I was having this problem, tried this and it fixed mine so give it a whirl

+1  i thought i was stupid as other poster said keep following the instructions to a T which i had... this fix got me around the crash.

Was excited, but I get the popup asking how to load a file, and then the same connection error when trying to get past log in. Cant get to char creation. Thats alright - I can wait for the real deal crack
