I am currently using the Starcrack 5.5 AI. If I use this GUI instead of just running the lazytown launcher 2.0 will it still use the 5.5 or will it overwrite with a different AI?

you can use what ever AI you want. just select the one you want to use.

StarCraft II Beta GUI Installer.exe (75.6 MB) http://www.multiupload.com/2OU5O6FUDY

FAQ:

Q: Can this be uninstalled?

A: Yes it can, it includes an uninstaller.

Q: Where is this installed to?
A: C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II Beta for 64 bit. C:\Program Files\StarCraft II Beta for 32 bit.

Q: Does this add anything else?
A: Just a shortcut to the main menu & desktop.

Q: How will patches be handled?
A: If I think it requires a update ( New maps or 2 out of 5 GUIs are updated) i'll create a patch for the install. But if only one GUI is updated then you'll have to download the GUI and swap the files yourself.

Patches:

StarCraft II Beta GUI usmc23 Update.exe (4.08 MB) http://www.multiupload.com/WW7X4OKRCC

Note: Patch does not change version from 2.02 to 2.03 since it is only a small update for the usmc23's GUI.
The next update will be from 2.02 to 2.05(or less). You only need this patch if you installed the
usmc23 GUI, otherwise it will say missing file and will not install.

Patch notes:

-Updates usmc23's GUI from R34 to R35
-Creates the desktop shortcut that is missed in the main installer

Can anyone give me some tips? I'm using v3 AI because that's the easiest I could find, but I still get owned. I just can't seem to get units out as fast as the AI can. :/ you guys complain that the AI is to easy, and yet I can't even win 1 match against version 3

Can someone please give me some advice/tips?

have 10 workers getting minerals, have one working build 2 pop increasing buildings(overseer for zerg) then build a unit building building, train units and expand resources etc.

The custom maps on the new editor will be what makes this game.

Um.. :-\  I can't see any reason to limit your FPS and I don't even think it's possible if you're running at around 80 on ultra high settings, and if you are you spent a lot on your pc lol

So true.

Ya I would also be want to install it at school, but I think that it that they block reg edit on most networks. I wish there were some other way :(

use a .cmd file to write reg keys, even if they block command line .cmd files can still run. =]

unless they stop .cmd/.bat files from running.(They wont since their start up bat files to map drives etc wouldn't work.)

How about temps? CPU/GPU temps?

under-clocking and turning fans up on GPU would solve all temp problems, most likely.

Could be a hunk of dust or faulty card, but if it only affects one game then it would be more likely be software wise not hardware.
#40
If that doesn't work reply back here so we can exchange ideas. Could it be overheating? I use to play a game on a 8800GTS and it would freeze and require reset all over games were fine, but then the other games started to freeze. it was caused by the card overheating. (Had a huge amount of dust stuck in the fan.)

Edit - Yes you should be able to.
#41
hmm, game could be too much for the card when it's overclocked, but if it is stock oc'd then it should be fine. when you get "artifacting" it is usually from overclocked graphics cards or wrong drivers and/or could just need the latest driver. Have you tryed to underclock your graphics card? You could try to set it to the normal 8800 gt clock speeds.(Don't BIOS flash the card we just want a temp underclock.)

Hi guys. Everytime I try to play a game of SCII beta I get some serious artifacting almost instantly. I then will have to wait it out and get a BSOD or just hit the reset button on my computer. This happens just seconds after one of the maps finishes loading. I'm pretty desperate at this point, not sure what to do. I'm using a Intel C2D E6600 and Nvidia 8800GT. My graphics drivers are up to date. Any help you guys can provide is appreciated! Thanks!

Anything overclocked?

Starcraft II - Beta Launcher
Made by Valkirie

This beta launcher is a graphical interface for the awesome tool from LazyTown Team. It allows you to quickly change and define your settings for Starcraft II Beta, like Arguments, Maps, Difficulty and some other tweaks.

# HOWTO: Add new maps
To add new maps, just put them directly in "\Maps\" folder.

# HOWTO: Add new IA
To add new IA, create a folder with the name of your difficulty into "\AI\" with "Base.SC2Data" file in it.
   ex. "\AI\Custom Starcrack V3\"
      |- "Base.SC2Data"

You should create an installer for this so we do not have to place the files and folders ourself.

so i'm not sure if this has already been asked, but is the game supposed to be this slow? or is it just my comp specs?

i7 920 OC @ 3.87ghz
ATI radeon 4800 series
6 GB of ram (forgot what model but it was pricey)

i've tried lowering the settings and doesnt do much.
any help is appreciated.
and i'm very grateful that i can actually get to play it.
just the speed does kinda suck the fun from the game just a little.

From the looks of your specs i'd say the graphics card would be the only thing letting it down. But a 4800+ should run the game on max no problems.

Try updateing graphics card drivers etc.
