The download link in the original post is wrong, it takes you to an error page. It should be http://sc2.nibbits.com/assets/starcrack-allin1/.

Anybody know how to get in contact with code-gen? I was going to suggest to them that they make some sort of twitter or facebook (or anything like that) type of account where they can post up all their progress. In hopes that people stop swarming their website looking for updates
They have already announced that they won't do that, they'd rather have the site go down due to bandwidth exceed every month.

Am sorry I didn't know that BETA versions didn't have campaigns....
Thanks for the help......

But I hope there is a campaigns launcher once the official release is released......

All you'll have to do is buy the full game and run it, and there you have the campaign.

AI Discussion / Re: AI vs AI?
March 24, 2010, 05:36:47 AM
Currently it's not possible since only one AI patch can be in effect at the same time. It could only work if all the AI makers agreed on a "front end" that could choose between multiple AIs (which would be integrated into a single patch) based on things like player number/color and race.

Rev 53 STILL gives me "unable to open map".

And no, it's not my fault because the other launchers still work. This one is simply not robust enough.

Try reading the readme. Especially the part where it sais

!!!INSTALLALTION!!!
Copy all of your maps from the
c:\users\<yourname>\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\cache
to:
C:\Users\<yourname>\Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Maps

and stop being so arrogant.

Do you think that wasn't the first thing I did before even running the launcher for the first time?

As for being arrogant... I'm only trying to get the launcher to work. As it doesn't, and the others do, consider my posts about this a bug report.

If you are using Windows XP SP3 and getting a "Open Map Error" try using the "Set Map Path" feature.

I'm getting the "Open Map Error" on Windows 7, both with the default map path and custom one. The modified maps work in LazyLaunch, however the teams don't work that way and give an error message:
Trigger Error in
'gt_MeleeInitialization_Func':
Parameter out of bounds in
'PlayerGetAlliance' (value: 10, min:
Passive, max: 9)

SC2 Tools / Re: Help! Rev 40.4

I have found out how to make this launcher work. Set up the players, press launch, quit after the unable to open map message, and run the map with LazyLaunch and enjoy.

Finally I have found out how to work this thing. Even though it says unable to open map, the launcher permanently modifies the map file, and this anti-feature comes in handy as you can then run the modified map using LazyLaunch.

So in short, set up the players, press launch, quit after the unable to open map message, and run the map with LazyLaunch and enjoy.

Still not working, it says "Unable to open map" even with the "virgin" maps.
Now the interface won't even fit into 1280*800 resolution, at least on Windows 7. Maybe packing things closer together would help.

About AI selection: you don't have to care about elevation. If someone is dumb enough to install SC2 into C:\Program Files, then let him do his penance by clicking "Run as administrator" every time.

However, I think fixing "Unable to open map" should be your first priority. It's surely not my fault that it doesn't work, since the other launchers work as expected.

I can't get it to work. It says "Unable to load map", no matter which map I choose (after putting the maps linked in the first post into the correct folder).

Besides, this launcher has
- Hardcoded map path (C:\Users.... I HATE putting anything on the C: drive, as it gets wiped by next windows reinstall)
- Hardcoded game path (Other launchers let you choose the version to launch and have an option of "Latest")
- No AI choice option
- Doesn't work with maps containing 5 or more players
- No "Show FPS" etc. options

I hope you'll fix these in a future release, until then I'm using other launchers that work.
