Seg faults are memory related issues.  Most commonly, your config is wrong.  Probably referencing the lockdown or hash files improperly.

Yeah, from what it looks like, the verbyte is wrong for d2.  A simple fix if your cpp / linux compiling skills are intact.  Like Myst says, SC works fine, as I'm loading SC beautifully on east with it.

Youre not registering it with administrative privileges.  Please reference http://www.mydigitallife.info/the-call-to-dllregisterserver-failed-with-error-code-0x80004005-on-windows-vista/

ocd, awesome =D

I'd look forward to using a web based (php) bot.  They are hard to come by (if any are even public).  Sounds like youre in the right direction.

First off what bit of vista are you running:

  • If 32-Bit, place LVBUTTONS.ocx in your C:\WINDOWS\system  folder
  • If 64-Bit, place LVBUTTONS.ocx in your C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64  folder
Then click start > run
    type:  regsvr32 %WINDIR%\System\lvbuttons.ocx
or type:  regsvr32 %WINDIR%\SysWOW64\lvbuttons.ocx     -  if youre 64 bit

Refer to page 1 and 2 of this post.  It clearly explains how to properly use and register lvbuttons
