Yarrick you probably dowloaded the 0.41 - I had that Error sometimes too with the old one!

I thought i had to copy your file into another Ai (fe Strategy). Does it matter which one ill use or will it work with everyone in patch 10?

At the moment? NONE.

But I guess GT will give us a new version sonn enough, since he sounded quite enthusiastic about the new functions :)
So I guess you'll need patience and/or Patch 8...

MeeleAI is the same in every AI?
Or is this just for comparing macro managment?

Im looking through the codes, and im having trouble finding the executioning parts  :'(

Im kinda interested in starting to code too, but the beginning is the hardest, since I cant instantly check what the called functions do etc...  :S

Do you recommend looking into another AI (thats what im doing now) an is there a docu of the blizzard given functions anywhere?
Looking at strategy 0.4 i dont see where in the meleeAI functions are called ? O.o I only see definitions  :(

The hell, I guess every coder went through it. When start working on a new project, wasting tons of time just figuring out how (sometimes simple) things work, when at the same time you could have saved hours if only somebody would have taken some minutes answering your questions...

In the end everybody benefits from a neat new AI.
No one really cares if you're going to post your AI or not. If you   don't   post it, no one will ever play it, thus it would make no   difference, if   you do post it so people can play it, all of your code   becomes   available to everyone anyways. This isn't some popularity   contest. No   one is hitting F5 over and over waiting for your AI to be   released.   Hell, you're probably just ripping off the AI someone else   developed   anyways.

BTW I am looking forward to his AI and i bet some people will look at his code if his AI is neat.

Great thing is you cannot let diffrent AIs compete since you can only load one AI...


learn to do it yourself if you're in such a hurry!

try google: mpq editor or get starcraft 2 launcher

@mikezter: You need a subfolder with the name of the AI (eg. GT 0.4)

I have to agree with phobia.
The cheating version do not represent a normal player since rushes and eco harrasment wont work in the same way as they should!

I also just want a non-cheating resource handling AI which plays with its resources at full potential!
Stepping on the path of the cheating AIs is just the easier way. Too easy.

green tea was on the right path with its very nice resource handling, but i just dont enjoy the cheating versions...
Its just a zerging map to me then (which isnt easy to beat, but not what the regular player here wishes...).

Please go back to the non-cheating version or at least bring out a non(or semi!) cheating version that uses its full potential!

Dont misunderstand me! I like your AI very much ;)
