im thinking this is still gonna take more than 2 weeks, emulating something big like the internet doesn't take days, but it will be faster if the three teams would work together as one  :-\

Yea I don't see why they don't work together or at least share info/progress.

SambaDiga

I was browsing some mobile warez sites I saw this in General Talk. Someone posted a topic with link about Emu crew. Link is www.code-gen.net/sc2beta/

It seems they are working on something...

Hmm... not sure about that one. No forums, no way too communicate, and in almost every post they are asking for a beta key... Seems sketchy to me. I'll believe it when I see it.

Edit: After reading the entire thing, I think they might be legit, but even if they do crack it, it looks like they are mostly keeping it to themselves for awhile, and only releasing it to select groups...

epsiSlow

as i know we have 3 (three) teams working on the bnet emu.. one of them is gonna do it 1st.

Well if this "Code Gen" is one of those teams (and it looks like they are definitely trying to beat Teknogods), then they are very very close... Like within a week based upon the progress they've already made.

Daemonix

They are not trying to get a key. They already have two. Before this link was "leaked" site only had 56 visitors (and site is 15 days old) and now it is over 300. so I think that leeching for a key without public site is silly. They need another one so they can play between themselves for packets and other stuff. First key is used by a person who is making packets and second is a player. Third would also be a player-only.

I am the founder of this group, but I just do some legwork for them. These people are insane computer reversers and programmers so I can't fit into that category and do some serious work. I just know alot of people on RCE scene and I gathered the best. And they will do the job. When? I don't know.

Anyway, Demo video should be out in the evening or tomorrow max. so you will see how it will look like. First version anyway.

Well thanks for the update (if it's legit). Don't mind my skepticism, but it's the internet, so it's hard to trust things. ;)

However, under the pretense that this is legit, are they going to be sharing to the public once completed? Because according to that site, it sure seems like they want to keep everything fairly private.

I'm assuming the emulator and the progress they've made.
