desync me on the spot, unless you've figured out a way to do it without modifying the base files at all???

p.s. I'm completely not interested in mineral or speed hacking, I'm just wondering if ONLY the camera hack will work on Bnet.

 I just got into the beta, and upon playing my first few 1v1's, I noticed pretty quickly that every single opponent sucked pretty badly.  Then I played a few 2v2's and got lucky by just happening to get a somewhat decent partner, while the other two players pretty much always sucked...

If you're not in the beta yet, I'm sure you've heard by now - (if you're in the US - not sure about Europe) it's as easy as going to GameStop, and leaving a $5 deposit for a SC2 pre-order.  They'll then print out a receipt with TWO beta keys.  You don't even have to pay the remaining $55 for the game until it actually ships, whenever the hell that will be!  So essentially, you're paying only $5 to get you AND a friend into the beta for as long as the beta lasts.

  That's pretty sad if you can't afford $5...seriously.  I went to GS yesterday and left a $5 deposit, and off I went with 2 beta keys printed on my receipt - took me a total of 2 minutes.  I'm using one, and I gave the other to my bro.  I played 5 or so games so far, and haven't lost yet.

Vernam, I'm having a weird issue with your launcher that doesn't happen on other launchers.  For some reason, many of the building and unit sounds get cut off before they finish.  It's very noticeable and very irritating.  I even turned the sound sample setting all the way up, and it still happens.  Do you have any idea what could be causing that?

It's def not a PC spec problem, and it doesn't happen on other launchers.

Also, will the new maps work with the next version of the launcher??  I haven't updated to patch 9 yet, but I downloaded some new maps like Scorched Haven, and I get "unable to load game" when trying to launch the game with any of the new maps.   

 I don't know about you guys, but I'm going into the store later to pre-order - they print out the beta key right on the receipt.  Unless the nearest GS is really far from your house, why order online and sit and wait for the key when you can get it instantly in the store??   :thumbsup:
